Wrong information. It was Ukraine that did not renew the gas transmission contract. And this is nothing new from their side. They created such problems for decades when gas pipelines from Russia to the west ran through their territory, blackmailing all of Europe and Russia. So this was one of the reasons for the construction of an underwater gas pipeline that bypassed Ukraine.
