I respect avenuex's review. She's very precise when it comes to technicalities, so I expected her to be harsh when it came to the CGI and production, and very few on the actors, however that didn't dissuade me from the story. currently only ep 14 of Legend of Anle and I'm really enjoying it. I especially love the dynamic set between the three main leads. I'm going to continue watching because I'm intrigued to find out what's going to happen. I'd day this is my favourite summer drama so far

I've only seen 7 episodes, but will continue because, while I agree with most of AveX commentary, it's different and entertaining in its own way. Not something to binge watch, but good enough to fill in between others.
I've only seen 4 eps so far but I find the FL very refreshing compared to most C-drama FLs. I've dropped so many C-dramas purely because I can't handle weak, silly, naive, clumsy and stupid female lead characters that behave as if they are five years old (or at most ten). If they are not annoying, they are just plain boring. Here we have a FL who is smart, competent, clever, bold, shameless, and a lot of fun to watch. Is it super well written or produced? No. Is it entertaining, so far? Yes.
Totally interesting and cute romance FL chasing the elusive prince only to actually fall inlove with him. The prince coz of his childhood love, didn’t want to admit he’s already smitten with Anle. Can’t wait to watch the entire drama.
I like the dynamics btwn the main CP, and the shameless antics of brute Anle towards our elegant Han Ye. I love watching Reba being THAT flirty & the fact that it's an act makes it sm funnier. I laugh saying "shameless!" at least thrice per episode. I also find the young Dili Reba super cute and befitting of her role. The plot is simpler than that on the actual novel and it's okay. It's just that the dubbing with lines totally diff from the lip movements is too distracting to the point where I had to look away from the screen to avoid unwanted feelings aka annoyance/irritability huhu
Yes... Liu Yuning is just a fun person. He's hilarious! 😂Happy that you find him as such too! He still has room to improve on acting but I look forward to his other costume dramas 折腰 and 一念关山. And I have a weak spot for his super tall height ❤
I am enjoying this drama so far. Up to episode 11. The pairing worked on me...is it a masterpiece nope am I forgiving a lot yep....but I am interested in the leads pairing so I am hanging in there. Also I like when anle is forward with the prince. So refreshing to watch. She is talking a big game ...i hope they have her back it up😂

I actually really love it! Except the bad cgi and some discutable directing choice àd bad lighting, everything else work! Its a plot and character driven story, with good actor and thoughout characterization ❤
I love LOA 😍🥰 I did not escape every episode..I read a lot of negative comments here but stil I choose to watch it because I love Deliraba and for me LOA is still a good I can't wait the excitement part. I will tell to all the readers in the comment section EMBRACE THE POSITIVITY IGNORE THE NEGATIVITY, negativity about what other people say because if you're easy person to discourage you will miss a chance to watch this drama.. even I waste my time to watch this drama for me still worth it.
I was seriously disappointed with the first episode and almost gave up due to the horrible special effects. Later it got better. Watched 15 episodes and its quite predictable, nothing extraordinary but watchable drama. If they continue to air everyday, I will watch everyday. If they don't, I won't miss it. Enjoying the main 3 actors' performances, especially Dilraba's spliting personality while playing flirty Anle and serious DZY. And how tall is LYN? I knew GJ is tall and LYN is even taller!! 🤭 ... New unit of measurement - 5 ancient detective to Nirvana in fire.. 😆 Looking forward to Imperfect victim's impression video from Avenuex.
It’s a lot of Plot actually,. And not all Di Family is dead., wen shou is AnLe’s younger brother and someone spares his life,. It’s still 20++ eps more,. So let’s just see the Twist ❤
Now that Lost You Forever has started airing, I'm waiting to see your first impression on that in comparison to Legend of Anle. I really didn't think I'd pay attention to it since I've never read the novel but I find myself captivated by it at the moment.
I like Dilabra so that is why I waited so long for this. What upsets me is they didn't use their voices. if you look it up or just simply listen that is not their voices. I just don't get it, especially with her voice which for me is iconic. Yes things aren't consistent but it is interesting. I love how she comes at him and he acts like a scared bunny rabbit.

I enjoyed it as my daily drama after work. I like how it's balanced between serious, comedy, sweet romance & heartbreaking moments. Nothing heavy but not crappy & the pace is just right. Both Dilraba & GongJun portray their roles perfectly. Their personalities are polar opposite but when they're together, their chemistry is beautiful. They have their own missions & both are not easy to be manipulated 👍🏻 I like GongJun's portrayal of crown prince who's introverted, gentle but upright & actually smart. The story keeps getting more interesting as the "mission" proceeds, with revenge, guilt, (forbidden) romance.. I heard the plot is going to be "torturing" soon (especially for the ML), looking fwd to it. (in the words of AvenueX, we're psycho in that department 😂) But gotta agree that ep.1 was quite a letdown. But I'm glad ep2 onwards, everything turns better & makes more sense ! Not sure what's Youku thinking when they release TLoA- airdropped with no airing schedule, airing schedule was only released few days later but only half schedule & lackadaisical promotion for a "summer drama". It's a little obvious both Dilraba & GongJun accepted this drama to reciprocate Shanghai Theatre Academy & Youku respectively (while LYN accepted it later on as a gig). Meanwhile, STA & Yk (who are involved in TLoA production) are using these lead casts popularity to bring in exposure to the junior actors from STA who are acting as various supporting roles in this drama. I find it funny how sometimes the supporting roles have so much screentime, better filter, better cgi & better backdrop than the lead casts 😅

Absolutely adore LYN! He’s hilarious IRL and a fantastic live-streamer. He likes to joke that others can say he’s a poor actor & even a poor singer but they cannot say he’s a poor live-streamer 😂 He’s still got a way to go in terms of acting but he himself is well-aware of that fact & is working hard towards his goal so I’m rooting for him!
I second that. There is a new drama 'Be your own light' and he is looking so different in that drama. For a few minutes I couldn't recognise him as I have only seen him in historical dramas. He is amazing in that role despite it being a women centric drama.

