I usually work as 3d generalist in advertising where videos have to be FAST & attention grabbing, but with a film like this the right pacing is so important. It's such a great learning experience for me as both a 3d generalist AND director, which is one of the main reasons why I'm making it in the first place. 2. RELEASE DATE: I initially said I HOPE to get the short film finished some time next year, but that's certainly not the case any more due to both the increased length & me having been busier with freelance work & life than anticipated throughout the year. The craziest part is they didn’t _just_ capture the accuracy of the art style or the voices.. They literally have the humor and _X-factor_ charm of TCW and the other shows! *BRILLIANT!*
At 0:15 I just noticed that after he asks “why the long face?” A battle droid in the background starts touching it’s face like “is my face really *that* long?” Love the detail put into this. Fantastic Job to everyone who worked/ is working on this project!
Sometimes when I'm feeling down, I rewatch this video and that interaction always gets a chuckle from me. It's why I love Star Wars: it's always fun and funny.

I think this proves how much fans overwhelmingly love the clones and the animated series' from Clone Wars to Bad Batch and want more. I can't wait for the whole story. I wish the bean counters at Disney had the vision or hired people like High Ground Animations to do official shows/ shorts/ movies/ anything like this.
Even if this project never comes to fruition, and even if the actual film doesn't live up to the expectations, this trailer alone is a master piece. Top notch art direction.
I wouldn't be surprised if you get hired by Lucasfilm/Disney to work on something official. As this was masterfully done. The flow of the action, jokes, and the overall animation of these character's, truly captured the feeling of watching The Clone Wars!

But what amazes me the most is how you have managed to replicate the clone wars color grading and directing style. You nailed the Clone Wars esthetic and art-style. I just watch the 'Battle of the Heroes' Animation that Hello There made, and while of course it's an amazing animation and I really enjoyed it. It didn't quite felt like an official clone wars episode, something felt a bit odd. However, I must admit that this trailer just made me feel like I was watching the bad batch, it's THAT good.
This is easily the best animated Star Wars shortfilm I have ever seen. Most short films try to go to this form of realism that comes off is extremely creepy and eerie, but this perfectly captures the show just by straight up copying it, and I love it!

I wouldn’t say to shame considering how visually stunning bad batch is. The animation here is as good as season 7 though I’d say! But I think putting them to shame is harsh

This is by far one of the best fan animations I've seen the lighting and the textures are on point exactly in the art style of the clone wars.

The only reason I can tell this isn’t from an episode I forgot about are the voices. That is a massive compliment towards your animation and masterful capturing of the clone wars feel
But even the voices are very close. Tukk and the battle droids especially.

As someone who watched The Clone Wars Series since it came out and have been watching The Bad Batch since it came out, I can blatantly say that this is literally one of the best fan animations in this style that I have literally ever seen- you have a talent and I am literally so glad that you are sharing it because now I am obsessed 😩❤️

You nailed the Clone Wars esthetic and art-style. I just watch the 'Battle of the Heroes' Animation that Hello There made, and while of course it's an amazing animation and I really enjoyed it. It didn't quite felt like an official clone wars episode, something felt a bit odd. However, I must admit that this trailer just made me feel like I was watching the bad batch, it's THAT good.
This is easily the best animated Star Wars shortfilm I have ever seen. Most short films try to go to this form of realism that comes off is extremely creepy and eerie, but this perfectly captures the show just by straight up copying it, and I love it!
