@@JPJonesBSc there are 9 poise breakpoints between 68-91 poise. There are only two poise breakpoints under 68, so basically three big poise goals are 53, 68, and 111 I would say, and 123 is the maximum poise breakpoint as well.

I've recently run a similar build with a magic fire knight greatsword (with chilling mist), Carian knight shield (Carian retaliation), And the Carian regal scepter. (Not counting my magic Misericorde with endure so I can land things like point-blank haima canon) It is unspeakably cathartic to send a star shower right back into a squishy mage's glintstone-snorting face.
Really fun build. Wanting to optimize it a bit, you could throw carian slicer in for extra close range options to have strong damage and a great roll catch if you follow it up with piercer.
My dear blue flame… it is wonderful to see it again. Good weapon, good damage, comes from Dark Souls 2, and you could duel wield them and apply crystal magic weapon on both for MAGE SWAG and MEGA DAMAGE.
@@spacedoohicky It’s a sword dropped by a specific enemy in Dark Souls 2 quite often. It didn’t have a strong attack, instead casting sorcery while having a good int scaling(still keeping the light attack). It could also be buffed with elements and made a magic weapon. Good damage for a straight sword.
I’m surprised you didn’t mention this in the intro, considering you were doing it at 5:49, but the combo of Gravitational Missile and Collapsing Stars is so great. Cast Grav Missile first, and use it as a cover to cast Stars. Since they are the same color it makes it hard for people to see and react to, and will sometimes pull people into the Grav Missile if they are close enough.
We absolutely stan the Carian Sorcery Sword in this house! Weapon is great, so, so undervalued. The mixups are insane and absolutely rule. Here's another build idea for you: Carian Sorcery Sword in the main hand + Main-gauche in the off-hand. Set the main-gauche to have Parry as the ash of war. This lets you have poking R1s with the CSS, spell R2s with the RSS, powerstanced thrusting sword L1s using both, and dagger parry L2s. This build is fantastic and really, really fun to play around with. Also, the CSS has boosted critical chance, so it plays perfectly in this build. Give it a try.
did they ever actually give it sorcery scaling for its spells though? Like last time I used it, it did maybe 30% of the damage of a normal spell from one of the good catalysts
i use all the carian sword spells an the hammer myself when you turn a thrust weapon into a slash with magic. i been using this sword/staff for a few months anb was thinking this is so good why no one using it? it's so good. also pulling a magic bow out after a thrust hit when the player runs is so good. ps radigons talisman speeds up your magic attack spells by 1.5 sec faster to go off letting you true combo into a different spell. i call it spell chaining say carin slicer in to carin great sword into carian piercer all with in 3 sec by chaining them as you can switch the spell an when you cast agin it be the different spell. spell chaining. also magic tarra in to a great phalanx in to lurets bows makes it do 2k damage if they try to come close you can time it all to hit for a instant kill. yes they line up of your spells matter a lot in this set up. so much you can do with this weapon not to mention if they get hit with the magic you can use the ash of war to thrust in to them to role catch. you burn so much fp i recommend 40-50 mind as a must. it feels different an not so long range an boring as the other way magic is used. FYI: treat invasions as a dbz fighter you fight 1 on 1 this goes for if your a hunter as well usually hunters all ways get first dib's cause that's their job.
Aren’t the helm / chest pieces just part of the Liurnia knight (or whatever it’s called) set? Not to say that it doesn’t look cool, because it does. Just not exactly creative/unique.
@@hobojoe9717 Chest is Rellana, Helm is Cuckoo, shield is Carian, can't tell the gloves. Leggings look like bullgoar which is a bit out of place, but the chest bits hide it somewhat. But the main thing is having the shiny silver armor to match the shield, which takes up most of the viewing space.
@@Metaknight180 Ahhh right, it’s the Cuckoo set! Thanks lol. And the Rellana chest piece makes sense, it fits so well with the helm and shield! The legs and gloves are both from the fire prelate set actually.
Better to go max stamina +3 over great shields if you had to choose. Unless you have trouble recovering stamina or you are blocking so much compared to other actions it’s best to get more stamina.
If you mean the spear talisman, then it would be bad because only physical damage gets the counterattack bonus; so split damage weapons only get their physical damage boosted in counterattacks which isnt much for magic weapons. It also has no affect on any spell.
Imo consider how often you use the spells you might aswell just play a pure wizard at that point. The scaling is kinda shit compared to the best staves.
Hey bud, how the heck do you still use shield strike with a magic affinity.. if I try changing ashes it takes away the shield strike... Maybe I'm having a blonde moment here even though I'm bald and had black hair..😮

Having the name Gyatt bearer and doing butt slams was epic. Gyatt is new age slang refering to big butt in this case
Gyatt is pronounced like the “gj-“ in gjallarhorn. It’s supposed to mean a large ass, because when you see one you go “Gyatt damn!”

Love the Astro Bot music in the beginning lol. That game was an absolute blast!
Transition cards is awesome. So original
Oh my god the drip is 10/10

Situations like 7:11 are why I always have some form of long-range with me (usually a Hand Ballista but Jar Cannon if I can afford it)

Love this build Lost! May use it myself.
If your wife is editing your vids, tell her she is doing a great job! Love it sis!
…did you steal my drip?… I was running around with this for the last 7 months…
It not long enough, "I generally dont have that issue" 🤣🤣🤣
Love to see you using some magic! Have you fiddled with blades of stone as a mixup for your other gravity spells? It hits like a truck these days.
Barrier of Gold is essential to have with all of the damn mages during invasions.
21:42 lol
These new ending cards are cool.
great video
Really weak as a catalyst, especially when you get it.
I miss Blue Flame so much
In the last one Lost played too well
Just a thought You should probably start putting the mist spell on these types of builds it's good for anti ganks
Hey, that's me! I honestly figured you just forgot.

How can you have Shield strike + magic affinity? You cant just add affinity to an item without changing the ash of war

Rellana's chestplate looks so goddamn good with the Cuckoo helm. I like the Fire Prelate bits but Beast Champion bits also look damn nice. 🎉
