The self-titled debut that started it all has turned ten.
At the dawn of the new millennium, songwriter, producer, and multi- instrumentalist Klayton created Celldweller, a ground-breaking aural entity for the next age. Thriving on originality, Celldweller cross-bred electronic styles such as Drum'n'Bass and Psy-Trance with modern Alternative Rock and Metal on his self-titled debut, released independently in 2003.
The Celldweller album met with critical acclaim while climbing to #17 on the Billboard Internet Sales Chart. Celldweller gained Top 40 Metal Radio charting with the track "I Believe You" pulling into a solid 11th place on the R&R Alternative Specialty Show Chart. Achieving a feat shared by only an elite handful of albums, every song on Celldweller was eventually licensed for use in popular media. These songs were heard in movie trailers, TV shows, and games such as Spider Man 2, Constantine, Crackdown, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Enter the Matrix, CSI, UFC, The Shield, and more.
Now, Celldweller has been reissued to celebrate the tenth anniversary of its release with updated artwork and a second disc of remixes, demos, and previously unheard rarities (all remastered for this release). While Klayton busies himself in his Detroit studio preparing the future of Celldweller for 2013, celebrate the past with this monumental work.

Recently coming back to the Celldweller-Oldies after Wuab, EoaE and recently Offworld.
It feels like coming home after a very long time.
I wish I could feel the same way I felt when I first heard 'Goodbye', Six and a half years ago..
A truely amazing song, so many emotions are involved in here, I love how the first and the second harsh parts, gets me set before the real thing, the keyboard - synth part with the shouts, sets me in a state that its just.. wow, it cleans my heart, and then the guitar part slowly calms me down..
Thank you, Klayton, for such an incredible song.
found my funeral music, thanks.
Break it
Pretty much XD
that profile pic 😂
i got mine as well, it's Stay with me unlikely.
Same
this song is ahead of his time, even in the year 3000 it would be of actuality.
One of my favorite classics for sure! And what's so dope about this song...majority clean vocals to Drop A Tuned Guitars, haha. Like A Boss!
One thing I really love about this song is the theremin (or whatever it is) that comes in near the middle. There's something about it that's just... beautiful. Intoxicating, even. And even in the other versions, it's still present. Truly a fantastic song in every aspect.
Been listening to Celldweller since I was 11, and now I'm 23. And I still love him so fucking much. Klayton is hands down my favorite artist to exist. I so hope I can meet him one day ❤
One of the best songs ever!
It's amazing how far his music has gone! I remember the stuff from 2007. It's finally time that he got recognized!
Just heard this for the first time watching series 'Alias'...love it!!
Just an FYI, the scene in question was originally scored to "Change" by Deftones, they had to swap this one in its place on streaming services due to licensing issues.
@@BeastOfMetal1989 Thanks, interesting...
That is what I was going to say. I am watching Alias the 1st time streaming and noticed alot of the music changed.
This song was the replacement.
For some reason, this music reminds me Shadow the Hedgehog
Is anyone else reminded of Portal in the beginning of this song?
I love this freaking song!!!
1:23 aaaaahm needing to understand!!!
OMG I didn't listen to music this it's amazing
If anyone is here because of an old CS video featuring this song please let me know, I have been searching for that video for 15 years
Celldweller is OFFICIALY the king of drum and bass
***** What's ur fav song bro?
Tonverg11 The king of industrial metal,Rob Swire (Pendulum) is the king of drum&bass
+1 agree
+LolDudeSRB Rob Swire is good, but I prefer liquid so I'm gonna have to go with Netsky.
+Tonverg11 Tha fuck you talking about. Klayton is an amazing musician but he isn't even trying to compete in the field of drum & bass. I mean, I'd list about a million people before him in drum & bass kingship eligibility. Current Value, Dieselboy, Billain, Zardonic, InsideInfo, Evol Intent, Tech Itch, TeeBee, Cooh. It goes on and on. This track isn't even drum & bass so why would you even say that here? Just cause it has momentary fast breakbeats here and there doesn't make it drum & bass. It's industrial. So, what? *grumpy face* *breathes heavily* O_O (NOTICE: this comment is meant to be taken in a comical light and is not meant to offend anyone. Although, the views presented remain voluntary and intentional, thank you). ;)
Such a bad ass song 👍
love it :D
i came from alias series s3 ep 19 nice song
THIS IS AWESOME *O*
epiccc
I KNEW it was by one of his old projects. Well, I had a hunch I'd known that before but had forgotten it.
Well, it was the original Celldweller version.

jokes aside I think thats what I love most about this songs are thoes bits
Fuckin awesome!

I like how he knows he screwed up, so he's not responding to anything xD
Next DmC soundtrack

song fits perfectly
The song for that scene originally was Deftones Change (House of Flies) . I was disappointed that they couldn't aquire the rights to the song for streaming.
Fuckin' Amazing
Hi, Klayton. I'm sure you wont notice this message among the mass of notifications you get each day, but if you do happen to stumble across it - I was wondering why the original version of Goodbye featured on the Circle of Dust remastered album is blocked in North America? I love both versions of this song, but the original just really stands out to me. Hope you're doing well!
2 people has shitty speakers.
and I'm not one of them
Actually 3 ppl
Different opinions*. You sound like an ignorant kid.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Someone needs to make a remix with Goodbye and the song Developers remixed from Steve Ballmer.
YEEAH! Is this new or old material? This is sweet.
Very old. It was a Circle of Dust song, Klayton's previous band/group.
Next MGR soundtrack
Anyone remember the original version of this? The band Klayton was a part of before? Can't remember for the life of me D:
Also awesome song, love your music Klayton!
Circle of dust - Goodbye?
@@nrl417 Yes thats it!
This was in Alias
The show?
@FooCards88 What episode?
his amazing what?
what are the lyrics???
This sounds like something I would hear in DriveClub.
This track should play, when you get fully upgraded car and go finish last missions.
Sounds like fast and furious for the ps2 and psp except the fact that the game uses the klayton revision version instead
@@IamcountachYT it is true
I prefer the more stripped down acoustic version he did in 1998 when he was still Circle Of
Dust.
Klay Scott-Goodbye Albert
:)
i still prefer the remix version of the 2012 it's way better than any other :D
hello
Indeed. Haha.
0:53. 1:29. 2:43. 3:32
What is the original?
Circle of Dust
It's from 98.
Search for "Klay Scot - Goodbye" or "Circle of Dust - Goodbye".
brilliant my man fucking a
I feel this is like Birthright. The original is fucking pure rock/metal awesomeness - and then the remix (in this case 2012) is fucking electronic-rock/drumstep epicosity.
However I think I prefer the Birthright 0.1 to Birthright but prefer Klayton's 2012 Mix to Goodbye.
wanna this pic
He is -> He's not his
Who came here after fast and the furious remix edition?
Found this from watching Alias for the 2nd time.
Ah. Sorry for being grammar-nitpicky. lol
Except this isn't the original.
One of those of which Voicians` cover is better
bullshit.
To each their own. I prefer this to Voicians, but I also prefer the original 98 version even more than those two and Klayton's own remix.
