Meet yourself is the best drama of 2023 for me. It was so good that after i finished it, i literally didn't know what to do, what to watch.. Because the threshold for my satisfaction became so high. I will go and say for me, This is the best Cdrama i have EVER watched!!! The only other cdrama i will put up there with it is Nirvana in fire
At this end of the year, I'm telling you Lotus Casebook is still the best Chinese drama. Of course there are good Fantasy/romance/historical/modern and others genre but I think Koreans made them better.

The problem with MDL or others is that there are tons of fangirls giving 10 to every romance coming out which makes those platforms not reliable. Every aspect should be noted and judge, that's why i think Douban is better, not perfect but acceptable.

People also got angry that the fl left her family after all the money spent on her as adopted daughter. Personally I don't understand why it needs to be attacked for that. The parent especially the mother was so toxic. Such a shame that a lot of people rated it 1 with comment "although I have not watched it, it's really bad"

Mysterious Lotus Casebook was fascinating, Meet Yourself was a gem, but missed out on all the other ones. Tried to start it a few times and will likely go back and watch An Ancient Love Song because of the ratings and because I like historical dramas.

I have watched a lot of dramas over the last 2 years. I looked at the top rated dramas and can only say I started watching ancient love song and didn’t finish it. Meet yourself & lotus casebook I might eventually watch but am not interested in the rest. I want to relax laugh and cry. The world has enough sad and evil in it I want to be happy when a show end. So out of all these shows Gen Z did that. Did I like everything about it no but I liked the overall show. They were all good actors and a good family.Maybe because I have watched U.S. dramas I have switched to Asian dramas. So much to choose from. As an older person i don’t need some of this. People are so hard on some of these actors . I am glad I am not judged by them.
Bai Lu and Dylan Wang‘s chemistry was -10, absolutely non-existent. these dramas stand and fall with the chemistry of their leads. ditto Yang Yang in Fireworks. Love the comment: our standards apparently aren‘t low enough!😂

I loved GenZ I have watched it several times. TCM is a good alternative to drugs. . It just opened my eyes to try other things to stay healthier. The cast did a great job especially zhao Lusi. I just don’t understand the low rating . I heard it was because people thought it bashed western medicine. Well all people can’t pay the prices of drugs out there. If that’s not the reason please explain. Will stay one of my favorites.
I think it was because of that weird "She's MY Daughter" storyline that literally served no purpose other than to separate them. A 30 second reunion ticked me off... but until then, I loved it

In my opinion Fireworks of My Heart was good. I think the opening rating was low because the story was changed from the original in the beginning - first 8 or 9 episodes. People didn't like the change in the ML's character and reactions and it turned people off of the entire show. That was not the actors' fault... I liked it anyway. Too bad about that score.
I'm just here laughing, cause who are those rating, what are they rating actually 😂😂, like for real,i didn't even come across the best rated ones till now, internationally the least rated made more waves ❤❤ and are very lovable... Why give this platform Douban authority and voice in the first place? We will enjoy the dramas we want to enjoy, they don’t have influence on us so they are invalid. If it’s a voting platform then expect the results to be subjective. But if it’s really a horrible drama that’s too obvious, we will surely agree. But I also understand that there should be a regulatory body but should not be based off of votes and does not accept bribes.
I love Yang Yang but i must say, i found it quite difficult to watch because it drags on and i found the FL character annoying. I didnt mind his performance

I can completely understand why fireworks of the heart has such a low rating, first Yang Yang is a terrible actor, second the plot has been beaten like a dead horse ,a new drama with basically the same plot and characters comes out about 3 or 4 times a year, the only thing that gives it any appeal at all is that the main female lead is attractive

Meet yourself & lotus casebook I might eventually watch but am not interested in the rest. I want to relax laugh and cry. The world has enough sad and evil in it I want to be happy when a show end. So out of all these shows Gen Z did that. Did I like everything about it no but I liked the overall show. They were all good actors and a good family.Maybe because I have watched U.S. dramas I have switched to Asian dramas. So much to choose from. As an older person i don’t need some of this. People are so hard on some of these actors . I am glad I am not judged by them.

Fireworks of my heart have a good romantic story, but the main story about firefighters are not enough, chinese watchers can't accept the storyline
I can agree on most but I liked fireworks of my heart. Ive seen several of his dramas and I think he's good at his roles.
Ripe town was great. Lotus casebook is going to be a lifetime favorite.

