Ships outfitted for exploration usually can jump much farther than combat ships, so I set my escape system to be one that's pretty far away. Even if yours isn't an exploration ship, pick one at max range, since your max range could still be farther than theirs.

Main thing is to High wake to a system, this prevents you from being mass locked it also prevents you from being pulled again if you just low wake. You would be surprised how many dont do this and just get pulled again.

1:25 I believe triangle in SC scanner means they have an FSDI not just that theyre in combat mode. Otherwise players with an interdictor would fly in discovery until in range of their target.
Also in high activity systems i would reccomend flying out of the system plane to begin with as it will make juking off any gankers easier before they manage to get on your 6

I just picked up a Python MkII. Cannibalized my Krait and FDL just to try it out. Flew to Shinrarta Deshra. Got interdicted. Surrendered to save my FSD from a long cooldown. Immediately boosted.. Flight assist off flipped 180, boosted towards the player, all while selecting a random star on the left panel, then high waked out. I did this 3 times before I just headed back to SOL and took a break.

Hopefully at reduced rebuy due to power play.
Some of my squadron mates are having a great time with power play pvp. I think it’s great for the game. I’d love to see the devs make the game open only … or score power play differently so players can’t impact BGS in solo

@@darthjazzhands4363 For sure, reduced rebuy costs should indeed encourage more Pvp within the system, though i worry about FD having the stones to make the game Open Only in regards to powerplay. One cursory look at the forums tells us that the majority of regular users on there will do everything they can to stop that becoming a reality. :/

Loved that, Video style reminds me of Isinona of old. All really good tips. #1 tip do not planic!
Couple of things I do which might help.
select the escale system on entry to the system as the video suggeasts. Fly towards the start and turn 180 when doing for max cudos, as the interdicter will need to go furthe rinto the sun and then turn. Plenty of time to plot the route.
Use the route plotter to plot the escape route. If you do this, you can then use the navigation pane to select the base, leaving the escape toute plotted. You do this as there is a key "Next tsarget on route" or similar named in targetting menu item that will select the plotted route. This is the quickest way I have found to select the escape route quickly.
Have chaff and heat sinks. Chaff is great againat new wave gimbled gankers, old school like tol line you up with a big weapon. For them ..
Flying towards the interdictor and boosting past forces them to 180 and increases distance. A lot of specialist interdictors areq quite fast so you need to be using turning as a way to increase distance for the final run towards the star. Note you do not need to line up until you are actually going to jump, better to be harder to hit in my mind, Do not forget even when lining up for the final run to keep spamming chaff and heat syncs. Cannot fire missiles if no lock on, and we need to stop tha big gun with potential jump disruption. Once lined uo anw awainting the countdown spiral to mkae fixed weaopns harder to use ( flight assist off rotate and then use a thruster to push out, for a sort of spiral, just do not fly straight and let them line up).
    Hope this helps.

Good video. Turning to face the opponent right after the interdiction ends and boosting to get behind them also helps, if you combine this with throwing a heatsink and starting the jump you'll buy enough time to spool the fsd nearly up.
Won't work as well on decent pvpers, but most gankers simply aren't.
There's also a hot key for throttling to 0 (=submitting to interdiction) , not sure if it's "x" on keyboard by default or if that's only in my game. But it's worth finding out, it's Useful in other situations as well, like when you're intending to use the discovery scanner a little quicker.

This was a great tutorial. If i jump in to an known ganker system i always plot a rout the opposite way before the last jump into the system. So when i enter the system i open Galaxy map and automaticly replot new rout. And the star does not block my jump either, because i plot it the opposite way.

Combat ships usually have 25-30 ly of jump range, depending on a ship (the more focused on combat, the less jump range it will have)
Unless the ganker has equipped a guardian FSD booster they'll rarely go much higher than that.