I was totally down for a pirate princess and liuyuning... But after a couple episodes I just sort of forgot about it. I don’t mind bad if it’s fun/ny. But it’s got to be really fun to keep watching.

I waited 2 years and after seeing alz.. I wish the two lead actors (gj & reba) were able to collaborate on a better script and direction. maybe a contemporary drama would have been much better than alz.
I am actually enjoying the drama so far. I know it's a bit slow but I understand they (mingxi and anle) have a plan brewing and acting too fast/rushing it could end up ruining the plan and stop it from succeeding. This way we also get to know about the other characters but i hope anle/ real ziyuan continues her revenge and doesn't stray from her main goals due to getting close with the people in the capital.
Was i disappointed by the CGI and weird camera angles? yes. Will i keep watching? YES. Because what really got me so far is the leads' dynamic and their story. It was all fun and full of sugar at the beginning but then you learn that it's all an act for Anle (until it isn't) and then we have Han Ye who couldn't help but falling for this girl. This kind of dynamic is not new or original but still Dilireba and Gong Jun really hit it so well together for me. Idk, their chemistry wasn't sth i expect to enjoy so much lol They both interpreted perfectly An Le and Han Ye in my mind from the novel. And I gotta say that some scenes are very well filmed, from the fighting scenes of An Le and Han Ye back to back to more emotional ones like when An Le helped Han Ye to get the decree for Di Ziyuan to get down from the mountain, Han Ye's conflicted emotions, bc at that moment he realized his feeling for An Le. That scene plus the BGM was just heart-wrenching, Gong Jun eyes delivered all of what Han Ye couldn't say out loud. I just watched the latest eps and holy moly the angst is hitting me hard. So i can say what this drama does right is the casting of the leads (including LYN) and to be able to build such an engaging and heartpulling love story between the leads. It's not going to be easy for them and it'll hurt but i'm ready for the angst, i want to see them overcoming all odds to finally have their well deserved happy ending. Hopefully more people can give it a chance bc it really has its own worth! ^^/

Been stalking weibo for the past week. Anle Zhuan is doing great in china despite the sabotage by their production company, Shanghai films. Little back story, word around weibo is they purposely halted promos and gave the leads (Dilireba, Gongjun and Liu Yuning) poor CGI in order to promote their supporting roles. Fans have noticed this when supporting roles have been getting a lot more screentime and their scenes also have better CGI... Youku and the director were against this and wanted to keep to the original set work that's why there's been conflict and that's why only 17 episodes were released on the calendar. Supposedly Shanghai films own the rest of the episodes. That's why Yk randomly dropped 1 episode and keeps to that schedule as there's a lot of confusion. However the drama has achieved 10000+ youku heat index for over 3 consecutive days, No 1 hot drama according to Aiman and top 3 and top 2 in Vlinkage, also supertopic no 2 and CP supertopic no 1. Dilireba has the highest female popularity character index this year and 3rd highest overall after XZ and YY. Don't let haters persuade you into thinking this drama is flopping or average. It's doing very well despite setbacks and passerbys have been praising dilireba for her acting. The only criticism I see is the poor CGI and filter (All production related) otherwise people are loving this CP and drama. Remember folks, Chinese Ent only cares about what Chinese public think, not what international folks who hate for free think. 😉
Note for international audience - weibo super topic , vlinkage ,aiman etc pure traffic based system it has nothing to do with the quality of a drama . Traffic stars uses various techniques to trend and this traffic is used to top various charts ..Youku index,Tencent index etc are only hypes.,you will see various news that it broke 10,000,23000 , etc etc but none of this is factual,it's just hype to manipulate the audience. There is no female or male charts,and there is no female top or male top in vlinkage . There is only top covering males and females. Douban ratings is another fake system where all the antis go and vote to being down drama they don't like. It's only a fan based voting system, not an expert rating system. Since international fans don't have sufficient know how regarding these fake charts and systems they will share these data to make the audience believe that thier star is the star and all others are shining low. Since they cannot manipulate international fans that much or international ratings systems that much ,the lies fall apart in front of international audience. 😊 You can observe that many dramas which are breaking many charts are nit even getting attention from international crowd. Our opinion matters to them , but they will fake it otherwise
Thank you for sharing the drama within the drama. I think that Dilraba looked relaxed and natural with Gong Jun. They are comfortable to watch. The story seems to pick up after Episode 10. Unfortunately, there are also too many side stories that dilute the main storyline. Who’s fault? Let’s give credit to those who put in the hard work and don’t discredit their efforts.

