Absolutely gorgeous, Laurel! My garden is looking like a jungle with all the growth from the rain we've been having. Now, if it would just stop for the next 10 days as the peony buds open, I'd be a happy camper!
I love all the moisture but yes I could use a short break from it to get a few more things done. Though it is nice to have a real spring instead of going from cold to 90 like the last few years!
Hi Laurel. I'm new to your channel and am also MN 5A formerly 4B. My zone 5 plants do not thrive and will not survive a polar vortex as we live on a ridge. Your gardens are beautiful. Is the "Beast" @17:21 a Pestamon?
Thank you! I think I have a somewhat insulated micro-climate in my yard being in the middle of the city. Urban warming effect. The "beast" plant is Firecracker Lysimachia. I planted it as a 1-gallon plant last summer and it is huge this year. It's a very attractive native plant but there's not enough space for it in that bed so I will be moving it to the backyard where it has room to spread out. Of course the tag grossly understated its mature size. 🙂

What a beautiful garden and all your plants are looking amazing so healthy and strong thankyou for sharing from NZ
Thank you so much! ☺️
Beautiful looking garden, Its the bees knees.
It sure is 🙂
It is fun to see what thrives in your garden compared to mine here in Chicago.
Also comparing it to my Wisconsin garden.
Thank you for watching! It is interesting to see how different our micro-climates can be, even in the same region. Or even in the same yard!
I love your hostas
Thank you! We've had so much rain this year and they are all very happy 😊
