Well I think this kind of anxiety is completly natural and has nothing to be compared with her work as an actress. When she's working, playing, she is in a completly special environment. She knows what she has to say, how to behave, and with camera, she also knows that if she do something wrong, she can try again. So in a way, being an actress is less stressfull. Here she is caught by surprise, usually this award is won by a french actress. I think she didn't even prepare herself to get up on stage, plus it's in a foreign country, and she doesn't speak french, or just a little bit. So I think her anxiety is completly normal. Even for french people, winning an award is really stressful, and a lot of them have anxiety crisis when they come pick up their award.

The reality is she suffers from an anxiety disorder. She pushes through it though for the sake of her fans and the necessary awards shows, late night appearances, autographs, etc. So, good for her. Anxiety disorders present a lot of challenges for the sufferers, it's good to see she overcame them and became successful.

That "James Corden" cannot even say that this is the "French movie Cesar Academy". He called it the "french oscar". The cinema is borned in my country, and your so beautifull actress got a real award this time, with a french movie, because as she tells herself, and many others, she is not good to emotional performance. She learned with Juliette Binoche, and now, maybe she will be a good one.

It's pretty clear that Kristen Stewart usually feels very anxious during interviews. But I love seeing her on Conan. It's one of the few shows where it seems like she's relatively comfortable. And the way her and Conan get along must help it be a better space to inhabit.
Seeing somebody with anxiety or anxiety disorder being a celebrity,trying thet best to do their job,being honest and also being a positive influence is very inspiring honestly. And even tho I don't know Kristen personally I do appreciate her for doing what she does.

True, i didn't like her performances in other movies before (i never watched twilight and never will), but she really blew my mind in Clouds of Sils Maria (for which she won the Cesar prize).
DEFxRECON I didn't even watch Twilight because the movies didn't appeal to me. However, I watched bunch of different movies of her, including The Yellow Handkerchief, The Runaways, Adventure Land etc I think she just has a hard time to stop being herself and start being a character, I mean when I see her movies, I see Kristen Stewart, not the character. I don't know whether it's her anxiety or what not that people say she has but, I don't think she sucks as an actor, but she isn't that remarkable either. People just love to jump in on the bandwagon, they probably didn't even watch the Twilight movies, just like me, but still hate her for those movies, unlike me. It's a common trend nowadays, they hate some celebrities as if they caused some personal damage to them, it's hysterical.
Amy Lee She was terrible in Snow White and the Huntsman BUT she was great in Still Alice and even held her own when she was on screen with Juliane Moore. I haven't seen Clouds of Sils Maria since it hasn't come out here in the US yet but she won a Cesar Award so she must have been excellent in that.

this has happened to my hands during a bad panic attack a couple times. the medical explanation is that she’s hyperventilating due to shock, and when too much oxygen enters the body it actually causes cramping in the muscles known as tetany! it’s most common in the hands and face. from personal experience, it’s terrifying. i hope this incident educates people of different signs of severe anxiety so that they can react more appropriately to the situation. much love to kristen for being a total freakin badass. i wouldn’t be able to talk about this on conan.

Other comments say it but "the French guy" is a well known rapper, JoeyStarr, with all the usual baggage, at some point there was talk of banning his music as it incited violence against the police amongst other things, he has been in front of courts for violence several times, he used to sport a golden bridge on his upper teeth making him look really mean, etc.
More recently though he has morphed into a decent dramatic actor, and has in fact himself been nominated two times for a César. He's far from dumb and has been in relationships with several prominent actresses/directors, seen at the table of the French president, etc.
JoeyStarr can also be a funny guy, and it's what he's doing to Kristen. Of course without understanding anything of the ceremony, and being shaken by the win, it flew over her head.
César was a noted French sculptor who created the design for the award.

The guy who handed her the trophee is called Joey Starr. He's known for being aggressive as fuck and he likes to mess with people. He's easily pissed off, has a very high self esteem and a low sense of humor, which is pretty sad considering his police record.

He first went to jail for "outrageous lyrics" inciting hatred, another time for attacking a female air steward which ended up with a head trauma, he then attacked his ex-girlfriend, then was fined because his pitbull tried to eat an old lady's dog, he then attacked a monkey, then spat on officers of the military... it goes on and on and on it's the best shit ever.

We all know Joey Starr can be really rude but...The scene was perceived (I mean by french viewers in front of their TV) as a voluntary refusal to take the price or to be in contact with him... I feel for kristen for being nervous. I think that is the first time she is being appreciated by other than mtv popcorn. Hope she continues to grow as an actor. So much more she can do yet so many people discredit her talent before they watch her.

I love her and how her career is going. She will definitely have the best career out of the Twilight people. Lautner hasn't done anything big and Pattinson's few movies have bombed. He hasn't worked in over a year! Kristen will have made 10 movies since Twilight this year and all the released ones have earned her rave reviews and much respect, Don't forget she was Julianne Moore's scene partner in Still Alice too!