The history plot not have strong engagement but how Gong Yun portrayed the shy prince are so interesting, Reba did a good job but sometimes I felt sometimes she overdoing it as lively and intelligent woman. As I see she made Ziyuan a little sentimental character and Anle always playful n lively by ignoring her feeling. In basic Anle and Ziyuan are the same person. I don't see why she portrayed as two character, but she just change her name. The more engaging plot was Their love story development that I found strong. And how Gong Jun put it I love it. Yeah dubbing thing so out of dated n Cdrama still use it
Agree with your thoughts. The drama gets better whenever she was DZ, since she was overdoing being Anle. It's not easy to act as one person who pretends to be another person with different personality, as much as I love her in other dramas, I think she's not that deep yet. Hopefully she will get better.

So it’s the writer n director that miss cause how Anle with this traits got recognized by HanYe, Anning n Wan Shuo as Ziyuan. Anyway these Anle traits : smart, little mischievous, carefree, cheeky, demonstrate her likableness are often use in Wuxia. Not easy to play cause often they fail to adjust onto these traits that indeed charming and not over play or exaggerated traits. I think the director didn’t give her enaugh time to get into this role. Btw Gong Jun gives remarkable performances as Han Ye all his pain or conflicting emotion, his shyness traits delivered very well. I am painful n my heart shattered as his and I want so bad the sad ending so they part away.
I don’t know who directed episode 1, but this drama does get more interesting. The whole spider man holding the rope is so wrong, where did that rope come from? Also the speed is fast, a lot of how things came to be is not there but I realize they have a 40 episode limit in China. I know a lot of folks hate the focus and plots of characters other than the main leads, but it's good to also develop and show case other up and coming actors and share the wealth. I also want to mention that I like the pace of the romantic development of the main leads, where they gradually get to fall in love. I also like to mention that I very much dislike cutsie, infatuated, clueless female lead roles so in my opinion, I feel that Dilraba has improved since playing Feng Jiu in that regard. For Gong Jun, while I haven't read the book, my guess is his character will get more interesting around the time he figures out who the real Di Zuan is.
Im watching every 1 and then 2 episodes as they are being released these days and its currently at episode 15. I think that its very entertaining, Im not looking for a grand mystery and political masterminding with this drama. Although most people are thinking that after episode 17 airs today the plot is going to build up and I am excited for that. I suppose the most interesting part about this drama is the different variable characters that are going to inevitably pull the main leads apart. Luo Mingxi, the fake ziyuan and guard, and the beiqi royals undercover in the capital. My bet is that the fake ziyuan is only going to get much worse from here on out and really ruin whats left of the Di familys name. And speaking of the Di family I dont think that she is truly the last member....👁👁
Dilraba should do a full-on evil vamp role in modern time, I think that'll be something novel for her, not this 'I fell in love while taking revenge in fantasyland' bs, rather some morally grey manipulative businesswoman. Why is there not a badass female antagonist in modern times, who'd lock horns with goody two-shoes ML instead of falling in love with him?
I don't think there is reputable screenwriter in China that has the ability to write that one up, and a lot of times when a novel has a badass female lead... sadly they get dumbed down, or they switch the narratives to make it's all the male lead :(
I also would love to see her as an antagonist! Did you see her looks for LOA promo event yesterday, she looked so cool and stunning. I dont get why many actors dont take challenging roles like antagonists. YM is playing a villain only now in her new work, zly has played antagonist in a movie. Reba does take different roles. Anle, her recent role An ni both are different and strong. But no villain roles :(
To Be honest ,I only have watched 10 minutes of Legend of AnLe , I'm extremely pleased to see the same cute girl in "the Blue whisper" part 2 playing the child dilruba reincarnated as a fox 🦊... She is talented with good demeanor, then I Quickly switched to your review 💘... So I decided to read the Novel first particularly when I heard the writer's name . The writing is promising ,you feel the tension from the past secrets and family revenge .. the writer uses the flash back technic . I found myself hooked , craving for more to know what's coming next 😅.. I hope I won't be disappointed...when it comes to the drama ,I decided to watch AFTER I finish up the book .. I love the main leads but after watching the first episode I've been hesitating to watch more. I think I'll wait until you give your final review before I pick it back up. I did feel like after the first episode I could take it or leave it. I hope it redeems itself in later episodes because I really do enjoy watching both lead actors. I do think Dilraba's character fits her well. Not sure about Gong Jun's though.

Based on the pacing and what Avenuex mention..I think the most interesting part is ithe forth quarter of the drama...where the mellow and hrart wrenching things happen..well we have to be patient lol

So it need to be found out ,who is contacting these channels and asking them to time down eeviw s for dileieba dramas . That's the main point to be found out. Anle is a bad drama.,Avenuez is also agreeing on that ,she is not continuing it either. She criticised the drama but diluted and diluted it. She even added that , may be the last episodes will be more dramatic etc so that audience continue watching it . 😅 The positive comments here are added by dilrieba PR team . This is a flop drama ,everyone knows this already from day 1.

As I follow mostly period , historical romance with Wuxia, I will continue to watch it as I just finished ✅ the Longest promise today so , I have more time on this drama! I mostly watch Raba when she has a famous male lead, although I don’t like is male lead here, I will finish it until the end 😊

FL has military power and is a genius, makes as much sense as her role in The Long Ballad lol. I guess the good thing is it’s a big female lead drama with a strong character
what i was disappinted the most about from TLOA as a novel reader, & gong jun fan was the cgi & production coz youku said it was an S+ produbtion so my expectations were high. In hindsight, I can see why youku didn't promote it. There's rumours that shanghai film company & youku had conflicts which affected the drama. That aside im enjoying it storywise because im not taking it serious. Its just fun. I feel like you do that the story becomes very enjoyable
This drama is definitely the kind of drama you would forget about if you don't watch a few episodes, I was hoping that at least this show would be good considering how bad 'The Longest Promise' was BUT I was disappointed once again.

