Same here, We are currently "stuck" in New Zealand but looking at returning home in the middle of May, We so wish we could stay here and get to experience more of it. So we will be getting to "travel" sooner than a lot of people but its just to return home, so not quite as exciting as it could be.
Wow love the van life!! It's so underrated, I learned a lot of things when I did it for a couple of years! Truly beautiful and learned so much about myself and the universe🌸🌱😊
@@HartandCol Yes a few years it definitely had its ups and downs and it was hell in the hot weather but it changed my life for the better. The small space is really hard especially for kids but as long as they're outside all day like in nature or parks & staying busy it will work out! 😊
What an amazing video!!! Watching makes it us realize that it is possible to travel with two kids in a Van!!! Thanks for sharing...we are have are second child in a few months...and we would it we can travel in a van with the kids.. You guys gave us some really good tips!!
Thanks, was fun being in the van, but would be tough full time with how small it was. Also the Westy is about as small as it goes, we spent some time in a van in New Zealand that was bigger and was sooooo much nicer. (working on that vid now)
It was pretty late, and we were not sure where else to park, so a bit of lack of planning on our part, but with the kids it got to a point where we had found a spot and just needed to use it/deal with the wind.
Such an OG van!!! 😍 I love what you said about how the van kind of “forces” you to be outside instead of curling up in your hotel room. I think that’s what I’m most excited about for my transition into a more simple life! Thanks for the video.
WOW! Beautiful footage of Maui, it's a really great island (aside from the wind, which is pretty normal, depending on the time of the year)! I am assuming this was pre-Feb/March 2020?
Thanks so much, Yes we were there in mid February, and then went on to New Zealand from there. Of which we have actually been stuck in for the last 6 weeks. It's been an interesting experience to say the least.
We would love to, Hopefully it gets better sooner than later. We loved the feel of Maui and how friendly everyone was. We spent some time at Waikiki Beach after this. We had fun, but we much prefer the smaller/off the beaten path places.
Beautiful family !!!!! 😍😍😍😊😊😊
It’s Hawaii where Aloha is not just a greeting. Maui is my 2nd home, if we have it, we share it.
awesome information, would you say rent a car and tent over the camper van?
Hey how did you find the places to park overnight?
GREAT JOB! very well done! One day we will make the journey to Maui. Thanks for sharing your journey. Stay safe and happy travels.
Thanks, was a fun time, defiantly dreaming of it given the current state of things.
@@HartandCol No kidding! Seems like things are slowly opening so, hopefully soon. I know we are SO ready to explore again.

A few years? dang thats impressive, we really enjoyed it, but with the two boys, doing van life in such a small space i could see being a challenge.

Looks like you had a great time despite the challenges. Good tips. ~Lucy
Overall was a great time, and would do it again in a heartbeat, even with some of the challenges

That wind is something else! Although the Westy doesn’t provide much room, I bet that view just can’t be beat! Subbed to your channel for more!
The wind was some of the strongest sustained wind I had ever been in, glad it did not blow the van over:) thanks so much!
so beautifull Maui hawai cool vlog Family van life my friend
Why didn't you go to a different part of the island when the wind was bad?
It was pretty late, and we were not sure where else to park, so a bit of lack of planning on our part, but with the kids it got to a point where we had found a spot and just needed to use it/deal with the wind.
