A topic not luggage related, but one that I see very seldomly addressed..... how to have and show respect for the countries you travel to. The westerners who only want to go somewhere and lay on a beach or board cruise barges usually don't challenge themselves by going to the less popular travel countries. But the world travelers like myself, we should be very aware of how the people live where we travel. Most of the planet doesn't know the word "vacation". They work every day to live and provide for their families. Westerners showing up, staying in all-inclusives, flashing cash and jewelry, this is horribly demeaning. Just something I personally address often.🤷♀️
Love this video! I already assign outfits per day, but should do the try on thing 😊 I would love more in depth on shoes! 💕 Lol I usually bring 3, or 4. Always a pair of supportive house slippers because I hate walking around barefoot 🥺 But my others are usually black skechers go walks, my black waterproof ugg boots, and the occasional 4th pair are slip on Toms with cushioned inserts OR Columbia hiking shoes (if it's that kind if trip). I really just want to find cute but comfy cushioned waterproof shoes that look nice enough to wear anywhere but comfortable enough to walk around a new city all day for a week lol, I don't know why this is so hard for me
I am headed out on a 14 day trip that has Mini - vaca, remote work (non office), then disney, then in office work over the duration. The weather range is 54 - 98 degrees. Having trouble creating a capsule that will fit in my carryone luggage, for the duration of this trip. any tips and trips?
Trying on the clothes before packing makes so much sense. I have never thought of that. On many occasions, after arriving, I start to get dressed, I think, "Ugh. I don't want to wear that." Assigning outfits is a sensible follow-up. I will be trying that out the next time I travel. Thanks, Lauren. ❤
Same, I always assume my outfits will look good since the individual pieces work already (I mean that’s why I bought and kept them right?). But once I wear the combinations at the trip, I realize how off they look and end up repeating an outfit or 2 + waste some time before heading out 😅 it’s definitely useful to spend that extra time at home instead of at the trip to figure out to whole outfit haha
THIS is why I started following you and will ALWAYS follow your channel. You are the master of packing!! Such simple, logical steps, and it will lead to less stressful travel! Great video, as always, Lauren!
Thank you Susan! I am going to make an effort to mark more of this kind of content in the future. Personally, it’s my favorite video type to make, and it’s what I am most passionate about ♥️.
My dad and I leave in 25 days for Ireland and Scotland and I'm doing carry on only for the first time. I've done 2 test packs and it's more than feasible! I'm plus size as well. I have the places we're staying on my weather app to see how the weather goes. I'm packing just my normal everyday clothes with a couple of options that can be dressed up if needed. If all else fails and I truly need something, they have stores too! Happy travels!
This video hits home for me LOL. Chronic over packer here, but I am getting better at it! I did a carry-on only the first time last month for a 1 week trip. Next stop, 3 week trip, carry-on only!
Agree with trying things on!!!! Has 100% happened to me with think8ng an outift would fit or work with some shoes and NOPE. And honestly, be comfortable on vacation. Not feeling like things are tight or just dont work together.
