- Today, we're taking you on a journey to the remote corners of Upper Hunza in Northern Pakistan to the village of Ghulkin. Reached only by a brutally long journey on the Karakoram Highway, we stayed in the only homestay with our guide, Rehman, and his family. As we arrived at the start of winter, we could already see the challenges its residents face during the harshest of winter times.
Located between glaciers and 7000m mountains, Life in Ghulkin is a stark contrast to the comforts we often take for granted. But it's not just the landscapes that tell the story - we'll also talk to locals offering you a firsthand look at what life is like in this remote northern Pakistan village.
