She is Dutch. Dutch people are down to earth people. She is very humble and kind indeed, even though there is no vocalist on the planet that comes close to her level.
IKR, she is very humble and so respectfull to others, Henk Poort who she sings with in the very first clip phantom of the opera is her childhood inspiration and idol, so imagine how lovely it was for he to sing with him
Seems as if mist people from the Netherlands region are nice. Floor is a great talent and I agree she can her her voice to sing what ever she wants.

Unfortunately, this sometimes works against their own interest but that's a whole different discussion.
The greatest moment in the musical career of Tuomas Holopainen was when he decided to invite Floor to the band. No disrespect to Tarja, whom is a world class musician in her own right, but Floor has brought so much life to Nightwish.
And between 2006 and 2012 there was the dry spell that knocked the band almost into insignificance. They are really, REALLY lucky to get another singer just as good as Tarja again.

We are so lucky to be around to see floor in her prime, at this very moment I believe she is unsurpassed as a rock and metal singer /vocalist. She really is a gift to the world. And as amazing as she is in her side projects /solo and guest appearances it is as nightwish's singer and front woman where she really is at her absolute best. I'm in awe of her live nightwish art... ❤️

There's only a handful of vocalists that can make the hair on my arms stand up and send shivers up my spine EVERY TIME I hear them sing. Floor Jansen is definitely one of them. Her singing is just flawless and amazing.
I didn't know who Floor Jansen was until a few months ago...but damn...she's got the pipes to do anything she wants...simple as that.

There isn't a single adjective in the English language to describe how insane Floor's vocal technique is! Even within a single song she can implement so many vocal styles... The way she is able to project her head voice is unbelievable also!

When I was younger I admired rock stars that were "out of control" but Floor is on another level that is almost too "normal" but I admire and adore her more than any other "rock mentor/idol" I've ever had.

I love Floor’s voice but calling anyone the best singer is subjective and not everyone will ever agree. With that said, I will say I think she is in the top 10 singers alive.

....and on top of this, she can also write music and play at least guitar and piano. And she is a humble woman still, not wanting to compare or compete with other singers, because she respects all of them too much.
Loved this composition to show Floor and oh yes, she is the best, no one else comes even close to her and the range she has.
I've listened to hundreds of "vocalists" from the last 100 years in all genres of music and Floor is without a doubt probably the best I have heard. The emotion she brings with those amazing vocals is second to none.

As well as Floor, you have many great singers to choose from; Glennis Grace, Berget Lewis, Jenny Lena just to name only a few. Your The Voice Holland contests are overflowing with great talent, and not only female either(Dwight Dissels, Leon Sherman etc etc). I wish I had taken a European discharge in 1965 from the American Army. I would still be living in Holland.
Don't forget Simone Simons (Epica), Charlotte Wessels (Delain), Sharon den Adel (Within Temptation). All great female vocalists from The Netherlands. Yes I am Dutch too. 😊 But Floor is #1 of course.
Floor can sing anything and half the time the tears start up. He voice just grabs my heart and gives it a big hug and then I am crying. My wife thinks I am a loon, but this lady is the most incredible singer I have ever heard. Never change Floor, you are loved by so many.

Simply the best of the best of her generation.
What I find remarkable is how generous she is when performing with Nightwish; first thing she does after giving a stellar vocal performance singing "Ghost Love Score" at Wacken is to credit the equally stellar performance of the drummer. She was also happy to be the backing vocals to Marco with "The Islander" at Tanmere (?) and applauded him while he walked back to the main stage laughing heartily at his mischievous switching up vocals at the end of the song forcing her to adapt.

'About love I don't know a thing' is not country, but has a kind of 'country vibe' so yeah, she could sing country if she wanted... Or chinese hip hop, I'm convinced she can do everyrhing.

The most astonishing thing about it, is that it was Floor and Marcel Fisser band who arrange it to sound like that and the original doesn't sound as much as a country song.

Even the much-loved Tarja started copying the Floor style because Tarja’s solo career didn’t go as great after Nightwish and Floor’s popularity skyrocketed and surpassed Tarja already in 2016!

I've given Floor lots of superlatives since I first heard her in Nightwish, but I'm going with Agimus78 this time. He says it all so succinctly.
Floor could sing any genre....she also has trained and honed her instrument to continue singing at a high level for potentially the rest of her life. Others, like Adele has damaged her instrument shortening and limiting her abilities.
Both floor and Nightwish are incredible ! My brother and had the chance to catch them live in our neck of the woods in Toronto back in 2018!0
