The ideal solution to this modern age / digital age issue would be to tie the voting right to an official test. So everybody must prove a basic knowledge of politics and recent major events regarding to politics. If you fail the test, your vote doesn't count.

Naw, it's lazy. Obama's campaign was extremely smart. Dems tend to be walking pablum monsters. You saw it with the Mayor Pete interview and the lady on his panel. The sound like poll tested robots who aren't organically interested in what they're doing. At the very least, even though Obama pushed a bunch of cliche themes, his delivery came off as human, someone you thought you could connect to naturally.
Fighting fire with fire is barbaric, and should be a last resort. We just need to be smart and creative.
