    I always wash my face twice a day. You make a great point, the only person that knows what’s better for your skin is YOU!

    I agree.. it all depends on your skin
    When my skin was super dehydrated and dry I washed with water and a washcloth in the morning and it did really help get my skin into shape. Looking back I probably could have used something super gentle though. Now that my skin has normalized and I’m not so extremely dry/dehydrated I need the light gentle cleanse in the morning & couldn’t imagine going without it.

    This is so helpful. When I take a shower in the evening I wash and cleanse my face. Before I use micellair water. Even when I don't wear make-up. Afterwards I don't use any products. In the morning I wash my face. I'd cleanse it too but it doesn't really make a difference. I use a satin pillow case. Because of what you said at the end of the video I'm only going to cleanse my face in the evening. I'm only going to wash it with water in the morning. You made total sense for me. Thank you 😊.

    I really liked the idea of not cleaning my face in AM and did it for a long while, but it didn't improve my acne much. Recently, I started to use a gentle cleanser in morning to wash off layer of oil and it has finally improved! I agree with your logic.

      Yes oily and acne skin doesn't have too much choice here!

    I wash my face every morning for a couple of reasons. One, I use a petroleum based moisturizer. Two, it softens my beard for shaving. Three, it feels good and helps me wake up. 😊

    I tried both and as a former esthetician with dry skin I still prefer to wash my face in the morning. I just get better results that way.

    Well….i don’t wash my face in the morning. I use SkinBetter products morning and night. I tend to be dry as I’m older than most. I never thought I’d need to wash off the ‘leftovers’ from my night time skin care! Every morning I just add on more skincare! I’ll take this advice and try washing up in the morning. Great video. Happy holidays to all! ❤

    I do wash my face in the morning. Also I used to use a cleansing balm to take my makeup off at night. But after watching some of ur videos I have stopped doing this and started using Skin Better cleansing gel as my first and second cleanse. I can tell that it is making a difference because my skin looks smoother.

    “Thanks for your video on this topic. Your explanation makes sense, and since my skin is oily, I must wash it twice a day. It is a very unpleasant sensation not to wash my face in the morning. I always do, and now I know that it’s okay. Thanks.”

    I wash my face in the morning with cleanser, depending on the morning air environment, if I sweat at night, or put on a layer of moisturizer with my prescription tretinoin, because I can feel the skin feeling heavier, so there must be some leftover dirt or extra moisture that my skin doesn’t need. Sometimes it depends on the season that contribute to having more dirt collected at night. If I only have tretinoin on at night, I rinse with water.

    I've been incorporating BioJuve for the last five weeks or so and just use their conditioning cleanse now in the morning, with a double cleanse at night (actually triple I suppose, as I follow the two steps with the BioJuve conditioning product as well)... I'm really enjoying this lighter cleanse in the morning. It sorta feels like a half step between no wash and wash.

    I have heard this statement too even Selma Hayek talks about how her mother taught her not to wash her face in the morning. I think it depends on many factors many of which you pointed out. Personally I love washing my face, especially after doing a zinc mask. I feel like my actives absorb better after a good wash.

      @theocbeautymd  ปีที่แล้ว

    The video made sense. I just don’t know what’s best for MY skin type. I’m dry -dehydrated. I alternate zo skin hydrating cleanser and eminence stone crop gel cleanser .. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 🤔

    I work at home a lot and if I'm not going out, I often just splash my face with warm water, gently massaging the eye area to remove anything on the lashes then I'll pat on a natural toner and light moisture and go about my day. Neither I nor my bed are dirty, and I don't have acne. I believe sometimes the skin needs a break.

    • @theocbeautymd
      @theocbeautymd  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I've tried not washing my face in the morning and it made my face overly oily and boosted my sebum production so i broke out way more i find washing only 1 time in the morning is fine and keeps my skin healthy

    Thanks for the video! Just a question here to me. What about an oily skin that became oily due to damaged skin barrier? After struggling with acne for many years i realized it was my harsh skin care to make it worse. So i just do a really gentle pm skin care and skip the whole routine in the morning. The inflammed acne got better, but some whitheads started to pop up here and there. I've heard after a month or so the oiliness gets better (when the barrier is back to normal actually) so i should keep it up. What are your toughts here? :)

      Hi, can you update your results? I also have oily acne prone skin

    • @atousagarousian
      @atousagarousian 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @cuquat7225 sure! Skipping the am routine did a miracle (I still use mineral spf) my skin got less oily and all the sensitivity is gone. If you're struggling with acne, most of the time it's hormonal and you have to change your lifestyle for that, I promise it'll get better! Most of the skin care just made my skin sensitive and did more damage than help. Keep it less, change your lifestyle and you'll see how much it's gonna get better.

    You must be talking about Dr. Dre. She also doesn’t like the products that you tell us about she thinks they’re overpriced and nothing great I don’t agree with everything she talks about but she has a lot of great knowledge you’re in a different category and I get it so I’m on your side lol

    If products are exfoliants and are prone to make the epidermis shed, it would be best to wash and remove any dry skin. I couldn’t go without washing my face 😂