I love your channel. Perfect timing on 10 tips! I’ve been researching carry-ons and your channel is the very best for product reviews. So glad I saw your lastest review on your favorites and I bought Quince expandable. I Like the zipper lock location, low weight and price. The only thing it doesn’t have that I would’ve liked is a handle on the bottom of the bag. I’m prepping my first carry-on only trip. One week to see family in Michigan. It’s will be in the 60s-80s and rainy. I live in the desert and expect I’m gonna find it chilly in the evenings. I’ve been pulling out clothes, trying them on and matching colors. Plus size here and appreciate your tips. My new personal item: medium Landon Dangne Dover mesh carryall. Needed something light and smaller. Big enough to also fit one pair size 12 women’s birkis that I use for slippers and shower shoes for support. Last but certainly not the least of why I watch you….I admire you for traveling solo. 😊
Great advice! ALWAYS try on all your outfits and take pics of the different ways to mix and match. And never take anything that you haven’t worn at least a half a dozen times or so, especially shoes! My bestie and I are leaving in just over 5 weeks for Ireland and Northern Ireland. We’ll be there for 21 full days. We’ll be layering daily and we’ll be able to do laundry along the way. BUT, we are taking rain boots along with one pair of sturdy sneakers and another pair of comfy shoes (I’m taking Bobs; she’s taking loafers). Fortunately, neither of us wear make up, wear jewelry, nor overly fuss with our hair so we won’t have space taken up by those things. We are both using the maximum allowed sizes of carry ons and personal item bags our airline allows so I’m confident we won’t need to check in a bag. 🤞🏼
Agreed! It’s how you pack. I’d like a video on shoes, especially for rainy season. I’m changing up my travel shoes selection. I have a super small wardrobe to start with, which makes choosing outfits super easy. 🌸 Heidi
I think the most important thing is deciding that you are going carryon only (or in my case, personal item only). Once you’ve made that decision, if you know what airline you’re flying, you know what dimensions you have to stay within. If you haven’t really committed to carryon only, then there’s a good chance that you’ll decide once you start packing that it’s too hard trying to fit everything that you want to take in your bag. But if you’re committed to carryon only, you’ll start deciding what truly deserves to go in your bag. Then you need to decide what your priorities are. My priorities are that I want my bag to be a spinner for ease of movement and have cats on it because I’m a crazy cat lady. Finding those in a personal item size bag took some searching. I’m still somewhat on the fence about whether to use my soft sided bag or the hard sided bag.
Definitely good advice. I waited until 6:55 for you to say the words *"capsule wardrobe"* as that's a huge part of my traveling and what I advise others. And you are correct that it is not the bag as much as how you pack it in that people are looking at different brands and different colors... but as someone who doesn't do wheels I still think there is that one important question one has to ask oneself. Consider if your preference in a bag is convertible duffel / backpack, tote style duffle, or something with wheels. I still believe the style of bags should be decided, even if you go to stores and try walking around with a demo but as far as the brand or colour, this makes absolutely no difference as long as it fits in your budget and it's something you feel good about! 🌍🌎🌏
Shoes are hard for me. I usually bring 4 prs. 2 is not enough. I do have a color scheme. For tropical vacations, I need water shoes, flip flops, or slides that triples as shower shoes, pool shoes, and slippers, a pair of dressy wedge sandals, and a flat sandal.
Lauren 2 pairs of shoes is ambitious. I’ve done 3. Headed to London (4 days), Iceland (a little over 48 hours 😂) Portland Oregon (3 days). I am determined to do carryon only. Iceland has me stomped…waterproof, windproof and i just don’t think i can fit hiking boots (we really won’t be doing falls etc just site seeing from the car).
Understandable! I have a few videos that can be helpful. One is how to limit liquids, which I will link here in the comment. But I also have 2 "Whats in my toiletry bag" videos, one from Norway (winter) and one from BoraBora (summer) th-cam.com/video/vTrdE1zx3Zg/w-d-xo.html
Love your tips 😊 I have watched several of your videos in the past (I am oddly entertained by packing tips and love organization lol) and thanks to your tips, I was able to have just enough in my carry on for a 2 week trip to Europe! 💕 And next time I’ll definitely try on my clothes before a trip. Made the mistake that my outfits would look good (since the individual pieces already worked on me) but at the trip, the combinations didn’t look right and I wasted time at the airbnb before heading out 😢 best to spend extra time at home than at the trip!
I’m so glad I could help and entertain you! I hope you had a great time in Europe, and yes, try it all on! No time should be wasted- there’s a whole world to see!
Thank you for your videos and all your tips! I am going to Istanbul (again) in November and I have already started pulling out clothes to put a capsule wardrobe together! I especially love your suggestion about trying on your clothes first! Even though Istanbul is a very metropolitan city and I have seen every style of clothing there, I personally dress modestly. Which basically means this type of clothing takes up more space! This definitely will be a challenge to put together a capsule wardrobe for just a carry on! 😆
I always try on all the pieces of clothing, shoes and accessories I’m considering first a trip. That way I can more easily see what works and fits and what needs to be eliminated or switched out for another piece. Regarding the 2 shoes only rule… I sometimes don’t even bother with a second pair. And then, on trips with “special situations” I may pack 2 and wear one. But the extra pair is usually something like a pair of strappy heels or sandals that don’t take up much room. (I may wear a pair of boots on the plane and pack a pair of sneakers, in addition to the heels.) As far as tops… I either pack 2 fancier options, that work well for a dinner at a nice restaurant… or I use statement accessories, like a scarf or blingy jewelry set, to jazz up a solid colored top.
