- Before Pizza Tower Guy worked on Pizza Tower, he was working on a game called: Weenie Cop.
This game had a Tumblr page that was soon turned into a Pizza Tower Tumblr, The Weenie Cop posts are still up: / wienerdontusedrugs
The build is pretty unfinished especially the boss.

And it’s cool that the two characters appear as enemys in GOLF/Peppibot factory.
And the Sausage Toppin has a taunt which references the Weenie Cop, down to the coat and hat.

And it also might explain why the weenie enemy appeared quite a bit during the development of pizza tower, being one of the first enemies from the first build too!

there's something very oddly inspiring on this game... maybe the thought that from this very janky and slow and somewhat barebones game came something so good as is pizza tower
Pizza Tower in its earliest demos were just as janky as this. It just so happened that Pizza Tower got more attraction thus more testers could contribute to changing mechanics and the movement
Is cool but disturbing that the "foods" that Weenie has to collect for points are literal HUMAN FINGERS

Pizza Massacre has Peppino and Weenie Cop had Pizza Tower's game concept.
Essentially he fused two elements and then spent 5 years working on making that into a real game and not just a Wario land 4 homage.
I'd kill to see weenie cop return as a playable character

what if weenie cop wasn't just a "first game" but actually what BECAME pizza tower?
that sounds kinda weird but I have reason to think so,
after looking through both weenie cops files and the pizza tower dev history, I noticed a LOT of similarities in ideas
peppino was originally going to have a "shinespark like mode" that functions similarly to the peppers here
there was going to be a car transformation that basically has SUPER similar animations
if I remember, I think there were some sprites for peppino shooting his gun, that show it functioning similar to the one in weenie cop
I could be 100% wrong but I thought the similarities were pretty interesting at the least
The only problem in this theory is: What about the pizza massacre prototype? It was completely different, yet that turned into pizza tower

@@henryd3bby in there there is a pizzacutter chainsaw and in the final game there was supossed to be a chaindaw movement super similar to that one. All the sprites have been deleted since the last patreon build of it but buggy remnants of how it worked are still present in the game
Cool theory, but McPig's old tumblr posts seem to make it pretty clear they were separate projects. Plus, it isn't that far-fetched to think that older projects influenced Pizza Tower in some ways. Happens all the time in art with artists.

The art style is still similiar but different as well. This looks more like a genesis game with the idle animation being very simple and enemies looking very cartoonish. It's very subtle but this looks less "made in MS Paint" than Pizza Tower. Not saying one is better than the other, i am just pointing out how interesting it looks

This is a very early version or the game with low physics and not so much sprites and weird design level and only music but if they continue they can make a cool game

because some of these mechanics were incorporated later in pt's development???
at the time, ptg was just experimenting a bit on how the game should play, before settling on something that worked
