I know it’s getting real when the updates start pushing 20 minutes followed with livestreams or secondary updates. Thanks for your dedication and taking time to keep us updated and educated along the way.
“A nightmare for forecasters”. That’s the puget sound! Thank you for your dedication. I live in a rural area surrounded by woods in foothills of Mt. Rainier. Your forecasts are a daily routine because here weather matters.
Yes,yes, you do. But Western Oregon is in a huge snow deficit. We haven't had to shut down I-5 this WHOLE year. I am hoping both of our prayers are answered. (in feet of snow😂)
People who use "bridge words" lile uhh or umms are generally people who know a lot and searching for the correct word to explain it to you 😂. Look it up!
I jack up the playback speed for Michael's videos, unbeknownst to my husband. Then I have him watch with me and he says, "wow, Michael's REALLY excited. Means we're getting snow." I get to laughing so hard.
Michael - Dude! You nailed it. I'm just west of Granite Falls, east of Marysville, and it is 8:30PM Friday and the winds just switched to out of the North, and the precipitation has become mixed with occational large flakes. So it is definately coming and you said it would start around 9PM. We are at slightly over 500 ft elevation here. This is why I tell everyone to listen to your channel when they are looking for snow reports. I can't believe it has only been three years. I would have said I've been watching your channel longer than that. Great Job. Keep it up
Doing two loads of laundry early just in case the snow brings power outages. Thanks for covering Kelso, it gets forgotten by the two big cities north and south of us.
It's been snowing here since 6:AM. Hello from Summerville Oregon in the Blue Mountain region. After a long dry spell, and an usually warm afternoon yesterday, the sun is gone and the snow is blowing. The upside is those low temperatures kept our snow pack intact. Thanks Michael.
I watch several different TH-cam channels addressing the weather. But yours is by far the best I’ve ever seen! You do such super deep dive analyses. Likely the only reason you don’t have more subscribers is because you focus mainly on the Northwest weather and not the entire country. Regardless, I look forward to your daily broadcast. Let it snow!!!!
Hi Michael! I will take what comes. I shopped yesterday and have what I need for the next week or more. Not a great fan of snow, buy it usually only stays on the ground for a few days in Sedro Woolley. 🌺🌲🌺
Thank you for what you provide all us PNW folks! I just wish there was someone of your technical caliber similarly focussed on SW Oregon-NW California...but I am a dedicated follower, and again thank you!
lol! My elderly parents are freaking out, so is my brother who moved to WA from the East Coast, but our family watches you & we keep them updated! They keep asking us how are you all so accurate? We keep giving them your TH-cam channel, but they keep listening to the local weather man who is CONSISTENTLY WRONG 🤣😂🤣 and SO WRONG! Thank you so much, we appreciate you SO MUCH!! We are prepared for whatever! Currently at 8:00am Saturday morning Brush Prairie WA (near Hockinson/Vancouver WA) we had a beautiful sunrise, it’s chilly but clear, blue skies! We are taking advantage of the of the this calm before the rain/snow comes in - getting some winter chores done on the homestead! Yesterday we had heavy rains on/off just like you said!! Although PDX weather predicted heavy snow beginning yesterday afternoon/last night. My parents begged us not to go to the store 😂! We told them actually better get it done FRIDAY! Again thank you, we always appreciate your updates & love your live streams! Everyone stay warm & HAVE FUN AND ENJOY THE SNOW IF YOU GET IT!
Looks to be a few inches in the lake tapps to bonney lake area.. im at top of a hill 654ft elavation about 125 feet above lake level..should be interesting to see what unfolds.
Going to get walloped here in Jordan River. Heavy rain right now, and winds forecast to 100kph overnight tonight. Should be an interesting few days. Thanks for your excellent forecasting Amigo
Keep applying the "KISS METHOD" Mike. You'll continue seeing success with your channel. Your viewers , myself included appreciate this. Enjoy your cool and snowy weekend !
"Ridiculous amounts of snow"❄❄❄❄☃☃☃ 🎶MUSIC TO MY EARS!🎼 Very happy to be at 650' in these events. I'm in Boring, 38 miles from Government Camp. Love the models showing the snow in the Cascades creeping West towards me. Fingers crossed. Thank you Michael
Quite a beautiful morning Michael here in Ephrata, we've had roughly. .02 hundredths of an inch of freezing rain and no snow so just like the rest of the winter it under performed and didn't disappoint because you can't really even trust the radar cause several times this morning it was showing snow south to Moses Lake but freezing rain was all we could muster so maybe next week we will see some snow in Grant County possibly, thank you for your complete weather analysis Michael ❤
Island county? Humm. I lived in Coupeville Wa until 2015 and had my nose pressed to the window every winter hoping for a Big snow to no luck. Now down in Philomath Or. It the same thing. I refuse to move out east. I come from there(Maryland bet you don't know many from there) and never want to return.😊 Thanks You are making it fun again😅.
We have nearly a foot of snow so far today and still snowing heavy here in the West Kootenay of BC. We are about 150 miles north of Spokane Washington. Kootenay Pass is expecting a couple of feet of snow by this evening.
Nothing but rain in Spokane. We are waiting for snow. This winter so far has been a real disappointment. Hopefully the snow will come. Thanks for your hard work and. At 2pm we have 38 degrees and light rain.
I'm at 1.05" of rain here in Gig Harbor since last night at 8pm when it started. The vort max is moving right over us now, lots of heavy rain. Thanks for all you do Michael. :)
Heyyy Michael. Central Vancouver Island here.. I got a surprise at 2:30 am 😮 when I got up to take the puppy/dog out for a pee and found a half inch of snow on my outdoor portable gazebo! I had to get my toque and gloves on and remove the roof so it wouldn't collapse the frame, like the last four 😂. Because I live at sea level, I guess it was "lake snow", cuz it was wet and soppy, as it is most times at 17 meters above sea level. ! Looking forward to some actual snow. Thanks for all your great work. ✌️🇨🇦🏝
Hi Mike, Did I see 63 Degrees down in Medford this morning? In Newport it's 54. Nature should not be playing games with us down here. As for the models, since this past week, everyday the forecasts past 5 days have been flip flopping, so, as for next week after Tuesday, I'll wait a few days before deciding which forecast I'll believe. Speaking of which, the 6-10 , 8-14 and February's long range forecasts are out today. given the above mentioned, I'm not quite sure why the NWS is so firm on believing we'll be getting super cold and super wet, especially for the monthly outlook. Maybe for Eastern Washington but a big question mark for Western Oregon. As you well know , the longer that arctic low is stuck out over the Pacific , the more the air mass will moderate, so any snow forecast for the Oregon coast, I'm ignoring for later next week. As always, great job with your analysis.
That's an interesting gradation of US temps coming up -- Colder in the NW, Warmer in the SE. This would be a nice time to be in Florida (if you don't like cold).
So the TriCities will not have snow? I wish you would include us in your reporting. I realize you live in western Washington, but please include us too. Thanks
hey Michael Chris here from van island really enjoy your cast subscribed about a yr ago trying to get your subs up over 100K telling everyone I know to get on it ...Cheers
I subscribed last winter because our news comes from Portland as usual they are wrong. Could you please tell me how long this snow and cold will last. Also, yesterday, it said our temperature would be 40 in the morning. How is it possible to have frost. Thanks
I wish you would pay us a bit of attention in the south half of Oregon. It’s bad enough to be ignored by the state government but by our favorite weather guy, now that hurts.
LOWER VISIBILITIES, Not White Out Conditions for West of the Cascades, thought I should clarify that better!
Michael's excitement for the weather in the PNW is unmatched. You can hear it when these storms approach, he is doing something he loves
It's almost like listening to a sporting event 😎
You nailed it!
Thank you for the frequent updates on these systems! Way better than our local news cast!
I know it’s getting real when the updates start pushing 20 minutes followed with livestreams or secondary updates. Thanks for your dedication and taking time to keep us updated and educated along the way.
Best❄️subscription ever - no more opening front door & exclaiming "What the ????"
🎶Let in Snow! Let it Snow! 🎶🌨 ❄🌨❄
You’re a natural at this Michael. Best weather forecast by far.
Great place to check your weather info. for the Pacific Northwest
“A nightmare for forecasters”. That’s the puget sound! Thank you for your dedication. I live in a rural area surrounded by woods in foothills of Mt. Rainier. Your forecasts are a daily routine because here weather matters.
WE NEED THE SNOW HERE IN WASHINGTON STATE!
Yes,yes, you do.
But
Western Oregon is in a huge snow deficit.
We haven't had to shut down I-5 this WHOLE year.
I am hoping both of our prayers are answered. (in feet of snow😂)
It's crazy how fast and confidently he speaks without any hesitations or uhh's or umm's like whatsoever haha

