Tbf he was able to beat the shit out of kotal kahn after he was given blood magic he also beat and tamed onaga alone, and shao even mentions it in an intro dialog. He also beat Jax in a one on one fight with ease, and I'm like 90% sure Jax is far stronger than Kung Lao, not to mention he has like no real experience in this timeline. Reiko is even strong enough to wield shaos hammer with ease, so no Reiko actually stomps 90% of earthrealm
Honestly, Reiko should get combat since he’s been fighting since a boy. I also think if Kenshi wins it should be extreme, with that crazy feat Rain had of wiping out that entire city. Otherwise, great edit, looks like Kenshi’s sticking up the middle finger to rain aswell, lol.

Li Mei and Johnny could honestly go either way in my eyes. Johnny tends to catch W’s in the beginning and then struggle later on and Li Mei is basically Jade and Kitana in MK 9. The entire time they are helping the bad guys they lose but the second they become good they start redeeming themselves. King Lao beats Reiko easy. Reiko hasn’t won a single fight in MK 1 Kenshi already beat Rain. And poor Rain is a jobber sooo Raiden already beat Shao. Also Shao was done dirty with the jobber treatment

Reiko tamed onaga the dragon king, Kung lao needed Raiden and Lord Liu Kang to defeat a young shujinko. And Shao Kahn never said he himself tamed onaga which means it was Reiko 💀

We would have to wait and see in the next MK game or if they mention it in canon material. You can’t really take interactions the same way one would view the canon MK endings cause interactions aren’t always canon to the story like how in MK 11 they mention finding Quan-Chi when Quan-Chi is dead.