I have bad feet and need to alternate my shoes every one to two days. I tend to wear flats so I can fit another walking shoe/sandal and a pair of dressy flats for evening into my carry-on. I have done 5weeks in a carry-on, but the one type of vacation I simply have never managed to pack in a carry-on is a cruise.
Hi! I watched your Béis small carry on video and realized that I had watched a previous video of yours some time ago and I never forgot the advice that you gave. When I saw you pack the Beis luggage I was sold…she travels the world and is a beautiful plus size packing Ninja?? SOLD! I want to be like you when I “grow” up lol. Needless to say…new subscriber here. Thank you!
Somehow I think I didn't finish this video and I came back to complete it and I'm so glad that I did because I love your explanation that's much more clear now regarding the capsule wardrobe and how to go about preparing it
Good point, and if you’re coming to Australia, our airlines usually have a 7kg carry on limit, so a lightweight carry on bag is better. I use a samsonite 72HR because it’s the most lightweight rolling case I could find. Some of the hard-shell cases can weigh a lot more and that’s like half your packing limit gone just in the case! 😂
I’ve been to Australia and NZ a few times, domestic flights and all, and only got weighed once! I seem to luck out over there. And actually most soft pieces weigh more than hard :) my hard cases are usually 5.5 lbs and the lightest soft cases are still over 6, but usually closer to 7-8.
I have a long distance relationship going on for 4 years now and i always struggle to pack. Just got the small BÉIS rolling bag and i am sooooo nervous to pack cause I had a slightly smaller bag than the regular BÉIS carry on. Love your content ❤❤❤
for shoes I recommend having versatile shoes, there is a brand named Pashion that makes convertible heels, so those are the perfect shos for travel for me because i can have everyday and party or evening shoes with me with less pack space...they are not cheap thought but worth it
The more I pack carry on only the more I realize I’m still taking too much with me. I still end up with things I don’t wear or don’t wear often enough to make it worth it. I use a Delsey carry on I’ve had for years that cost under $100 and it works very well. I like some of the fancy luggage I see on your channel but I just can’t justify spending that much for something I don’t currently need.
I always find your videos so beneficial! Thank you! ..I always try on the outfit ideas to make sure they work , before I go and pack the specific chosen items…I have saved myself some disasters this way! Love your work! Hi from Oz
LOL, I'm already buying and organizing 5 months in advance! Haven't flown since 1992 so catching up on lots of stuff I never had to do before including medical and layovers!!! (Actually started with getting correct financial cards and TSA/Global Entry by March! July job...new phone with ESim capabilities.)
You seem to have everything prepared but I don't always depend on an Esim phone. To avoid being flashy and also in case of theft I usually take an older phone with me and get a SIM card at the airport once I've arrived. Local SIM cards can be VERY inexpensive depending on the countries you travel to whereas staying with your carrier an Esim might cost you more in the end. You have a lot to take care of if it's been that long since you've traveled. I wish you the best! 🌎
@@IntriguedLioness My current phone is actually at end of life in terms of updates, so that's the main reason I'm buying a new one. It will have Esim capabilities. I'm aware of some issues with ESim...I could order a SIM chip before I go and I guess I have a long enough layer to put it in...I sort of don't trust myself! I've also heard that while you an go to a store in FCO airport, there is some danger that a worker could steal info....I won't be staying with my carrier which is Tracfone and So Cheap for my use, but no ability to use them anyway overseas. I can buy a data package online and hit the ground running as far as I can tell!
Do water shoes count as shoes? I find cutting out shoes difficult because I'm picking several for specific functions. I need something flat with little grip that I can dance in (jazz boots), but I also need something I can walk in for miles like my regular athletic shoes and sandals (which are clunkier than because plantar fasciatist sucks). So that's three pairs. Plus water shoes. 😂 I could probably not pack the croc foam slip ons that I like for going to the pool, hot tub, or sauna, but they've got arch support and dry immediately (unlike the water shoes), and are way easier to get on and off than my sandals. If I'm not going someplace hot and/or with swimming and/or with dance parties, I'm only taking two pairs.
