A brand new Celtic version of O Holy Night arranged and performed by Irish Classical Crossover group Affinití in aid of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
O Holy Night has been our favourite Christmas song for many years and we decided to compose our own celtic arrangement of it this Christmas to help raise awareness and funds for the wonderful work of the SVP. www.svp.ie

No one does it like this. It is so special. The way Emer crushes the high note towards the end is stunningly beautiful.
I have to differ with you. It's an adequate version, except the instruments are too loud. This would be a very, very nice arrangement and performance if we heard it in a church, but for a professionally recorded version I'd give it a "B"
This song always brings tears to my eyes. Especially when I think about how Christ gave everything for us and the horrible pain He suffered to save all who believe in Him. Praise His Holy name! Hallelujah! Christ is born!

Yes, from people we tend to get either truth, from those prone to that, or grace and mercy from those who are more prone to that. But I haven't experoenced people offering them both together in equal or correct proportions. Only in Jesus they are fully present, equally of correctly proportioned, at the same time, the way they are needed.
And that's Love, thats the Life, the Word that was in the beginning with God, and who was God. Love, Life - Jesus is full of truth and mercy. The Way of God.

Whenever 'fall on your knees' is sung, I get the most amazing feeling of wanting - needing - to worship someone Higher than me. Its a natural thing, like breathing . It is within us all, whether we want it or not, this need to physically fall on our knees before our Creator God. I feel such joy...like I am going to my real home....heaven, where I will join singing with the multitude of angels. All l is well with the world, because we have a real living Saviour. No matter the choir, the denomination, no matter the belief, we are singing combined praise. I believe in Jesus, and I worship Him. Thank you Lord for saving me

My favorite version of this hymn was Celtic Woman's rendition for their PBS Christmas Special and album during the mid-2000's. Like you, when the "Fall on your knees and hear the Angel's voices" line is sung, I break up, as I think their rendition of that line is probably as close as I will ever get to "hearing the Angels voices" this side of paradise!! Phenomenally beautiful!!

My mother in law told me to watch Harpo Marx playing one movie we were watching together. Actually she told me to shut my drunken mouth so she could watch him and I did and out of respect the harp gets me always. She was a very important part of my life and not only because of marrying her daughter 45 years ago. I loved that woman enough to have her living with us for the last 6 years of her life. Her legacy lives on in oh so many ways. The harp always brings her back to me. Thank you poster.