The effects were top notch, so ahead of its time and very believable and the actors were excellent, their emotions on point and the message they wanted to pass was understood. The storyline was great and straight to the point. It did very well and even tecent gained 4.9million subs just on the first episode. I watched it and I recommended it to my friends and sister. Anyone who said its bad actually didn't watch it or didn't want to watch it wholeheartedly because in their shallow minds they believe that the actress/female lead is not beautiful like dilraba. So to them its a flop, but since when is judging a drama base on shallow beauty standard? Because to me she was super cute, fresh and beautiful. Please watch it, you will surely enjoy it. Episode 1 will hook you in.

Liked that you said fantastical as that is the exact word that came to my mind, lol. I didn't notice the top of the boat, haha, as I was too taken aback by everything else that didn't make sense, such as how Han Ye didn't get run over by ALLLLL the other boats and jumped into the fight a while after it started also ALLLLL dry, 😂. Tbh, I am only watching because of the leads. Also like what you said, for me it doesn't have depth....a feel to it that we can immerse in, like Pearl Eclipse, Love Like The Galaxy, Sword and the Brocade, Princess Agents, The Autumn Ballad, The Story of Minglan, Rebel Princess, Legend of Fuyao ...... rewatchable dramas that I go to when there is nothing else I can sink my teeth into. They have a FEEL about them, if that makes sense? I do like some of Ren An Le's dresses tho. And Linlang actress is doing well as well as Anning actress. I like her better in this role than her role in A Girl Like Me, she impressed me with her capability. Other than feeling like I am being handheld in the story (obvious dialogue to make sure the audience is following along the story), it has caught me enough till her reveal and her family's matriarch. Surprised it passed review, and others lately, as it talks about how leadership should be righteous with Integrity, 🤔. 😂
I think it is okay..but not great...the pace is slow and many repetition in plot.. but i think it is okay..the editing is quite good and they put attention regarding the time..eventhough why make the age of the FL is too young to be able to lead naval army (well maybe in the novel her age is like that)

I was really looking forward to this drama but I just can't take it seriously as the characters actions just do no make any logical sense. It feels like it's trying to be Nirvana in Fire but it's like an empty shell of it. I will still try to continue and see how long I can last.
I only watched 5 episodes of this drama and mainly because of Simon. This drama is forgettable except for Dilraba and Simon's acting. Now, Lost You Forever on the other hand, that is an unforgettable story and cast.
I think your over thinking it. The ten miles of peach blossoms Raba's acting is a young girl trying to get her love, different acting style is required for this by Raba and she nails it, and it's nice to see her smile, her dunce silly acting is excellent, most actresses just look stupid and childish, Not being chinese, I love all the period custumes of all the dramas their all just so beautiful, so much color vividness, I dont have to be so technical and analyze the visual because it just looks beautiful to me. Can agree with everyone on this. First episode took me 3 tries to get through it. Fortunately the 3 leads are so watchable I was able to hang in there. Pure fluff with a whiff of GOTs
I am so with AvenueX. You are right on again. As far as acting goes, I think LYN has some potential. However, I find Dilraba's acting is boring and always the same in every single drama she plays. The way she delivers her line is just so lacking depth. I think she is one of the most over rated actress in China. Gong Jun was ok.
I've watched up to ep 8 and couldn't figure out what's wrong with this drama. Now I understand. This is an obligation project adapting a weak story to begin with. That explains a lot. There's so much money obviously spent on sets, props, etc., and so little effort obviously spend on the photography, lighting, styling, etc. The camera work is really disappointing, veering between boring and weird. 8 episodes in and I'm still waiting for the revenge plot to appear, aside from people talking about it. It has that uncomfortable vibe of a team contractually bound to do a project that the studio decided to sink a lot of money into, but which has a really lame story. I will keep watching it for the main leads. When they're allowed to work off each other in a scene, Gong Jun and Dilraba seem to have good chemistry and rhythm. But I don't have high hopes. Oh well. They can't all be winners.

