      I have a pea puffer (Darwin) in a heavily planted 5 gal fluval chi. By far the easiest puffer setup you could ever do. I feed my puffer by hand with frozen bloodworms and a pipet, and there is almost no maintenance at all because of the low bioload/high planted setup. Definitely recommend

    Cool seeing the varieties of puffers out there. Here in Perth Australia we hey a species that we call blowies & they are a nuisance bycatch when fishing brackish water. Weeping toadfish, Torquigener pleurogramma. 🤘

  • @erikm8372
    @erikm8372 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    That's good info Caitlyn gave on looking at the bellies of fish you're purchasing. I never thought to ask the LFS employees to select fish with "fuller" shaped bellies. Lumpy or uneven-looking could definitely indicate parasites, and flat is just as likely to be a loss of appetite from illness.

    thank you so much for this video! It was really well done and you could tell the people were knowledgeable. I've been doing a lot of research on puffers, namely pea puffers, and it took a while for me to differentiate info for them from info for other puffers. It was also a great tip on the way the bellies looked, I'll definitely keep an eye out for that when I go pick mine out!

He starts the tantrums and starts hit the glass like a pinball machine. The water parameters are good. The only two things I can think of is maybe he has parasite/infection or maybe he needs a bigger tank. Should I give another dose of your trip of meds again?

But I'm liking the red eye dwarf puffer now lol with it being a bit larger than pea puffers. Gotta couple other projects I gotta do first tho lol. Great video as always, your gonna make me getta Instagram account!!
