I used to have a Schick Injector in the 1970-80's, before I was converted to the Dark Side and started electric shaving (spit...spit) but I'm happy to say I saw the light and returned to wet shaving....and eventually to DE shaving...Never going back.
Wow!! I Googled 1930 cars to see what they were driving after using this razor, its Amazing.

Hi Paul, finally the injector blades arrived yesterday which allowed me to use my 1930s Schick Type E2 Injector for the first time. Yours is the Type E4 without the side flaps 4:32, at the sides of the rivet spring.
WOW!! was not expecting such fabulous results from an 85 yr old £20 shaving design compared to its modern 21st century equivalent; The £300 Oneblade Genesis. The single tiny spot of blood under the nose was due to beginner's learning curve technique rather than the razor design.
BBS results were identical, albeit the Oneblade is much smoother. On the strength of the results, I placed an order for 120 blades Taconic (believe these are rebranded Personna), injector blades.
Have introduced my 35 yr old son to DE Blade shaving and with the help of your videos, he's learning.

I picked up a 1958 boxed with original blades for £21 from eBay. also have NOS schick twin injector blades which are head and shoulders better than any of the modern blades I've tried. stunning shave.

Hello Paul. Another good video and interestingly, my lovely wife liked that Schick injector razor so much that she told me that I should get one which is unusual as she thinks I have too much shaving gear! So, I just ordered a 1940s Schick injector razor with the Bakelite handle that has been revamped. I'm looking forward to some great shaves with it.

nice one Paul. I found a modern shave cream from Nivea last weekend that I could recommend and it looks to lather a lot like the Dove shave cream. I guess I'm just glad that we've not both used the same shave soap/cream again, lol.

Yes, lovely flowers, and a lovely razor. There was a grocery store in my area that still sold the Shick Injector blades. I'm not sure if they still do. In any case, I had no razor to fit them.

"Do you want to meet her" Benny Hill probably snickered on that one Paul. lol Had two or three injector razors back in the 70`s....wish I still had them. On a side note, those razors I sent probably haven`t shown up yet but when they do be very careful, they are quite aggressive. Take care.

Nice shaving Paul, I'll need to get into some vintage razors, that looks excellent.
I prefer a wetter lather like you have in this video, I sometimes try a thicker pastier lather but I think it adds resistance when dragging the razor across the face.
This Dove shave cream is pretty nice, I use it when in a rush, you should check Amazon as they sell the higher end Dove Expert Shave cream in a bowl, it used to be £20+ but you can find it under £5 now.
Cheers for another great vid. Love my 830, thinking of picking up a 620. I much prefer Boars to Badger. I think I can pick some of that Alpa up at the L7 market in Liverpool, they sell quite a few nice Turkish shaving products. I actually need to pop in to get some more Duru limon a/s. It is amazing stuff in the summer.

If the loop under the razor doesn't have side panels, it can be moved to the left for easier cleaning. I was surprised they didn't continue that feature. The I model has a lever underneath to loosen the razor for cleaning. I was issued an L model in Boot Camp in 1968, which I still have.

I have a couple of these razors.
I’m going to try one today with an old but unused blade.
I cleaned the handles at the kitchen sink with an old toothbrush and Dawn detergent.
I found the head is hinged. The part, on the bottom side that has a rivet through it acts as a spring, can be moved to the side and the head opens for access to the inside for cleaning.
After I shave I’ll report back.

I've always loved Dove hand soap . Quality superb. Very pleasand scent, good lathering. And now I understand how luxurious this Dove shaving cream is. This is very cushing lather. Creamy and light.) This razor really liked my mother. She says that she looks regal. Also like a flower very much. What flower is this? I have in the bins lying idle Mach3.)) I would gladly changed it to the razor. Back to the Future.

The blades can be expensive, but it depends were you get them, and if you can get them....aggression is less than the DE89...in my opinion........Paul.

Hey Paul looking to get my first injector. One question I had was is there a way to remove the blade between shaves to let everything dry well and then reinsert for the next shave without the aid of the injector.
My fear is with the blade always in until the you switch out the blade water can get trapped in tight areas and may cause corroding on the blade as well as the razor.
Is there any insight you could provide on this.

Great idea mid country. I reckoned that if it was London Tobs or Truefitt and Hill visits, it would be massively expensive for accomodation etc.
If there is anything i can do to help you then let me know. I dont know if there is a shop that people can visit near Leeds to meet up ? but either way i would attend any event organised where i can. Even if i couldnt attend due to work commitments it would be great for us in the UK to have a meet up like America does and give the guys over there an incline what we look and sound like given that we all watch their videos.

If you are familiar with the "TheOneBlade" razor...In my opinion the design of the head is directly influenced by the Vintage Schick Injector and as good(or bad) as that modern "innovation" of that razor might be-I do not think it surpasses the quality of the shave of the Original.

Always fun to watch your videos Paul! I own two of those Schick Eversharps, Type G, 1946-55. The angle is a bit different from a double edge. There is date and type info at "safetyrazors.net/schick/schicktech.htm", for those interested.

whats the different between aggressive razor and mild razor?
The blade is more exposed on aggressive and less exposed on a mild razor.
How many shaves do you get out of thpse blades?

Hello Paul. I was hoping you would be able to help me date my Schick razor. I just picked it up and it has the Bakelite handle. Kinda similar to yours. It has two patent numbers listed on the razor and I went to the schick website but has some difficulty trying to date it. The two codes are 1806087 and 1969945. I see those numbers are multiple different types on the schick website. And help would be be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Here's another joke on the level of your "Do you wanna meter" joke. In the USA, people who work behind the window in the bank are called "bank tellers". I think the UK may use the same title or the term "bank cashier". Anyway, the joke is that one guy who wants his life to remain private tells his friend he would never date a girl who works in a bank. His friend asks, "Why"? The answer? "Because, she's a TELLER", said the guy who enjoys his privacy.
I've got to find a single edge, if just for shaving under the nose after each shave. I'm one of those guys that have hair growing right up to the opening of the nostrils, and the only thing that completely cuts them (other than sometimes a brand new Polsilver SI DE blade) is the single edge side of the Gillette Fusion cartridge razor.