Hello, I watched Dominator of Martial Gods from Youku. Low budget but really good. Much better than some of the bigger budget Wuxia drama that are showing now. Are you able to do a review on this one please?
I just finished it and thank heavens it's over !!!! I started to watch this drama cause I like both "Liu yuning" and "Dilraba Dilmurat" but her character was so unrealistic and annoying. someone whom her entire family got executed for treason and herself is in exile manages to form an army of 30000!!! and no one noticed!!! She's now back to capital officially as a pirate!! ( pirate!!?!) and becomes an official immediately for just solving a case and demands to be the "crown princess" huh? a pirate?!?!? Luo Mingxi is head of Judicial department but openly runs a pleasure house!!! and almost always is there. you barely see him in the office doing his actual job!!!! In one scene Ren Anle just barged into the emperor's room and started to talk to him !!! my Bike shed has a better security For no reason at all, She holds a huge grudge against the crown prince (even though he saved her life and he is an honest, upright person and she can see how loyal he is towards the "fallen fiance") but she has no issue with his sister and still consider her as her "BFF". why?!?!? Funny enough in the end we see that the sister actually was more guilty towards the tragedy rather than the poor Crown prince. super cheap script. So many repeated lines and flash backs. for every 2 lines that Dilraba says, she has to play the violin about the tragedy. at some point I was so fed up with it I was about to shout to hell with all those dead soldiers :( and in my opinion one of the Dilraba's worst performances. She failed to bring out a new cunning character. whenever she tries to fool people, she just turn into the same childish character she played as "Bai Fengjiu" in "eternal love" same facial expressions and acting...so disappointed . TBH at this point, I'm convinced, Reba is just a pretty face and no acting talent at all!!! God's forbid if she ever to look a bit messy on the camera. In the middle of the war and after tragic death of her best friend ( A martyr ) the nation's defending general, she still wears the brightest lipstick and makeup !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I discovered Dilraba works in you are my glory: I loved how she portrayed the FL . I pay always attention in the face and eyes expressions of actors during their performances. She is a pretty good and professional actor in my sense. Ciao Dilmura😊

I respect avenuex's review. She's very precise when it comes to technicalities, so I expected her to be harsh when it came to the CGI and production, and very few on the actors, however that didn't dissuade me from the story. currently only ep 14 of Legend of Anle and I'm really enjoying it. I especially love the dynamic set between the three main leads. I'm going to continue watching because I'm intrigued to find out what's going to happen. I'd day this is my favourite summer drama so far

I've only seen 7 episodes, but will continue because, while I agree with most of AveX commentary, it's different and entertaining in its own way. Not something to binge watch, but good enough to fill in between others.
I've only seen 4 eps so far but I find the FL very refreshing compared to most C-drama FLs. I've dropped so many C-dramas purely because I can't handle weak, silly, naive, clumsy and stupid female lead characters that behave as if they are five years old (or at most ten). If they are not annoying, they are just plain boring. Here we have a FL who is smart, competent, clever, bold, shameless, and a lot of fun to watch. Is it super well written or produced? No. Is it entertaining, so far? Yes.

I like the dynamics btwn the main CP, and the shameless antics of brute Anle towards our elegant Han Ye. I love watching Reba being THAT flirty & the fact that it's an act makes it sm funnier. I laugh saying "shameless!" at least thrice per episode. I also find the young Dili Reba super cute and befitting of her role. The plot is simpler than that on the actual novel and it's okay. It's just that the dubbing with lines totally diff from the lip movements is too distracting to the point where I had to look away from the screen to avoid unwanted feelings aka annoyance/irritability huhu
Yes... Liu Yuning is just a fun person. He's hilarious! 😂Happy that you find him as such too! He still has room to improve on acting but I look forward to his other costume dramas 折腰 and 一念关山. And I have a weak spot for his super tall height ❤

I love LOA 😍🥰 I did not escape every episode..I read a lot of negative comments here but stil I choose to watch it because I love Deliraba and for me LOA is still a good I can't wait the excitement part. I was seriously disappointed with the first episode and almost gave up due to the horrible special effects. Later it got better. Watched 15 episodes and its quite predictable, nothing extraordinary but watchable drama. If they continue to air everyday, I will watch everyday. If they don't, I won't miss it. Enjoying the main 3 actors' performances, especially Dilraba's spliting personality while playing flirty Anle and serious DZY. And how tall is LYN? I knew GJ is tall and LYN is even taller!! 🤭

Now that Lost You Forever has started airing, I'm waiting to see your first impression on that in comparison to Legend of Anle. I really didn't think I'd pay attention to it since I've never read the novel but I find myself captivated by it at the moment.
Yeah, it is just okay. I am just watching for the two leads. Dilraba seems to always be smiling and flirting and her eyes are so pretty.
I like Dilabra so that is why I waited so long for this. What upsets me is they didn't use their voices. if you look it up or just simply listen that is not their voices. I just don't get it, especially with her voice which for me is iconic. Yes things aren't consistent but it is interesting. I love how she comes at him and he acts like a scared bunny rabbit.

I enjoyed it as my daily drama after work. I like how it's balanced between serious, comedy, sweet romance & heartbreaking moments. Nothing heavy but not crappy & the pace is just right.
Both Dilraba & GongJun portray their roles perfectly. Their personalities are polar opposite but when they're together, their chemistry is beautiful. They have their own missions & both are not easy to be manipulated 👍🏻 I like GongJun's portrayal of crown prince who's introverted, gentle but upright & actually smart. The story keeps getting more interesting as the "mission" proceeds, with revenge, guilt, (forbidden) romance.. I heard the plot is going to be "torturing" soon (especially for the ML), looking fwd to it. (in the words of AvenueX, we're psycho in that department 😂)
But gotta agree that ep.1 was quite a letdown. But I'm glad ep2 onwards, everything turns better & makes more sense ! Not sure what's Youku thinking when they release TLoA- airdropped with no airing schedule, airing schedule was only released few days later but only half schedule & lackadaisical promotion for a "summer drama".
It's a little obvious both Dilraba & GongJun accepted this drama to reciprocate Shanghai Theatre Academy & Youku respectively (while LYN accepted it later on as a gig). Meanwhile, STA & Yk (who are involved in TLoA production) are using these lead casts popularity to bring in exposure to the junior actors from STA who are acting as various supporting roles in this drama. I find it funny how sometimes the supporting roles have so much screentime, better filter, better cgi & better backdrop than the lead casts 😅

Absolutely adore LYN! He’s hilarious IRL and a fantastic live-streamer. He likes to joke that others can say he’s a poor actor & even a poor singer but they cannot say he’s a poor live-streamer 😂 He’s still got a way to go in terms of acting but he himself is well-aware of that fact & is working hard towards his goal so I’m rooting for him!

