You killin' me.....I'm so hungry after 2 of these videos....LOL I love camp cooking....just adds to the overall experience of the woods for me. Great video....!!
My husband could never make an omelette. They always turned out like scrambled eggs with stuff in them. We just called them scromelettes. Enjoying the videos, as always.
SOS . Whether you use hamburger, sausage , bacon or cook and cube a breakfast ham , which is my favorite. Making my flour gravy . And baking scratch biscuits in a dutch oven. A wonderful meal at any time of the day. Along with a nice hot cup of coffee. Sit back , take in the beauty and tranquility of the outdoors and enjoy life.
Hey Matt! Great video! this stuff is yum! Try this, make this, by your recipe, adding in a cooked, crumbled sausage patty, place on a large burrito shell sprinkle on some shredded cheese, add in a little Tiger Sauce and Miracle Whip mixed together, roll it up and bang! Zoom! Away we go!
Awesome! Never thought of that cooking method, will need to try that as I typically shy away from eggs simply due to the clean up hassles. Me personally, I would have used jalapenos and tomatoes, but hey, it's all tasty!
Great idea. You had the skillet and that only means one thing…Bacon. Chef Kelly has great recipes with bacon. Phenomenal double boiler idea! Thank you for sharing, Black Hat! TVB…Bill
I loved the way you cooked the eggs. I sent you a copy of my favorite recipe! I hope you use it! I love LOVE love your Pathfinder kitchen gear! THANK YOU for the opportunity to win 😃
I like the double boiler system. That accomplishes so many things all at once. I'm really looking forward to seeing where you take this series. You could use dehydrated mushrooms instead of bringing a glass jar into the field. I always seem to break any glass I bring into the field.
Yeah, I like seeing some different cooking methods with this and hopefully other cooking gear from SRO. BTW, you can use the egg shell half to scoop out the little bits of shell that get in the eggs. They come out easier. Take care!
Awesome video, awesome idea for a series! I have a ton of recipes for cooking at camp. My only problem is I haven't gotten alot of Pathfinder cookware. Not because I don't like, or don't want them. It's a few reasons..#1 is I am physically not 100% in which leads to #2... I am also financially challenged because of my physical disability. However, I do have the bedroll cookset, and the Pathfinder Skillet which I use for just about everything! It's absolutely perfect! With that said, I know that Dave likes quality gear as bombproof as he can get. I've tried to get a few different cooksets over the years but either when I have money, they are out of stock and when you have stock back in .I'm broke! But I'd love the woodsman kit, any of the kits that "Pathfinder" make are what I need and want! From the tins to full cooksets, they all are amazing! I truly hope that y'all like my recipes! I need some cookware fo4 you
This might be decent in an emergency situation or for a day hike...but that's only enough food to piss my stomach off. In my camping gear this would be my tea maker lol. I have to have a decent skillet on my steel flat pack rocket stove for food.
Sounds really good , always looking for recipes I can try. I'm going to try it the freezer bag way. Dehydrate the veggies and use some dehydrated OvaEasy Egg Crystals.
Looked great except I'm allergic to the whites of eggs. But I have been looking at getting a new canteen and have seen them with the two pots and was wondering how to really use them. Thank you.
Man I love the new series! Kielbasa and peppers is always a go to for my camp fire lol. Hey, just a thought, it would be cool to see the different pathfinder knifes featured from episode to episode. A good outdoor cooking show needs a good knife!🤪
Is it going to be best in the long run to save up and get the titanium vs the stainless steel? Definitely getting one or the other just wondering the pros and cons
Add two more uncracked eggs into the boiling water. Now you have pre-made lunch (even unrefrigerated, the eggs will keep for about half a day or more) or a trail snack using the same fuel and can still use the water for coffee or tea or whatever.
I would trade out the mushrooms for open fire cooked and crumbled bacon, with yellow shredded cheese on top. Probably would have doubled the onions too.
Just subbed to the channel after watching your Thanksgiving in the woods video. So far I'm liking the content. Just one question, what instant coffee did you use in your double boil video? I'm looking to find a better instant coffee for when I'm on the go.
Looks good, but the cutting board is too small in diameter. The butter would be oil after outdoor temperature hits it a couple hours. I'd be topping it with cheese though.
I’ve always loved a cooking series by Dave or others. But i want to be respectfully critical about a few items that may help with other videos. I wish these videos would show how you stow the left over pepper and onion or any other left over items in the recipe that could be used for another meal on the trail or camp. Showing that process would be insightful. Then what do you with any waste such as the jar or jar lid or anything other than food waste? I know that is silly but it’s kinda cool to know how the guys with or associated with Self Reliance Outfitters do it.
Double boiler, that’s brilliant for cooking on a rocket stove! Thank you!
SRO does it again!!!! You guys are the best!!!
You killin' me.....I'm so hungry after 2 of these videos....LOL I love camp cooking....just adds to the overall experience of the woods for me. Great video....!!
Good-looking grub, Matt. Thanks for sharing.
I really like the idea of this series.
thank you
Self reliance always has high quality gear
I like the method, clever. Thanks for sharing. I will continue following the series.
Absolutely great stuff...just got started
Yay yo, Green Giant. 💚
Grat video Matt. Thanks for sharing. Now I have an excuse to buy one of those sets......lol. like I need more Pathfinder cookware.
Sent here by Dave Canterbury. I already know I’m going to live this channel!
Great cook kit combination! The double boiler system is a great advantage out in the field.
Nice!! Great kick off to the series
Great idea with the double boiler!
My husband could never make an omelette. They always turned out like scrambled eggs with stuff in them. We just called them scromelettes. Enjoying the videos, as always.
Good tips , thanks for sharing , God bless !
Nice job, Matt. Getting awful hungry though.
Good video ready for the next
Outstanding
Great video, 😊 Thanks 👌🤠👍
Great to see thank you for the video shared and thumbs up.
Nice Job Matt, Coffee and eggs at the same time. PERFECT