We are going carry on fro australia to alaska and then hawaii. 4 weeks in total. We have acess to a washing maschine the first 8 days annd in hawaii. Looking forward to travelling lite
Love your videos! I’ve never really traveled before and want to plan a trip to Greece and have carry on only (still trying to convince the hubby we can do it) and your videos are so great to make the preping less stressful for packing.
I would rather do carry on. I use the Biaggi expandable with packing cubes and now a foldie for under the seat. If we both go we have 2 overhead carry ons and the one under the seat. Packing cubes have revolutionized my travel. Once you use what is in one, it becomes a dirty clothes cube. I can put so much into them. Now all I need is the dry bag for washing clothes and a way to dry them.
It’s very rare that I wash anything on my trips, as I’m only ever gone a max of 2 weeks and I generally pack items I can rewear, like merino wool for base layers. There are non liquid strips of laundry detergent you can get, or small liquid packs for your liquids bag, if necessary.
I really love the concept of carry on bag travel but I fly out of a small airport and must gate check all bags, of any size. If it rolls, it can't be brought on. Even if you try without wheels, it can't get on. And the only bag I've ever had lost or left behind is one that was gate checked. Left it right on the tarmac. So, I don't bother any more. I'd rather grab a bag from the carousel now. I do like follow for bag reviews and try hard to follow advice for reducing what I pack. Anyway, I do wonder if knowing you were going to check everything no matter what the size (other than a school sized backpack) would that change your mind?
Oh wow that’s a bummer! Even if I always had to check a bag because of something like that, I still wouldn’t go with a larger bag. My trips are fast paced and always have further transportation between countries. Let alone the lack of elevators in most places I go to!
Love all your content! You are inspiring and helping figure out carry-on only for my first trip at 53 to Italy (and your Europe)! My carry on restrictions are 20" x 16" x 9" and HAS to include the wheels! Air Transat is the airline here in Toronto Canada. It is a struggle!! I'm down to wanting to purchase the Take Off 2.0 XL. How do you find the spinner wheels on that bag? Have you used it often? Worried about cobblestone streets since the wheels are detachable. Any extra info on this would be amazing! Thank you!
Hi! Have you flown with them before where you know they will check your carry on size at the gate? Those measurements still add up to 45 linear inches, so I’d imagine a 21.5 x 14 x 9 bag would be fine. According to Reddit, they rarely make you put it in, and if they do, it’s usually the overpacked soft ones with a wonky shape. For a personal item, either go small or do a backpack and board with it on your back. I find that 99% of the time, I’m never asked to put my cabin luggage in a sizer or get it weighed :)
Another question: my personal item is larger than the size requirements, but it’s squishy, so should squish into the sizer if they ask… does that work for them? I have the Beis sport backpack…
It all depends on the airline. However, I usually fine that if you board with the bag on your back, they usually don’t look unless it’s a very strict budget airline
I signed up for your newsletter to receive the packing lists. For some reason, the link isn't working. I keep getting the Unauthorized Error 401. Even after clearing my cache. Is there any other way to get the lists? This packing video is one of the best I've actually seen. Most packing videos are just a pack with me. This one goes in-depth on how to pack, not just what to pack. Keep up the good work!
You always inspire me! Thanks for all the tips. Taking hubs on his first (first class) plane trip to a cruise and back including a fast rail train in there! Very excited. We are going in carryon only and I am using every one of your tips! Thanks again!
Lauren thanks to you we traveled to Scotland for 12 days in Take Off luggage and a very small personal item due to Aer Lingus size & weight restrictions…… which they did NOT enforce by the way. We did do a little sink laundry mid way but honestly it was way more doable than I expected. Finding room for the souvenirs was a challenge but we did it. 😊
I like the idea of packing 2 pairs of shoes. But what if you need to bring water shoes for a beach destination or flip-flops for the the hotel (because hotel floors are gross). Do you count those as your "shoes"?
