South Alabama Beekeeping- Feed & Winter Prep time! Aug 4, 2024

We are feeding the bees today and storing honey super boxes as well as unused deep boxes for winter. Comb is the beekeepers gold and it must be stored well to keep out those pesky wax moths!
Feeding the bees in my apiary means we have a few months of dearth and even though I leave some honey on the colonies to help get them through dearth and winter when no nectar is flowing, I still feed them to maintain weight and health.
With a little help from friends and heroes, we get that accomplished today!
