The Dr. George Charity Car Show put on by the Palm Springs Cruisin' Association. It was held at Indian Wells Tennis Garden. This show benefits the Desert Cancer Foundation. Over 1,000 classic cars, muscle cars, hot rods, exotics, pickups, lowriders, antique autos, and other vehicles of interest were on display.

What’s notable about that ‘78 Corvette pace car is that it’s the 25th anniversary of Corvette…although not necessarily a “25th Anniversary Edition” and certainly not the best era for Corvette, in general.
*When I was 15, the brother in law of my friend up the street came home with a new 25th anniversary Corvette…we had just recently seen Corvette Summer at the theater and were ecstatic, haha!

I wonder if anyone here has a photo of a jockey called Postie, he was still around in the 50s/60s.
He'd been an excellent jockey until he fell from his horse and received brain damage.
He used to describe people as mares, fillies, geldings and stallions. I've just written a short story about him and would love to add a photo of him to it. Also, any memories of him would be nice, he was a colourful character. 😊😊

It was very crowded as it's a well known event in that area. Fortunately the entry fees and tickets go to cancer charities.
