My brother was in Magee Rehabilitation center, The same time that Teddy was in there, Teddy Pendergrass was a very nice guy, His room was right next to my brothers, I took care of my brother for 9 years, Until he passed away, His name was David Kniffin, My mom was married 2 times, That is why we both have different last names. I forget what year it was, BUT on New Year's Eve one of Teddy Pendergrass body bodyguards ask me if I would go and get Teddy a couple bottles of champagne, I went in to see Mr. Pendergrass, And I proceeded to get him his champagne to celebrate the New Year coming in, I want to get his champagne from some state store on race street, And I came back and gave Mr. Penagrast the champagne, And his bodyguard went to tip me a $100 bill, And I told Mr. Pendergrass keep the money happy New Year, So I went back to my brother's room, And Teddy's bodyguard came back in and and said teddy would like to see me and my brother, And we had a toast of champagne to bring the New Year in, Very nice gentleman.
Teddy Pendergrass donated a lot of money to mcgee rehabilitation center, He is a very generous man, And he came back after the accident to make some beautiful music.
Could have been the Philadelphia Black Mafia as well. They were heavily extorted musicians back in that Era, according to the FBI. Black Mafia was also reported to be involved in killing Teddy girlfriend Taaz Lang. Teddy also found multiple cars with the brake lines cut.
I recall (from stories, I was too young when it happened), but I remember the brake Lines were reportly cut on multiple cars. But, we can’t say it was rhe police. If it was an officer involved, they weren’t ordered to do so, so they shouldn’t get the blame (narrative). It was an individual who didn’t like the fact that a Negro had that kind of money. Then, there were black organizations that extorted artists. It continues today, the gangs. A lot of BIG ARTISTS, pay taxes to the specific gangs, who are black. So racism ….. hmmmmm… it’s always the story!
Teddy went on to sing at Live Aid 1999 .No one knew he was going to be there, when he came on the crowd went wild , my comment is right next to my other one. TEDDY went on and donated 50 million to build a new wing to the hospital and to find a cure for Paralysis that is $50,000,000.00. I also every Friday I would bring in a case of beer for the patients and also run to the state store and pick up the patients their drink of choice just to bring joy in their lives. Everyone would ask my brother when is John coming in. During the summer time I would tell all the patients who wanted to go out get a day pass and i would keep everything in order get the booze , roll the joints, get the food, get us all in the bar , it was alot of work but i wanted to bring some joy in their lives. I sometimes would have a train of not exaggerating 10 - 15 men and women in wheelchairs ready to have a good time. I had a blast with these people and stayed friends with them for years. My brother passed away God bless his soul , But those disabled men and women will remember that kind stranger (Me - JOHN YERKOV) how it was to feel human again.
Before this special came out, I met a nurse who worked at me Magee back in 1982 when this accident happened. He was telling me how Teddy refused to get in the wheelchair for a good minute. At first I didn't believe the guy until this special mentioned it. Also, I believe this was a set up and somebody was trying to kill Mr. Pendergrass.
I wonder did the Philiadephia police do a feel investigation? What kind of condition was the car in prior to him driving? How did he get to the studio? Was in that car or did he drive another vehicle? Something isn't adding up right here.
