I love the way Bebey has the eyes to see the way the Pygmies have a conversation with their flute. This is not an obvious conclusion to draw, and needless to say one which people who dismiss the Pygmies as savages would never make.
I had the feeling that the Pygmies themselves probably think about the instrument this way, and perhaps he is speaking about it the way he was taught to play it.

Funny thing is, this was filmed just outside Bath in the UK, and the railway line there is not electrified, so the trains on that line are diesels. I can actually identify the train from the sound it makes, an InterCity 125.