I take a pair of tennis shoes and a pair of random plastic comfy cute sandals that can work for both dressy and casual. I can wear them to dinner, around the room, at the beach/pool. The other option is if I think I really need it I can buy it there. If I need water shoes I bring the sock style as they don’t take up much room. The reason I take plastic ones is they can be washed off if they get dirty.
Capsule wardrobes make sense but I’m really stubborn about them for some reason! I have to give in and pack in a capsule wardrobe for an upcoming trip. But I’m perfectly fine only taking two pairs of shoes.🤷🏽♀️
Ok, I always pack carry-on but pack 3 pairs of shoes. I need to change my walking shoes everyday, I alternate them. This way my feet don't hurt as much and I'm able to do all the walking I will be doing. Then I pack another pair, sandals in summer or light boots in winter. I will change into these for like dinner or just to rest my feet. This is important to me and I can live without a lot of other stuff, as long as I don't have foot pain when traveling.
I do something similar. Two pairs of walking shoes, then one small pair of slip on shoes that double was walking for the hotel. They’ve Vivaia loafers and pack down really small.
I have been watching several videos related to packing in a carry on for several years and I am intimidated . I swear my carry on is looking at me lol. I have a trip coming up next month and I hope it goes well this time with the packing. Last time it was cool/ cold where I went. So what did I do… I packed big bulky clothes. I don’t unfortunately have the money to purchase clothes that has been suggested so I can layer. 🤷♀️. Anyway thanks for your videos , guidance and advice.
First of all...i guessed u were a Michigander as well! Love our state. Today i did received my nomade lane slings...love them. And..my question is toiletries...i starting to check out bar shampoo. You doing hair...curious? I am learning to cut back and travel lighter with them.
I’ve been there several times but don’t have a video specifically for Ireland because I went before this channel existed. Check out my packing play list for similar weather packing. I have some videos there. Be sure to check the weather ahead of time. Look at using a packable jacket for fall weather, and they are usually waterproof. If you need a more heavier jacket, wear it on the plane because that does not count against you.
Great great video! I have a 4 day trip coming up. I will, of course, pack carry on only. Working on my husband! He's a little resistant but I think I can! #babysteps
I wonder if you would pack this way going to Disneyworld in the summer. I feel like you need two outfits per day. Then, people want Disney tops or ears etc. I’m really curious if you would still stay in a carry on😅
Honestly a lot of my clothes I get from clearance racks, thrift stores, and even Amazon! When searching, fold or roll something up to see how bulky it will be!
@@ItsTheKellys Nope. Two dress shoes in felt bags along one side of the July expandable carry-on lite. Outside the rails. Pair of Kizik sneakers in the center with bag for shoe brush and polish. AER toiletry bag. Clear TSA liquids bag. Folded hoodie. Rolled PJs.
I realize this is probably very niche, but I need help. Could you do a carryon video for hot weather but it's a shopping vacation. 3 days. How do I get my treasures back? (It's a luxury brands trip)
What kind of treasures are you buying and do you want the original packaging? For example, when I got my Gucci shoes overseas, I wanted to keep my box, so I just traveled with the shopping bag and box the entire way home, as if I just shopped at the airport, and it worked. Honestly, I’d do a backpack with my clothes and an almost empty carry on. If needed, buy a cheap checked bag for the way home only :)
Depends if you're flying or taking rail but I have found the best thing is a 40 litre duffle I can sling along the back. You can even push that 40L limit if you play on the flight attendants compassion! ❤👩🦽👩🦼🧑🦽🌏
Hi! For wheelchair users- we have more meds, supplies etc than average travelers. We check a 25in spinner bucket style suitcase ( clam shell to hard to handle for handicapped) because we can’t handle heavier items on plane. For carryon we use Underseat Pro for toiletry bag, meds, electronics, first aid kit, laundry pouch with laundry sheets & foldable hangers and a compression packing cube with extra underwear, pants, shirt and bathing suit in case luggage lost. A very small personal item bag ( Travelon sling or crossbody with water bottle pouch) for passport, daily meds, RFID wallet and airplane travel pouch with snack bars and electrolytes packet. Face mask if someone’s coughing on plane and hand sanitizer. Phone & charger cord for plane. The Underseat Pro is compact and usually fits between your feet on the wheelchair for going through airports. We like minimal carryon because we can’t lift in overhead and it’s hard to get assistance. And difficult when pushing wheelchair😊 We travel often, usually 30 days or more and Lauren tips save us room & keep us organized! Watch her Underseat Pro review!👍
@@ItsTheKellys yes, I’m worried too. Hoping the measurements they posted on the website aren’t 100% accurate and that when you measure it, it’s slightly smaller so that it’s still within the 45 linear. Could you compare it to the Quince expandable please? ❤ 😅
Ok oK OK - only 2 pairs of shoes? Cruising: dressy flats or sandals for dinners, my Brooks for running around the airport ( my feet need good support) and my EVA Birkenstocks. That's 3 and I think that is reasonable. I pack socks and stuff into the spaces in my Birks LOL
I limit it to two pairs, one for comfort, one for style. So depending on my destination and what I'll be doing, it may be a pair of tennis shoes and flats, or sandals and heels, or some other combo. But basically one you can walk hours in, and one for dinners/going out. And those two are neutral to go with any outfit, because I do a capsule wardrobe.
