Keep rockin Triumph. What awesome country and views. Took my Matt / Black Bonny for its warrant 2 week ago as the 3 years had run out and I forgot about it, lol.
Great view that spot out towards coast & very quite backroad not many know about.Good having Flatmate with a bike especially a Triumph & HE'S learning good too. I had range anxiety only having a 12L tank but Speedtwin is more economical than Trident at 4.3L per 100km mixed riding & odd spurt going hardout as Trident is more like 4.6-4.7L per 100km but does have Quick Shifter.
@iantownsend17 Yeah people say 24km/L & 288km per tank.Triumph states 64miles/gal.My fuel gauge says 4.3L per 100km which is close to 64miles/gal.Most I done so far is 200km & put about 8.6L in tank.I always like to leave some fuel in tank on a 12L tank I would like to leave 1.5L min in tank which is about 32km.I would be happy to do 230km max & see howvmuch goes in.Problem is fuelight comes on when there's over 3L left so about 70km to empty.I got Oxford fuel stash bag & fuel cylinder that holds 1.275L fuel ⛽️ if I want to see how far I can go but would pour that in around 250km.I been opening up on back roads & ton up a few times & cruised at 110-115kmh & on main roads just cruise at 105kmh & don't do bugger all town riding & fuel gauge says 4.3L constantly. It only dropped to 4.2L when I don't go over 105 & 115kmh passing cars but my style of riding is 4.3L/100km which is cheaper than my old Interceptor 4.7L/100 & Trident averages 4.7L but have seen it as low as 4.5L cruising & 5.2L boosting but Trident has a Quick Shifter which you can hold Throttle open while changing gear & is a triple & sucks the gas ⛽️ if boosting. I couldn't believe how economical the 900 twin is most bikes about 650cc use 4.5-4.7L per 100km so to average 4.3L & that's a mix of riding slow, fast, twisties was impressed T100 must have big range having extra 2.5L in tank. Speedtwin 900 also has 4pot Brembo on front compared to T100 2pot Brembo so you can do some spirited riding on it & new models front disc gone up from 310-320ml front disc but does have more Sporty riding position & angled seat like Speedtwin 1200 but I prefer look of my models seat over 2025 900 model.Love the torque of the 900 twin & long 1st gear & 5speed is geared just right for real world,Love it.The seat is comfy as same as on Trident no need to upgrade very impressed with Triumphs.
@jaysinhoffner2134 Thanks been a wet summer 2 good days in last 2weeks & only got 5weeks of summer ☀️ left. Mowing lawns like it's spring every week. Lawns usually yellow & sometimes is in drought & only mow the tops of f daisy's every 3weeks.
Thanks TAYM🦒.Still no Giraffes though the only one I found over here in NZ was Harold The Giraffe he's rushed off his feet being the only one here.I'm certain some more will be on their way though.
Yes it is nice Bike z900rs but no good for short assessment like me.Kawasaki should bring out a z750rs four 80hp 80Nm for shorter riders.I think z900rs is about 105hp & 100Nm thereabouts so a z750rs four at 80hp 80Nm be about right & they'd thousands like hot cakes. The z650rs twin doesn't look as good as the z900rs but shorter riders can ride it but a z750rs modern classic would ourself both put together I reckon & there's not alot around if any 750 modern classics & if Kawa did might make Honda release that Gb750 modern Classic they teased us with 18months ago & Honda already got the engine too. Also more & more people are interested in the 750-900cc segment as bikes get bigger & heavier & aging bike population people downsize. Triumph has got the Speedtwin 900 only 216kg might not gave alot of hp at 64 but got plenty of torque at 80Nm & good downsize option & Modern classic is popular segment so a few more options from 750-800cc from the Japanese manufacturers be good to go head to head with Triumph 900 & Motoguzzi V7 850.I would go Triumph or Guzzi over Japanese but good to have options.
@ Ya, you and I are talking the same language. I was bought up on 1970s motorcycles and I specially loved the 2-strokes. In my day, 900cc was classed as a huge bike and now we’re calling it medium which is sort of strange. What I like about some of the Triumph classics is, they’re low to the ground. You did the right thing in buying new and that way you know where you stand with the bike. 2nd hand can be dicey as you never know 💯% if the bike is ok and you are potentially buying other people’s problems. Can you ever see yourself getting the 1200 speed twin. Mind you 900 is more than ample in the hills and twisties.
@@ruahinesrider Hang about a little , perhaps 6 months as Royal Enfield have an 850cc 270 degree crank Twin in the pipe line , rumoured to be about 70-80 hp and 80-90 nm torque , look out Triumph !😁
@BeanerdsRE 865 big bore lucky to get 80Nm 59-65hp & if go whole hog with Reverlry big valve head & 40mm twin Throttle bodies & Powertronic with Rev extender 80-82Nm 70hp.I saw a Bikewale article & another article from India 🇮🇳 & they said 750cc 55hp 65Nm which sounds about rightf for a RE 750cc.They have to get aircooled motor through Emissions & be reliable so have a safety margin. You could buy the 750 & put air filter, headers & slip on's & give it a tune & gain another 5-6hp & 7-8Nm at the Crank boosting it up to 60-61hp 72Nm maximum at the crank still not Triumph 900 twin beating & Triumph 900 is a 5speed & 1st-2nd gear twice as long as RE 1st-2nd gear. Also if put a Xpipe back from Motone or Free Spirits on a Triumph 900 & give it a tune the Triumph gains 8hp & 6-7Nm at the crank taking it from 64hp & 80Nm to 72hp & 87Nm & a rocketship. On the Euro 5 Triumphs with Xpipe back mods you need a tune so you looking at $900-$1100 just for tune & about $600 for Xpipe back Euro 4 model Speedtwin don't need tune.Tec Cams in 55hp Triumphs & Tec Xpipe are crap alot of Triumph & bike shops can't tune them on Euro 5 & tried & now don't touch them & recommend you spen the cash & get quality to start with like Motone & Freespirits.I wouldn't buy a 55hp Triumph with a Tec cam in but buy one with a Motone or Free Spirits Cam.Tec motor internals & are more suited to Royal Enfield.Tec Cams & Exhausts are cheap for a reason their bolt on asetics stuff is good.