Assuming one is in constant vigilence of their three, six and nine oclock. There is alway's the possibitlity of being intracicted. Should it happen, without any hesitation throttle to zero, and rather than fight and possibly loose the interdiction interaction that pop's up. Hard as it may be, stay on your course. When the interdiction process is over, you will to the most part, be facing your original vector. Because it take the interdictor slightly longer to cool down, assuming you throttled back to zero immediately and didnt bother trying to win the process. You'll end up to a degree stil on course to your destination and not the 180 degree's you will alway's be regardless of you winning or loosing the interdiction process. Thus not haveing to waste time turning 180 degree's back. Boost, boost boost, and get back into super cruise. All while going the direction you intended to go prior to.
Sure, there's a chance they will attempt it again. But because you didn't fight the interdiction any and all of your boosting and regardless of how much you gained going to your destination. You'll be closer the next and the next should being interdicted again and again. Rather than considerably more distant's and 180 degree in the opposite direction.
Though there was a time when in solo, I was interdicted 11 time's by NPC's and though winning each time, I ended up past the position I had originally left, when going from one station to another in the same system. For year's I was thought to have lied about it, until another cmdr. in the same system going from the same station to the same station reported being interdicted nine time's.
Thus not fighting the interdiction and fighting to stay the course you were on. Allow's you to gain distance not loose distance. When assuming without hesitation you zeroed your speed, your cool down is less than that of the interdictor. And becuase you've lost no distance where as they have. Though depending on how far away you may be interdicted again, once they are able to turn, and catch up. You'll be closer, if they interdict you again, repeat, repeat and eventually you'll fall out of super and into your destination. Though NPC's have the ability to somehow manage to follow you on occassion into the instance and they will keep firing. Staay the course boost again if needed and get as close to the staion while asking for landing right's as you can. Eventually where as NPC's are not the brightest will keep shooting, and hit the station. The station will fire back. Human's haveing human logic not digital logic, can on occasion also follow you into the instance, if and when they are close enough just as NPC's. But having human logic, not fire, only if possible ram you.
I realize that FDEV has installed the fight the interdiction instance and if when either you win or loose, you will "ALWAY"S loose distance in the process and be on a course 180 degree's different than you original heading. In which even if you win, your interdictor is still there, but because their cool down is longer than your's, but you have to do a 180. Will cool down sufficently as to allow them to fire upon you. So don't use the escape interdiction process, fight to stay on you vector wthout any forward speed. You'll cool down faster, and not loose any distance in addition not be turned the wrong way. Work's with both NPC's and Human's.
Having an engineered interdictor allow's Human's who have it, to interdict you any where from generally your four to six to eight oclock. Which can be over, under or to either side of you. And should you have set up the config that would allow you to, if having a preploted destination, after cooling down, enter super and jump to it. The ganker, can assumiing they know how and have the experience, follow you to the next pre plotted system. Thus though it's a great idea, not so much when a human interdict's you vs an NPC. Hard as it may be, alway's stay the course your on. Alway's be aware of what's in front of you and "NEVER EVER" trust to the N-th degree, any thng on your three to nine. Who may or may not have you next up on their to do list.

Going into any encounter, you don’t know what an enemy will use. The best you can do is outfit countermeasures for as many possibilities as your ship will allow. Chaff, ECM, and point defense can be placed on the same fire group. I’m told the new type 8 is very difficult to interdict so my usual advice to submit may be invalid for that ship. The thing to do is experiment and practice constantly so you are prepared when a player singles you out

Meh, this is so fake.. You aint running anywhere with 280m/s ship. At 10 second mark real ship in real scenario would be destroyed immediately. And the guy would never miss such a slow target with ramming. Python 2 can finish this show of yours in 1 quad doubleshot pacifier stream. The first and biggest mistake is the ship choice - Dimondback Explorer is a well known snack designed to be eaten and nothing else. The best salt was mined from DBE pilots returning home from exploration. Ask them about it. Decent players eat those in one swift swoof, the one you got in a video is either an actor or a very rarely seen nowdays newborn pvper. If anyone would had fsd disruptor, you'd be cooked. And those are quite popular to use.
General advice - do not attempt to play in open without engineering your ship first in solo, unless you're really asking for trouble. Trust me, all those open only wariors did the very same to prepare their ship for adventures in the open, so you are not in the wrong by doing that. The only moment when it wasn't the case, is when there was no one in the open. A lucky moment of solitude we all need at times.

@@darthjazzhands4363 Also, your video only focuses on the "surviving" part. When real goal of any player is to reach their destination. And there are a lot of tricks to achieve this goal without even getting interdiction especially with SCO drive. That would be more useful to talk about. Cause surviving by high waking to another system should be the last resort because by doing that you essentially giving up on your real goal to reach place where you need be. Doing that once is ok, doing that twice is not ok, doing that 3 times is extremely frustrating.