Go for a neutral color and comfort. I usually wear a walking shoe on the flight (to take up less room in luggage of course), as Lauren has shown with the Vessie. If you are a female, the second pair can be something a little dressier like a balet flat but once again, Comfort Comfort Comfort! After all, while you're looking at the world no one's really looking at your feet!
I pack a comfy cute plastic style sandal (cute for dinner, cute for pool, able to wash off the sand or dirt or whatever) and a pair of tennis shoes/boat shoes. If you really need another pair of shoes then fine but cut back on clothes. Don’t let that be what keeps you from packing carry on only. I went on a ten day cruise and trip to LA and took two pairs of shoes and a pair of crocs because it was Christmas and they fit a theme. It just meant I had to take fewer clothes. I still had things I took home I either hadn’t worn or didn’t wear more than once. And I’m not tiny😂

I really just want to find cute but comfy cushioned waterproof shoes that look nice enough to wear anywhere but comfortable enough to walk around a new city all day for a week lol, I don't know why this is so hard for me

Your advice about trying on outfits and wearing a capsule wardrobe has revolutionized my packing. Thank you!
The "I might need that" packing struggle is real! Great tips! The trying on b4 you pack is genius!
My biggest hurdle is toiletries. Help is welcome! Thank you!
I’ll be in Istanbul, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia in November! If I can do it, you can do it!
(I may wear a pair of boots on the plane and pack a pair of sneakers, in addition to the heels.)
As far as tops… I either pack 2 fancier options, that work well for a dinner at a nice restaurant… or I use statement accessories, like a scarf or blingy jewelry set, to jazz up a solid colored top.
Thank you!
Aw thank you so much! I’m glad it’s been helpful! 😘😘😘
Understandable! It’s definitely smaller! I have to smush my cubes a bit more
for shoes I recommend having versatile shoes, there is a brand named Pashion that makes convertible heels, so those are the perfect shos for travel for me because i can have everyday and party or evening shoes with me with less pack space...they are not cheap thought but worth it
I’m a big believer bringing shoes that can work for many occasions. I tend to bring my Vessi’s a lot since they’re comfortable and waterproof.
Have you ever considered doing a review on Nomatic Travel Pack or Nomatic bags in general? I'm new so if I missed my apologies!
I’ve tried reaching out to them with no response, but I’ll try again 🥰🥰
Ughhhhh- i dread packing!!! Just started travelling for work in the last two years- so grateful for your channel found via your July luggage review
I always find your videos so beneficial! Thank you! ..I always try on the outfit ideas to make sure they work , before I go and pack the specific chosen items…I have saved myself some disasters this way! Love your work! Hi from Oz
Hi! Thank you 😊 I’m so glad you try outfits on! It’s so simple, yet so many people skip it!
This is timely! In playing all kinds of Tetris with my takeoff luggage.
If this is your first trip with your "take off: luggage, let us know how this actually worked on a trip!!