I jack up the playback speed for Michael's videos, unbeknownst to my husband. Then I have him watch with me and he says, "wow, Michael's REALLY excited. Means we're getting snow." I get to laughing so hard.
My go to weather dude! Thank you!! Accurate, nuff said! The only weather forecast you’ll need for the Pacific Northwest and beyond 🙏👏
I live just outside Portland and really appreciate you.
Wow, crazy weather coming. Thank you for keeping us informed. Your forecast is better than the local news media!

The snow forecast in Spokane was a bust:only a little sleet then freezing rain very early. Some snow north and east of Metro area, though.
These marginal events are so tough. Appreciate you breaking these downs once (or more) per day!
We had a lite dusting of snow early am, currently zero snowfall, increasing winds & 25 degrees. NE central Wa at the 3681 ft level
Keep applying the "KISS METHOD" Mike. You'll continue seeing success with your channel. Your viewers , myself included appreciate this. Enjoy your cool and snowy weekend !

The two Ds
Definitely first snowfall of the season! Definitely not a snowless winter.
Here in Vancouver BC
We have nearly a foot of snow so far today and still snowing heavy here in the West Kootenay of BC. We are about 150 miles north of Spokane Washington. Kootenay Pass is expecting a couple of feet of snow by this evening.

Nothing but rain in Spokane. We are waiting for snow. This winter so far has been a real disappointment. Hopefully the snow will come. Thanks for your hard work and. At 2pm we have 38 degrees and light rain.
Big snowfall in the BC southern interior today. Close to 12" and still coming. Temp holding steady close to
0 celcius so far...
I'm at 1.05" of rain here in Gig Harbor since last night at 8pm when it started. The vort max is moving right over us now, lots of heavy rain. Thanks for all you do Michael. :)
As a transplanted New Englander, I never cease to be amazed by how a remote possibility of snow causes some PNW folks to shriek.

It's Friday 31st West Spokane. There was freezing rain this morning. It has turned to rain all day. Really coming down now at sunset.

2 feet of snow in Portland! Just kidding. That low spinning off the coast looks like fun for here though. Let’s make that happen.
Here we go snow soon
My son in navy in pearl harbor one of his guys went hunting Sunday and got trapped because of flash flooding got back late till Monday
I wish you would pay us a bit of attention in the south half of Oregon. It’s bad enough to be ignored by the state government but by our favorite weather guy, now that hurts.