Bai Lu and Dylan Wang‘s chemistry was -10, absolutely non-existent. these dramas stand and fall with the chemistry of their leads. ditto Yang Yang in Fireworks. Love the comment: our standards apparently aren‘t low enough!😂

Wow! Chinese audience gained my absolute respect. The rating is just right and show cases that a drama shouldn't get popular or anything just by overuse of popular gimmick but for a strong storyline. ❤
Si es como los productores chinos se han vuelto muy mediocres a la hora de crear buenos dramas y lanzan cualquier basura confiados en que va a ser un exito por el simple hecho de tener como protagonistas a los idolos del momento ya tiene el exito garantizado sin preocuparse de crear una buena historia con personajes complejos e interesantes en entonces cuando salen al aire el publico que a diferencia de los famdos de los protagonistas de estos mediocres dramas que consumen cualquier mierda que ellos estelarizan y ellos lo ven como una joya mientras que la critica especializada y el publico en general que no esta casado con ningun idolo en particular ni cegado por el fanatismo va a ser mas critico y objectivo a la hora de consumir el productor y lo veran tal cual es en realidad y lo veran como una joya o como una mierda como fue el caso de Fuegos artificiales de mi corazon y Todo por amor que como productos en si son una total decepcion que aun cuando hayan alcanzado un alto grado de popularidad no dejan de ser produtos mediocres

@@moonstruck3454 si yo tambien lo vi y nunca un drama me habia hecho enojar tanto como este que horror y eso que Bai Lu me gusta como actriz pero es que aqui fue de pena ajena tanto su personajes como su interpretacion de este y Dylan la verdad no esperaba mucho de el porque siempre lo he cosiderado un actor mediocre que siempre en sus dramas tiene la misma exprecion inexpresiva a lo Kristen Stewar y aqui estuvo al triple de inexpresivo con un personaje de mierda que no hacia sino posar y defilar en vez de caminar cual si estuviera en una pasarela y tocandose las gafas a cada rato era desesperante por eso me dio tanta rabia que fuera tan popular el drama con lo malo que es mientras que otros que Amor en panacea que auque no es perfercto en terninos generales en cuanto a historia , personajes con profundidad y desarrollo de los mismo es una gran drama con un gran mensaje lastimosamente fue eclipsado por la popularidad de la mafufada de Todo por amor

Love me, love my voice is not in the list. It is the best for me and I have enjoyed watching it a few times. The music and songs are beautiful.
I loved GenZ I have watched it several times. TCM is a good alternative to drugs. . It just opened my eyes to try other things to stay healthier. The cast did a great job especially zhao Lusi. I just don’t understand the low rating . I heard it was because people thought it bashed western medicine. Well all people can’t pay the prices of drugs out there. If that’s not the reason please explain. Will stay one of my favorites.
I think it was because of that weird "She's MY Daughter" storyline that literally served no purpose other than to separate them. A 30 second reunion ticked me off... but until then, I loved it

The ratings are very subjective to the judges already preformed idea of what they like in a drama series

Rating a drama's popularity based on douban rating seems unfair. Because the number of "raters/viewers" varies in every dramas.
In my opinion Fireworks of My Heart was good. I think the opening rating was low because the story was changed from the original in the beginning - first 8 or 9 episodes. People didn't like the change in the ML's character and reactions and it turned people off of the entire show. That was not the actors' fault... I liked it anyway. Too bad about that score.

The acting in most low rated dramas is very poor,in China Fans love low acting dramas just because of pretty faces from their idols they don't care about quality,actors look so weak with their beautiful faces and thin

Asi es tal parece que la mayoria del publico chino principalmente los famdons de ciertos idolos priorizan el actritivo fisico que el talento e ilusamente creen que slo por ser bonitos ya son los grandes actores cuando mas alejados de la realidad porque pareciera que la mayoria de estos idolos con algunas excepciones nunca han pasado por una academia de actuacion porque en los dramas en los que salen mas que actuar y generar expreciones lo unico que hacen es posar para la cama y buscar el mejor angulo para lucir hermosos y perfectos y luego cuando se les cuestiona su falta de talento su famdon se enoja y dicen que es puro hater y emvidia hacia ellos

Why give this platform Douban authority and voice in the first place? We will enjoy the dramas we want to enjoy, they don’t have influence on us so they are invalid. If it’s a voting platform then expect the results to be subjective. But if it’s really a horrible drama that’s too obvious, we will surely agree. But I also understand that there should be a regulatory body but should not be based off of votes and does not accept bribes.

I love Yang Yang but i must say, i found it quite difficult to watch because it drags on and i found the FL character annoying. I didnt mind his performance

I can completely understand why fireworks of the heart has such a low rating, first Yang Yang is a terrible actor, second the plot has been beaten like a dead horse ,a new drama with basically the same plot and characters comes out about 3 or 4 times a year, the only thing that gives it any appeal at all is that the main female lead is attractive