I second that. There is a new drama 'Be your own light' and he is looking so different in that drama. For a few minutes I couldn't recognise him as I have only seen him in historical dramas. He is amazing in that role despite it being a women centric drama.

I waited 2 years and after seeing alz.. I wish the two lead actors (gj & reba) were able to collaborate on a better script and direction. maybe a contemporary drama would have been much better than alz.
I am actually enjoying the drama so far. I know it's a bit slow but I understand they (mingxi and anle) have a plan brewing and acting too fast/rushing it could end up ruining the plan and stop it from succeeding. This way we also get to know about the other characters but i hope anle/ real ziyuan continues her revenge and doesn't stray from her main goals due to getting close with the people in the capital.

Was i disappointed by the CGI and weird camera angles? yes. Will i keep watching? YES. Because what really got me so far is the leads' dynamic and their story. It was all fun and full of sugar at the beginning but then you learn that it's all an act for Anle (until it isn't) and then we have Han Ye who couldn't help but falling for this girl. This kind of dynamic is not new or original but still Dilireba and Gong Jun really hit it so well together for me. Idk, their chemistry wasn't sth i expect to enjoy so much lol They both interpreted perfectly An Le and Han Ye in my mind from the novel. And I gotta say that some scenes are very well filmed, from the fighting scenes of An Le and Han Ye back to back to more emotional ones like when An Le helped Han Ye to get the decree for Di Ziyuan to get down from the mountain, Han Ye's conflicted emotions, bc at that moment he realized his feeling for An Le. That scene plus the BGM was just heart-wrenching, Gong Jun eyes delivered all of what Han Ye couldn't say out loud. I just watched the latest eps and holy moly the angst is hitting me hard. So i can say what this drama does right is the casting of the leads (including LYN) and to be able to build such an engaging and heartpulling love story between the leads. It's not going to be easy for them and it'll hurt but i'm ready for the angst, i want to see them overcoming all odds to finally have their well deserved happy ending. Hopefully more people can give it a chance bc it really has its own worth! ^^/

Been stalking weibo for the past week. Anle Zhuan is doing great in china despite the sabotage by their production company, Shanghai films. Little back story, word around weibo is they purposely halted promos and gave the leads (Dilireba, Gongjun and Liu Yuning) poor CGI in order to promote their supporting roles. Fans have noticed this when supporting roles have been getting a lot more screentime and their scenes also have better CGI... Youku and the director were against this and wanted to keep to the original set work that's why there's been conflict and that's why only 17 episodes were released on the calendar. Supposedly Shanghai films own the rest of the episodes. That's why Yk randomly dropped 1 episode and keeps to that schedule as there's a lot of confusion.
However the drama has achieved 10000+ youku heat index for over 3 consecutive days, No 1 hot drama according to Aiman and top 3 and top 2 in Vlinkage, also supertopic no 2 and CP supertopic no 1. Dilireba has the highest female popularity character index this year and 3rd highest overall after XZ and YY.
Don't let haters persuade you into thinking this drama is flopping or average. It's doing very well despite setbacks and passerbys have been praising dilireba for her acting. The only criticism I see is the poor CGI and filter (All production related) otherwise people are loving this CP and drama. Remember folks, Chinese Ent only cares about what Chinese public think, not what international folks who hate for free think. 😉
Note for international audience - weibo super topic , vlinkage ,aiman etc pure traffic based system it has nothing to do with the quality of a drama . Traffic stars uses various techniques to trend and this traffic is used to top various charts ..Youku index,Tencent index etc are only hypes.,you will see various news that it broke 10,000,23000 , etc etc but none of this is factual,it's just hype to manipulate the audience. There is no female or male charts,and there is no female top or male top in vlinkage . There is only top covering males and females. Douban ratings is another fake system where all the antis go and vote to being down drama they don't like. It's only a fan based voting system, not an expert rating system. Since international fans don't have sufficient know how regarding these fake charts and systems they will share these data to make the audience believe that thier star is the star and all others are shining low. Since they cannot manipulate international fans that much or international ratings systems that much ,the lies fall apart in front of international audience. 😊 You can observe that many dramas which are breaking many charts are nit even getting attention from international crowd. Our opinion matters to them , but they will fake it otherwise
Thank you for sharing the drama within the drama. I think that Dilraba looked relaxed and natural with Gong Jun. They are comfortable to watch. The story seems to pick up after Episode 10. Unfortunately, there are also too many side stories that dilute the main storyline. Who’s fault? Let’s give credit to those who put in the hard work and don’t discredit their efforts.

