This game is like if you played Legend Of Zelda back before the internet was the main source of getting information on your game, combined with the fact your Players Guide got all scrambled because your pet thought it was a chew toy or some other reason, and I mean that in the best way possible.
I started this game thinking I was going to go on a cute Zelda-like adventure with a modern look. I ended this game with a small notebook LITERALLY half-filled with notes on theories, hypothesis, self-made guides on how to potentially solve the puzzles. This game was the wildest journey ever.
I went in expecting some Legend of Zelda-esque orchestral and epic music, so initially I was mildly put off by the sound track. From a purely sound perspective, it's fantastic and I loved it, but the mood didn't seem to fit the game. Then as time went on and more of the mysterious and mystical stuff came up in the game it really grew on me. Now, having only played the game for the first time and beating it twice just a couple of weeks ago, it's somehow borderline nostalgic and I love it.

This game is all about it, you gain knowledge about everything that seems simple or something you dont understand and you figure out later that you could do something from the beginning, but obviously you didnt know. And that makes this game even more beautiful and thats why even this music makes more sense. At least to me. So its actualy fitting, you just gotta figure it out😛
This and Redwood Colonnade instantly bring back the magic for me, even a year later. No other game made me feel like this, and the fact that I can bring that feeling back at any time is truly magical. I will always cherish the hours I spent listening to this song and starting at those pages...
I played this with my girlfriend at the time through the summer evenings. Coming up with theories, drawing all sorts of things in a notebook. The soundtrack makes me geel incredibly nostalgic for that time.
mesmerizing - an incredible overworld track, it's chill, it's exciting, it's wistful, it's curious. this game was awesome and the soundtrack is right there all the way
I don't know how you make an overworld theme this good.. but I'm glad I was alive to hear it and how much it bombards you with the most chill sense of wonder I've heard.
Listening to the soundtrack after 100%ing the game is really hitting me in the feels, like I didn't believe it was actually over until now. I doubt there will ever be a game that hooked me exactly like Tunic did, with it's world and secrets spanning across the game, it's manual, and it's music. It truly felt like a game where the focus was on the journey of the player, not the player character, and I will never forget that.

I just started playing the game some months ago... Hearing this in the very first part of the map made me feel so deep in the game... I don't know how to explain it. Like I'm in an epic, magical adventure... but in a calm dream, too. So beautiful
Soothing, so gentle, the ending is this heavenly climax that just lifts my heart! I imagine a feather floating into the summer sun, ascending higher and higher into the sky until finally it just disappears in a gentle sigh!
A lot of nuance in the music you just don't pick up on in game. It's brilliant all the layers and textures that build and shape the music to tell its own story. I wonder how much of the music is inspired by the game itself, or if maybe Tunic took some creative cues from samples of earlier versions? I'm always intrigued by the process of creating music tailored to the game it's in.
I think this is the most representative theme of the game. Around 3 months I finished it and I'm still playing this theme and the one from The Librarian boss. I saw a video speaking about the hidden language on the sounds in the game and only for that I would say this is one of the best games ever made. But it's not only that, it's everything from the beginning until the end. Masterpiece.

Honestly, I feel like giving the Fox no personality was a clever move. He's not really *supposed* to be a character in a game; he's you! He's a representation of you, the player! In this way, he's like Doomguy from the first couple DOOM games.

i never thought a game would make me feel like playing games pre-internet did again and this one certainly blindsided me in the sweetest way.
Sounds like the PS2/GameCube era of instruments, in a way. The piano and synths were really prominent in the BIOS screens iirc.
