Nice Vid. I will be swapping my stator very soon as it died on me last fall and the replacement has been waiting on me having time. thanks for posting. looks very simple..
Using a new gasket under the cover is a better idea than a silicone type inventions. I had mine done without a gasket and after a track 20 minute session I had oil sprayed on my shoe. The pressure is too high. Better to do it the proper way. Video is good and informative.
I seem to have no luck at the grommet, did the job 3 times and still leaks. could it be that 4 quarts with larger filter is way too much? Never had any issues before i changed my stator. could I have PCV issue ?
@@luragg6008 I cleaned out the grommet real good and put the black RTV in it. once it dried after 24 hours I zip-tied it real tight. also filled it up with 3.5 quarts instead of the usual 4. it worked great. I actually sold the bike in February and now I have an 08 CBR1000RR. to be honest I kind of miss the tameness of the F4i, the 1000 takes some getting used to. I couldn't pass up the deal my brother gave me on the 1000RR especially with the mileage.
I have the same Honda, I change My stator and My Voltage Regulator but Tha cable when You start the bike are very hot if You touch it, people tell me that I have to put more cableground,?

This was Super helpful to me. I had a leak from the alternator wire on my 2006 CBR600f4i, and i had no idea what to expect. Great Video
I am about to do this to my F4i as well. Gotta find some torque wrenches from someone. I just purchased all the required items. Thanks for the video.
I ordered my stator and rectifier yesterday. I'll be doing this on my F4i as well, thanks for the video
@Blake VanDamage ALWAYS do both.
@Blake VanDamage do you have the parts already?
@Blake VanDamage bro I have both brand new with gasket neverused. I can give them to you for less. How's $240 sound?

Came from Honda factory with only silicone, guess you know better tan HRC 😂

Great video thank you for doing this. Very helpful!

Anyone know if the CBR 600rr and the f4i share the same stator cover???
There are two types off cbr600f 'x' + 'y' who can tell me if 'x' is the "ultima light"and if it is 99/00/01 mod Thanks from Greece
What were the torque specs for the cover itself? Or were there any?
I believe it was 9 ftlbs wasnt very much