@@IntriguedLioness it’s my first trip with it, and I’m still nervous despite the reviews. I’ll add a follow up comment after my trip. 😀
I could probably not pack the croc foam slip ons that I like for going to the pool, hot tub, or sauna, but they've got arch support and dry immediately (unlike the water shoes), and are way easier to get on and off than my sandals.
That sounds like an incredible trip! I can't wait to hear about how your packing goes!
I’m glad you are able to pack so efficiently!
Do you hand wash items in the sink and line dry? If so what do you use? I’m going to Iceland and want to hand wash my base layers, swimsuits etc…
Love the video. I need the shoe blog as a video. I am good with the 10 steps but shoes are the struggle 😂
I will work on the video soon! ItstheKellys.com to see the blog! There’s only a few posts on there!
Awww thank you so much! I really appreciate the kind words. Email me at hello@itsthekellys.com, and I’ll send you an attachment.
You always inspire me! Thanks for all the tips. Taking hubs on his first (first class) plane trip to a cruise and back including a fast rail train in there! Very excited. We are going in carryon only and I am using every one of your tips! Thanks again!
Have fun on your trip and thanks for watching and using my tips. First class is definitely a goal of mine someday. Take me with you 🤣
You are living your life to the fullest ❤
Thank you!
Super helpful… and perfect timing! One month out! :)
Loving that green on you!! 💚
Thank you!!
best video ever! definitely wish I had made a capsule wardrobe for my last trip. So many items went unworn and it was miserable to repack
Glad it was helpful!
Great video! I like your casual style also! New sub❤
Yay! Thank you!
Another wonderful video, Lauren. Great tips, as always!
Thanks so much!
The “what if’s” get me bogged down, but i can’t seem to help it!! Makes carry on only more challenging 😬
For luggage Can you review biaggi carryon pro? I would like to see it with non biaggi cubes.
@@Thinkjenise I own it but it’s very very small and I don’t know if I have anything great to say about it. I don’t think I could ever use it.
Loved this video - thank you for the tips.
You’re welcome! Is there any other helpful tip video that could help you even more? Let me know! I’m always looking for ideas.
It gets easier each time you make one.
BEST. ADVISE. EVER. Listen up people!
Hi, what's that cute blue bag, behind your head? Love your videos! So thorough and smart.

I’ll do a deep dive of your packing skills in Oman 😂
@@ItsTheKellys I wouldn’t mind!
Great tips but what about top layers like jackets etc. Have you ever packed for Ireland? That seems tricky.
I’m really curious if you would still stay in a carry on😅
I would like some suggestions for layering clothes that’s budget friendly.
Honestly a lot of my clothes I get from clearance racks, thrift stores, and even Amazon! When searching, fold or roll something up to see how bulky it will be!
@@ItsTheKellys thanks.
I have been watching your videos and I hope you can make a video on the best carry-on luggage 2024 before the early Black Friday sales. :D
Yes I always do :)
I bring three pairs of shoes- one pair of runners to workout in, sneakers, and a second pair of sneakers for work.
Starts at 2:20
Two pairs of shoes! My last trip, in a carry-on, I had 4 pairs of shoes. Wore one and packed three.
Did they take up half of your carry on?! Haha
I'd still like info on the best luggage, personal item, carryon for wheelchair users.
@Antoinette-i5n Thank you!
Hi Sweet Lauren!! Please tell me you have the new Monos carryon EXPANDABLE and you are reviewing it SOON ❤😉
You are the 90th person to ask in 24 hours 😂 let’s hope they will send one. However, without the expansion, it’s over 45 linear inches, so I’m worried
3 can be reasonable, especially if they pack flat. But all of my cruises I bring two and only wear one 😂
bulkiness - yes - I make a point of finding tops that are made of thin breathable fabrics. They take up so much LESS SPACE
I wish you were my friend and could come pack me! 🤣haha
🤣
I dont own a rain jacket or parker. I will even buy one in Alaska. I dont have access to anything where i live.
Let’s talk shoes.i can attempt 2 but usually i end up w 3-4. Help.
Great video, thank you! Could you please tell me about the pretty blue bag, right behind your head?
