I have three of their holsters and purchased one for my son. They are awesome holsters and you are correct in that they arrived within 3-3 days of ordering. Still using Garrett Holsters. You brought them to my attention several years ago. I now have one for my K6s, Staccato, shield plus and Walther PDP.
I still like my Garrett holsters and use them regularly. However, for guns I don't plan to regularly carry beyond my testing period, plain Kydex is easier on my wallet. Thanks for watching.
Muddy was one of the first companies to make holsters for the 509. That is how I found them. I'll be ordering their holster for the 509 Edge even though my slide is actually from Apex Tactical Specialties. They are the same size so it should fit. Gr8 vid as usual, sir. 🔫 🇺🇸

I have 4 of their OWB Kydex holsters for guns I would not carry IWB, too big. I am looking to get a couple more from them for my PDP and Security 380. Will have to try their IWB for my EDC - P365 & Max-9. Like you said- quick shipping, quality product, good price.

I haven’t order mag holsters yet from them but I got to say after many companies holsters ,that I owned, I got to say Muddy River Tactical it exceeded my expectations finally found the perfect gun holster in many ways and I will keep my business with MRT 🇺🇸🤘🏻

I’ve never found contact forms to be an effective way to communicate. While I own many Kydex holsters, I rarely use them now. They do shine in at home shaping with a hairdryer, while leather offers few solutions. Thanks for Sharing! 👍👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Some guns just deserve quality leather (nice 1911s, most revolvers), the current crop of polymer guns are just as happy in polymer holsters. And for IWB carry, Kydex generally trumps leather. As always, thanks for watching and commenting.
The fact that they give different belt options is why I’m going with them. I have trouble finding belt loops.

@@RidersRange The leather holsters will collapse with the firearm removed but they feel wonderful against your skin.
I’m sending mine back. Retention was terrible. Gun “jiggled” even when in the pants on the belt. Contacted owner and was talked to like I didn’t know anything about iwb holsters. I have owned more than 10 of this style. This is the only one that was loose. I will admit the “claw” that everyone is doing some variation of now is great. Really helps to conceal. But the retention was just not worth the money. Concealment express, we the people, on your 6, and even amazon cheapo Gladiatorland is better.
@Adam Fair, it's too bad you had an issue with yours and sad that you didn't get any satisfaction from Muddy River. From my experience, that is not the norm, but thanks for adding your experience with that company.
I just got mine today it's an IWB with the claw and it just didn't fit right. I'm lucky enough to live fairly close Muddy River so I called, got the gun store and was immediately given the number to the holster shop. To my Surprise, the owner er Kevin himself answer and without hesitation told me to bring it in and they will fit it to my P10s. Excellent customer service.
My only phone call with the owner was smooth and professional. He fixed the retention on mine, no questions asked and free of charge, i just had to pay to ship it to him, he paid for the return shipping. He did exactly what i asked for, with the issues i wanted corrected, that were specified via my hand written note, and had it back to me in less than a week. Both my holsters from them have been going strong for 5 years now.

I own several kydex holsters from Muddy River. The products are high quality, the price is very competitive, turnaround time is incredible, and Kevin is a super nice guy. Anytime I have emailed him directly, he has gotten back to me the same day.
On an unrelated note, are you now carrying DA/SA pistols?? Or are these T&E firearms? No more 1911’s for CCW?
Bonham, I'm still carrying my Staccato C almost every day. But I do have to try new guns. My channel isn't big enough to get T&E guns. though I do occasionally get to borrow a T&E gun from another channel. However, most of the guns I review I have to buy, or borrow from friends. I’ll have to say the outside is the best fitting one I’ve ever gotten it has a really good click when putting it in the inside is really soft and comfortable

I just tried using the Sig Armorer’s contact form twice in three weeks and never received a reply. So I called Robert, who picked up and I said you never got back to me, and he said you’re the second person today who has said no response from the contact form. So… Anyway, based on your review I’m going to give this family a try. I have many Vedder holsters, another family owned business, but there seems to be a lot of value here, between 10% off with the Family code, no charge for an optic cut, and two sets of belt contact points at no extra charge. Thanks for the review very informative. My only hesitation on getting A Kydex holster is they all seem to cause some damage/Premature wear/rubbing marks near the end of the slide. The material inside looks smooth and shiny, does this Kydex holster cause the where I speak of to your pistols? I’m just a little bit fussy about the appearance of my gun. Thank you
Mike, I am old-school and really like leather. While there are some guns that just seem to cry out to be carried in a good leather holster, others are pure working guns and are fine with Kydex. From my experience, leather and Kydex will both cause finish wear. However, Kydex is smooth, easy to clean and less likely to attract grit and debris, while leather is more likely to pick up grit that can wear the finish on a gun. For me, leather for my Wilson EDC X9, Dan Wesson ECO and PM-C, and most revolvers, but Kydex for my Staccatos, Glocks, Sigs and my 327 TRR8 revolver.
Yes it does, but you're going to wear the finish off the slide of a gun you use in any serious capacity, eventually. I've carried both my m&ps in muddy river holsters for 5 years now, and the slide wear is minimal.

My go to IWB holster, adding the claw is worth it
I know the claw helps with appendix carry, but I haven't seen much info on IWB at the 3:00-4:00 position. If that's how you carry, let us know how it works out. Thanks for watching.
Shoot I was gonna order one from them for my P10C but see the mag release is covered in yours. I prefer the mag release to be open.
Advantages and disadvantages both ways. Some like the mag release protected to prevent inadvertently dropping a mag.
@@RidersRange I've been carrying everyday for 24 years and have taken many pistol classes and never accidentally dropped a mag and using a wide variety of handguns. Laying on it, bumping against walls, hand and hand combat training. In many pistol classes we will reload the gun while holstered and you can't do that if it's covered.
You can put in the order notes that you want the mag release uncovered. I have put very particular order notes in, and they will do their best to make it exactly as you want. My first holster for my shield, had the mag release exposed, and the retention wasn't awesome. I sent it back and had very specific notes about how i wanted the retention and to move the kydex up over the mag release, they did exactly as i asked for when i got it back. There's not many companies out there, that the owner of the company is handling customer service calls
Off topic here however I would like your opinion on lasers. I am considering one for my Kimber K6s. Grips with laser..any feedback would be much appreciated. Semper-Fi
I'm not a big fan of lasers on handguns. I believe they may have value when it's too dark to see the sights, but then it's usually too dark to identify the target, also. Most people I've seen with lasers on their pistols don't shoot any better, they often shoot worse, when using a laser. But that's just one person's opinion.

Anybody who has a kydex iwb holster and says it's comfortable when sitting down isn't telling you the truth. I have two Muddy River IWB soft leather holsters, they are very comfortable to wear standing or when sitting down. Excellent !

Do your iwb fit the phlster enigma system?
Good question. I don't have the Enigma system, so you'll have to contact Muddy River Tactical for that info. They are good at responding to email.
@@RidersRangeconfirmed it does as long as you get the claw retention system white the holster and fixed retention screw with the Enigma. Give it a look.

Mine has the mag release covered. You just have to ask for that in the order notes👍
Also check out crossbreed seconds. Loval to missouri. You can get steep discounts on crossbreed holsters. Some are blemished, some are returns ceom their trial period. I have saved lots of $ and again, great customer service from them.