I am definitely looking forward to more episodes of this series
Thnxs 4 sharing 🇺🇸
Thanks Matt
This is great Matt! Looking forward to more videos in this series!
Excellent video. A recipe is on its way.
Sweet gear. Nice recipe. Great video. Thanks!
🍳 Awesome job, Brother!!! 🍳
Great video. Looks DELISH!! Looking forward to seeing more in this series. 👍🏼
Pretty cool keep this series going.
Great start, I never would have tried a Double Boiler. Looking forward for more.
Thanks Mat and all at pathfinders, you guys are grate instructors and by the way that did look very good .
Cool stuff. Love to watch the cooking. Hope to see more videos soon. Great job.
Yummy 😋 good job
I like your Thanksgiving meal

I think this setup is a great idea, I'd really like to see this in a bottle/cup format as well
Awesome! Never thought of that cooking method, will need to try that as I typically shy away from eggs simply due to the clean up hassles. Me personally, I would have used jalapenos and tomatoes, but hey, it's all tasty!
I would like to see more of this👍
Great video Matt. I'll be sure to send a recipe that I like. I'm looking forward to your next video.
Kopiko happens to be my father's favorite instant coffee as well. Now I know I can trust your taste.
Excellent video. I'm looking forward to this series.
Great idea. You had the skillet and that only means one thing…Bacon. Chef Kelly has great recipes with bacon. Phenomenal double boiler idea! Thank you for sharing, Black Hat! TVB…Bill
Outstanding technique Master Matt! Same technique can be used with the SRO Ti 1100 ml bushpot and small fry pan on top. Best way to cook eggs.
Can't wait for the next one 🤠
👍👍
Gonna watch later, but so far the king of badass cookin is the corporal. Then again, eggs are the ultimate camp food. I'll find out later. Keep safe.
Corporal would say : " Don't forget the Bacon!".
Wow kopiko I drink that here in the Philippines that is locally made here that exact kopiko is what I drink before work
Excellent way to make your eggs, titanium is lightweight, but need some more attention to cook food. Frying is to keep stirring your food.
I loved the way you cooked the eggs. I sent you a copy of my favorite recipe! I hope you use it! I love LOVE love your Pathfinder kitchen gear! THANK YOU for the opportunity to win 😃
Good stuff, man!!. I apreciate that.
Great meal and video, Matt! I love the double boiler idea.
Thumbs up!
Clark
Thats Living! Good stuff brother.
Solid video. Great content for the. Excellent period of instruction
good stuff

if you raise it up away from the burner a little you can get lower temps ! I love it when youtubers burn the eggs bad and then say yum !
Looks tasty
Just found this series from your channel, love it. I would love to see a section devoted to the backpackers pantry.
nice new series. teach you how to use cookware for the outdoors.
I just got myself the old one 🤣😂 silly me
Yeah, I like seeing some different cooking methods with this and hopefully other cooking gear from SRO. BTW, you can use the egg shell half to scoop out the little bits of shell that get in the eggs. They come out easier. Take care!
Very few people know that about the eggshell.

Thanks Matt, since the titanium doesn't have a Teflon coating, I'm guessing using metal utensils isn't a problem~

Nice job.. You never have more onion than you need ;)
Never thought of doing a double boil for eggs before
Sounds really good , always looking for recipes I can try. I'm going to try it the freezer bag way. Dehydrate the veggies and use some dehydrated OvaEasy Egg Crystals.
Would love to have a cylindrical system. Just got a set of Toaks cups for hiking.
Genius idea with the double boiler my friend and that looked delicious!! Can't wait for the next episode brother 👍
If you use 2 to 4 heavy duty paper clips on the big container to hold the lid in place you can use it as an oven.
That's good common sense right there.
Looks great! But, it needs some 🌶 sauce, tho...
Make sure you used to the grease author sausage
This a cool series ! I've got some good advice and ideas from this.. getting the gear ya use is a little tricky it goes out fast
Looked great except I'm allergic to the whites of eggs. But I have been looking at getting a new canteen and have seen them with the two pots and was wondering how to really use them. Thank you.

Almost like a fritata.
Lol, not quite an omlete. We called that "inda eggs" growing up; as in its in the eggs. Still call it that to this day
Bhb, what are your thoughts on the bcb adventure crusader cook set?
If would been me I would added some Summer Sausage or do what Corporal Corner would do add some Bacon.
I would trade out the mushrooms for open fire cooked and crumbled bacon, with yellow shredded cheese on top. Probably would have doubled the onions too.

Does the titanium spork scratch the cookware? (I don't know, hence the question). And if it does, does that even matter?
That coffee cup??? Where do I get one?

Helikon tex essential pouch
Can u cook adobo w
Using your titani canteen set?
I wish there was two lids with that canteen set...
Just what I need - another advertisement.
Good video ... But the pots were very unstable on top of that little pocket stove ! Thanks Guys!
I have a recipe I want to give you but it's been in my best soup and Italian in this world a used to make it all time
Some Italian seasoning
