Habari Miss Trudy, sorry I called you and your future husband idiots, I'm not like that at all.
I was just truly disappointed by your lack of research and knowledge of SA's history, economic and political landscape. I "think" if you're going to have opinions about the racial, economic and political issues of a country you're visiting, you need to do some prior research and acquire some knowledge way before your arrival, so you can have the background in order to ask pertinent questions with the necessary understanding, and most importantly sufficient sensitivity around certain issues. But if you're just visiting a country for fun, sightseeing, clubs, beaches, and casinos, then there's absolutely no need to dig deep, you just arrive, have your fun, spend money and leave.
I've watched a lot of videos on TH-cam of Americans who visits SA with amazing knowledge and interest in the history and current politics, and understand from the minute they land in JNB or CPT why certain things look and seem the way they do, what progress with made, and what we lack and still need to work on as a country that's just 28 years old.

Trudy, many of us were disappointed at how you and Maya had no understanding of the history of SA. But I do believe you're a good person.

Studied there in the late 90"s,the design is u shaped called horse shoe.it was built in the 70's it's so modern and beautiful even by today's standards.I stayed in Oppierif.Our Accounting classes were in C and D sections!Back then blacks unlike whites and Indians didn't have cars at varsity, my parents gave me an Audi500 so I was the man.Passed by there the other day things have changed!Thank you for bringing back the memories.

Hi. Great video man. I’m an ex-UJ student and this video bought back so many wonderful memories of my times there, through you showing us the different parts of the campus. I also remember spending many hours in the library as well 😅. The 4th floor was my spot. Please keep up the great videos. God bless.

That is my University it was called RAU (RAND AFRIKAANS UNIVERSITY) only white Afrikaners were allowed to study in that university and it had a shopping Centre and it was the only university with that high standard I was very lucky to study there please try and research the History of the university and tell it better

When was the university built?
Not sure exactly but I know Uj came to existence in 2005 but I believe some of thr budding exists prior I’ll get more details on that then get back
We used to call it RAU (Randse Afrikaanse Universiteit (Rand Afrikaans University) (1967-2004) then in 2005 changed to UJ (University of Johannesburg)
During apartheid they really did a good job
