I've been to jail, but I thank God I haven't had to go to prison. I'm doing my best to keep it that way. After 2 1/2yrs of battling a meth addiction, today I have 111 days clean and sober. One day at a time. Thanks for sharing your life with all of us.

My Aunt went to prison for a year I believe for embezzlement. I got letters from her and it was intense. Her experience didn't seem too harsh but I certainly have no desire to go to either jail or prison. Terrified of either in fact lol

Hey D, I'm a pro vein popper. I can tell you that once the blood leaves the body the virus can't live much longer. The HIV virus needs a specific temp,ect. to stay live. That doesn't mean you shouldn't be careful. A lot of people don't know but hepititus, once it leaves your body, that shit can dry up and weeks later it's still active. The inmate that cleaned the blood up volunteered for that job. He gets paid his 40 hours or whatever a week even if there's nothing to clean. Most weeks he gets paid to sit in his own cell and watch tv. He also goes to a class to teach him how to deal with bio hazards so he's not going in blind or anything. Usually there's just one or two people per prison that do this.

Back problems are horrible. Had my back go out a few years ago, it was so painful I could feel it from my lower back to the bottom of my heals. Had to break out the heating pad, I was layed up for a day. Good video Bro, stay classy.

I would never want to be a CO though. They don’t get paid enough as it is. I would rather just go to college and get a STEM degree and then make three times that amount of a CO and chill during work.

My girl busted out laughing at me when my back went out. Had to call an ambulance because I couldn't get up off the ground it was so bad.
Used to take care very good care of my ex girlfriend whenever she got sick or sad. At the end of 3 weeks of her at my house for Covid testing quarantine, my L4 went for the 2nd time in my life. She "took care" of me for 1 day...1 freaking day before she started telling me I was an old man, a bitch, and just whining because I couldn't get out of my recliner to do ANYTHING but use the restroom and get food....Anyway, I dumped her insensitive ass 3 weeks ago. Women don't care about men's needs or feelings. It's sad........Shut up, work harder, provide, provide, provide!!!!!!
2001, I get a letter from my girl (at the time) six weeks before my release. In the letter she told me she tried ‘crack’ the previous night.
No more letters came.
December 22nd 2001 I get out at 1030am.
Go home and walk into my brand new crack den. By 1430 I’m in cuffs on a kidnap/ torture charge on the only guy in my house NOT on crack. (Dealer).
Straight back to prison the very next morning.
2x section 18 charges and breach of my licence conditions.
Feb10th 2005 I get out again. No contact throughout sentence.
She died. 30th September 2004

Andrew Fong it's crazy if you think about how they caught him. The case had gotten frozen, it wasn't a cold case anymore. I believe his niece or someone in his family used the 23&me and that's how the DNA tied him to the killings. People who do that are fucking stupid, just giving the government your DNA, don't be surprised when you see a clone of yourself down the road.

Yes, TB is spread via air droplets when an infected person coughs. It's a bacteria that lives in the lung tissue. Actually when a regular person tests positive in a hospital, that information is sent out and if they are noncompliant with treatment, they are sent to psych prisons for the course of the treatment because TB is so highly contagious and deadly.
As far as HEP C, that's a liver disease that is transferred via... blood. TATTOOS and DIRTY NEEDLES. So those who are giving tattoos and getting tattoos in prison are probably walking away with a lot more than just a tattoo. They're the proud new owners of bloodborn pathogens that are insanely expensive to treat (I would almost put money on it that the prison system won't treat Hep C because of the cost) and requires aggressive treatment at that. They offer free testing at methadone clinics because obviously IV drug users are at the top of the list for the at-risk population.

I don't care how strong you are sciatica is the WORST pain you will ever experience. This is coming from someone who gave birth natural! Gallbladder is a close second. That sciatic nerve wraps completely around your lower back, wraps around your groin and legs down to your toes! I'd rather have a mouthful of abscessed teeth than to ever feel sciatic pain again! It paralyzes you with pain!

Big Demz no.. not usually.. it also depends on the prison. In jail, they usually don’t separate them though.. perhaps some prisons though

Even hospitals don’t have a separate unit or room for HIV patients unless they have full blown AIDS, opportunist infections that are highly contagious, TB, pneumonia, or they are immunocompromised and they are actually protecting the patient from diseases since their immune system is so low and weak. They just proper hygiene and infection control methods. Besides, what so called medical or infection control professionals are gonna want to come into a prison to clean? Surrounded by criminals and dangerous inmates. I agree that the inmates shouldn’t be the ones cleaning it, but who are they gonna find willing to do it?

I’ve had to clean a cell after an attempted suicide. It was the craziest experience of my life. Besides the black blood everywhere, pouring out a trash can of blood is an unforgettable memory.

@mikaya moorleghen Until about two years ago, SC did. However inmates filled lawsuits on the basis of civil rights, and infringement upon protected classes. No longer seperated to specific institutions or units. This will vary state to state.