The history plot not have strong engagement but how Gong Yun portrayed the shy prince are so interesting, Reba did a good job but sometimes I felt sometimes she overdoing it as lively and intelligent woman. As I see she made Ziyuan a little sentimental character and Anle always playful n lively by ignoring her feeling. In basic Anle and Ziyuan are the same person. I don't see why she portrayed as two character, but she just change her name. The more engaging plot was Their love story development that I found strong. And how Gong Jun put it I love it. Yeah dubbing thing so out of dated n Cdrama still use it
Agree with your thoughts. The drama gets better whenever she was DZ, since she was overdoing being Anle. It's not easy to act as one person who pretends to be another person with different personality, as much as I love her in other dramas, I think she's not that deep yet. Hopefully she will get better.

So it’s the writer n director that miss cause how Anle with this traits got recognized by HanYe, Anning n Wan Shuo as Ziyuan. Anyway these Anle traits : smart, little mischievous, carefree, cheeky, demonstrate her likableness are often use in Wuxia. Not easy to play cause often they fail to adjust onto these traits that indeed charming and not over play or exaggerated traits. I think the director didn’t give her enaugh time to get into this role. Btw Gong Jun gives remarkable performances as Han Ye all his pain or conflicting emotion, his shyness traits delivered very well. I am painful n my heart shattered as his and I want so bad the sad ending so they part away.
TLOA is my cup of tea! Love Reba and JunJun chemistry and the tension with the cool fight scenes. 👌
I don’t know who directed episode 1, but this drama does get more interesting. The whole spider man holding the rope is so wrong, where did that rope come from? Also the speed is fast, a lot of how things came to be is not there but I realize they have a 40 episode limit in China. I know a lot of folks hate the focus and plots of characters other than the main leads, but it's good to also develop and show case other up and coming actors and share the wealth. I also want to mention that I like the pace of the romantic development of the main leads, where they gradually get to fall in love. I also like to mention that I very much dislike cutsie, infatuated, clueless female lead roles so in my opinion, I feel that Dilraba has improved since playing Feng Jiu in that regard. For Gong Jun, while I haven't read the book, my guess is his character will get more interesting around the time he figures out who the real Di Zuan is.
Im watching every 1 and then 2 episodes as they are being released these days and its currently at episode 15. I think that its very entertaining, Im not looking for a grand mystery and political masterminding with this drama. Although most people are thinking that after episode 17 airs today the plot is going to build up and I am excited for that.
I suppose the most interesting part about this drama is the different variable characters that are going to inevitably pull the main leads apart. Luo Mingxi, the fake ziyuan and guard, and the beiqi royals undercover in the capital. My bet is that the fake ziyuan is only going to get much worse from here on out and really ruin whats left of the Di familys name. And speaking of the Di family I dont think that she is truly the last member....👁👁
AnLe still has a younger brother (wen shou),. This Drama has a lot of plots / twists.. so, it’s really hard to know the ending

Like the role of Tan Tai Jin in Til The End of The Moon. His character was so different. That's what made me like the drama.

I dont get why many actors dont take challenging roles like antagonists. YM is playing a villain only now in her new work, zly has played antagonist in a movie. Reba does take different roles. So I decided to read the Novel first particularly when I heard the writer's name . The writing is promising ,you feel the tension from the past secrets and family revenge .. the writer uses the flash back technic . I found myself hooked , craving for more to know what's coming next 😅..
I hope I won't be disappointed...when it comes to the drama ,I decided to watch AFTER I finish up the book ..

I love the main leads but after watching the first episode I've been hesitating to watch more. I think I'll wait until you give your final review before I pick it back up. I did feel like after the first episode I could take it or leave it. I hope it redeems itself in later episodes because I really do enjoy watching both lead actors. I do think Dilraba's character fits her well. Not sure about Gong Jun's though.
I'd say ep 1 was the worst because of the CGI. It really does get better after ep 1

I am really surprised that you didn’t review this drama like you usually do by pointing out the good points then giving the bad points. This time you mixed it all together and still gave it it a positive review with hints of negative, even with one and half mine. Usually one and half gold mine drama reviews get annihilated and then discarded by, “I dropped it by this episode” and “don’t bother watching it, it’s a waste of time.” Is this the new format that is going to be from now on for drama review?
Hehe , good question. Usually she says that but this time dilreba team has asked not to say this ,that's why she is cleverly mixing it up. For Longest Promise,this wasn't the case. So it need to be found out ,who is contacting these channels and asking them to time down eeviw s for dileieba dramas . That's the main point to be found out. Anle is a bad drama.,Avenuez is also agreeing on that ,she is not continuing it either. She criticised the drama but diluted and diluted it. She even added that , may be the last episodes will be more dramatic etc so that audience continue watching it . 😅 The positive comments here are added by dilrieba PR team . This is a flop drama ,everyone knows this already from day 1.

As I follow mostly period , historical romance with Wuxia, I will continue to watch it as I just finished ✅ the Longest promise today so , I have more time on this drama! I mostly watch Raba when she has a famous male lead, although I don’t like is male lead here, I will finish it until the end 😊

what i was disappinted the most about from TLOA as a novel reader, & gong jun fan was the cgi & production coz youku said it was an S+ produbtion so my expectations were high. In hindsight, I can see why youku didn't promote it. There's rumours that shanghai film company & youku had conflicts which affected the drama.
That aside im enjoying it storywise because im not taking it serious. Its just fun. I feel like you do that the story becomes very enjoyable

This drama is definitely the kind of drama you would forget about if you don't watch a few episodes, I was hoping that at least this show would be good considering how bad 'The Longest Promise' was BUT I was disappointed once again.

The effects were top notch, so ahead of its time and very believable and the actors were excellent, their emotions on point and the message they wanted to pass was understood. The storyline was great and straight to the point. It did very well and even tecent gained 4.9million subs just on the first episode. I watched it and I recommended it to my friends and sister. Anyone who said its bad actually didn't watch it or didn't want to watch it wholeheartedly because in their shallow minds they believe that the actress/female lead is not beautiful like dilraba. So to them its a flop, but since when is judging a drama base on shallow beauty standard? Because to me she was super cute, fresh and beautiful. Please watch it, you will surely enjoy it. Episode 1 will hook you in.
@@uditamohanty7928 I started watching this show like most people for xiao zhan but, the initial episodes were so bad ( considering the fl's bad acting, basic plot, boring second leads, annoying baby voice, etc.) so I put it on hold until it ended so that I could see everyone's reviews, but I'm honestly just waiting for AvenueX's review because she is the only one I can trust to give me honest reviews

I didn't notice the top of the boat, haha, as I was too taken aback by everything else that didn't make sense, such as how Han Ye didn't get run over by ALLLLL the other boats and jumped into the fight a while after it started also ALLLLL dry, 😂. Tbh, I am only watching because of the leads.
Also like what you said, for me it doesn't have depth....a feel to it that we can immerse in, like Pearl Eclipse, Love Like The Galaxy, Sword and the Brocade, Princess Agents, The Autumn Ballad, The Story of Minglan, Rebel Princess, Legend of Fuyao ...... rewatchable dramas that I go to when there is nothing else I can sink my teeth into. They have a FEEL about them, if that makes sense?
I do like some of Ren An Le's dresses tho. And Linlang actress is doing well as well as Anning actress. I like her better in this role than her role in A Girl Like Me, she impressed me with her capability. Other than feeling like I am being handheld in the story (obvious dialogue to make sure the audience is following along the story), it has caught me enough till her reveal and her family's matriarch.
Surprised it passed review, and others lately, as it talks about how leadership should be righteous with Integrity, 🤔. 😂

I think it is okay..but not great...the pace is slow and many repetition in plot.. but i think it is okay..the editing is quite good and they put attention regarding the time..eventhough why make the age of the FL is too young to be able to lead naval army (well maybe in the novel her age is like that)

I have mine & don't always agree but I can make up my own mind whether I enjoy something or not (I have a mind of my own) & I'm not going to hate on her because we differ in our opinions on certain dramas ... Agree. The original novel contains a lot of wuxia elements, including scenes where characters legit blow up entire mountains with their martial arts.

I was really looking forward to this drama but I just can't take it seriously as the characters actions just do no make any logical sense. It feels like it's trying to be Nirvana in Fire but it's like an empty shell of it. I will still try to continue and see how long I can last.

I only watched 5 episodes of this drama and mainly because of Simon. This drama is forgettable except for Dilraba and Simon's acting. Now, Lost You Forever on the other hand, that is an unforgettable story and cast.

Not being chinese, I love all the period custumes of all the dramas their all just so beautiful, so much color vividness, I dont have to be so technical and analyze the visual because it just looks beautiful to me.
I'm Sad this is going to have sacrifices at the end, I'm a happy ending person, so I'm now going to wait for the last episode and watch it backwards

I am so with AvenueX. You are right on again. As far as acting goes, I think LYN has some potential. However, I find Dilraba's acting is boring and always the same in every single drama she plays. The way she delivers her line is just so lacking depth. I think she is one of the most over rated actress in China. Gong Jun was ok.

I've watched up to ep 8 and couldn't figure out what's wrong with this drama. Now I understand. This is an obligation project adapting a weak story to begin with. That explains a lot. There's so much money obviously spent on sets, props, etc., and so little effort obviously spend on the photography, lighting, styling, etc. The camera work is really disappointing, veering between boring and weird. 8 episodes in and I'm still waiting for the revenge plot to appear, aside from people talking about it. It has that uncomfortable vibe of a team contractually bound to do a project that the studio decided to sink a lot of money into, but which has a really lame story. I will keep watching it for the main leads. When they're allowed to work off each other in a scene, Gong Jun and Dilraba seem to have good chemistry and rhythm. But I don't have high hopes. Oh well. They can't all be winners.

Luo Mingxi is head of Judicial department but openly runs a pleasure house!!! and almost always is there. you barely see him in the office doing his actual job!!!!

For no reason at all, She holds a huge grudge against the crown prince (even though he saved her life and he is an honest, upright person and she can see how loyal he is towards the "fallen fiance") but she has no issue with his sister and still consider her as her "BFF". why?!?!? Funny enough in the end we see that the sister actually was more guilty towards the tragedy rather than the poor Crown prince.
super cheap script. So many repeated lines and flash backs. for every 2 lines that Dilraba says, she has to play the violin about the tragedy. at some point I was so fed up with it I was about to shout to hell with all those dead soldiers :( and in my opinion one of the Dilraba's worst performances.
She failed to bring out a new cunning character. whenever she tries to fool people, she just turn into the same childish character she played as "Bai Fengjiu" in "eternal love" same facial expressions and acting...so disappointed . TBH at this point, I'm convinced, Reba is just a pretty face and no acting talent at all!!! God's forbid if she ever to look a bit messy on the camera. In the middle of the war and after tragic death of her best friend ( A martyr ) the nation's defending general, she still wears the brightest lipstick and makeup !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
