Robbie was part of a boy band called Take That. The fans were heartbroken when he chose to leave the group. He wasn’t sure if the fans would still love him, but they did. Myself included. The song is about his mum ❤️❤️❤️

Bro the fact you was at this very concert at that time of life please count your self one of the luckiest people on earth no lie. I’d give up anything to time travel and be there wow if only!
I've shown my granddaughter 3 songs from this concert, but I've never heard of Come Undone, so I thought I'd go and check it out myself. I absolutely loved it, and I remembered that I had seen it once before when 3 guys reacted to this whole concert. Needless to say though, as far as my granddaughter is concerned, I'll give that one a miss. 😄
I've played Knebworth a couple of times (backing musician) - its usually wild but extremely well organised. Crowds of 250,000 saw Oasis in 96, this gig in 03 saw 750,000 over three days and I think another 3 million watched the live tv broadcast. No-one does festivals like the Brits.
I saw a BBC article saying 375,000 over three nights for this show, but I'm not sure how they counted. That might be unique visitors rather than per day (convention counting).
His song Feel, from this same concert, but please watch until the very end. Robbie struggled with mental health issues and has been very open about his struggles. You can see and feel the crowd give back to him so much love. It's a beautiful moment.
Robbie has been famous since he was 16 and we grew up with him and his music . The Knebworth concert saw 375,000 over three nights. Do watch his Netflix series about his life. He is amazing live .
You definitely need to watch the song "Feel" from the same concert. You will not see anything like it, such an emotional performance..... 1 for the ages 💪🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻. Brilliant thank you
I wouldn't call myself a massive Robbie Williams fan, but he's fantastic live. Years ago one of my friends had tickets to go see his show, but then she got ill on the night and couldn't go. She offered me the ticket and so I suddenly found myself there at one of the best stadium concerts I've ever been to. He's truly a brilliant entertainer. You don't even have to know his songs, I guarantee you'll have a great time anyway.
Robbie was raised not far from me, lived in a pub growing up. His father was an entertainer too, working the local pubs and clubs scene. He has achieved so much in his life but is still a humble guy with a great sense of humour. At his core he is still a bloke from Stoke !
This was televised at the time and suffice to say watching it even with not being there the electric atmosphere could have been bursting out of the tv literally! At this point this time this place and to then throw in this song that went super successful for Robbie, Robbie was just adored and like you say he definitely was appreciative and showed it. Such a great time if only we could go back.
American here. Been a HUGE fan of Robbie since his first solo album. LOVE 💕 HIM❤ You need to watch the entire concert. Someone here on TH-cam has it but missing his song Kids. You can feel the energy and love when you listen to this in the car.
I live very close to Knebworth and can remember standing in my back garden and listening to him singing this song. It was a warm summer evening and it was beautiful.
@@Isleofskye Hi, I only heard on the last day, the wind was in the right direction, but, I do remember Stevenage was almost in lockdown due to the crowds of people.
In total over three nights there were 375,000 people at Knebworth. I recall watching it on tv. Love Robbie, as other commenters have suggested, please watch the royal Albert hall concert with him, he sings swing music, it’s amazing.
This was from his first solo CD after leaving Take That! It wasn't doing that particular well until we cottoned on the track "Angels" this. was a favourite for families to play at funerals! It still is the most popular request! 🎉🎉
I wasn’t at Knebworth but I saw Robbie a couple of times. Believe me, it wasn’t just the women that knew all the words! And the thing about Robbie was that where a lot of artists, especially now, produce incredibly polished and choreographed shows - and I’m not knocking that - he could hold the stage and massive crowds with very little of that. He was an incredible showman. And the era that Angels comes from when he was writing with Guy Chambers produced so many extraordinary songs. Guys I knew took the piss out of me for liking Robbie, but he was just awesome. Loved him.
“Take that” and Robbie Williams were the “New Kids on the Block equivalent” we had in Europe. After leaving Take that, he had a tremendous solo career for another decade or so. “Angels” really was his first solo hit. Seems that in this concert it was the encore and the closure of the concert.
Absolutely loved the Knebworth concert Robbie definitely loved that moment also highly recommended watched the "swing when your winning" Tv concert he did especially his cover of Mr Bojangles and My Way.
Angels was released not long before Christmas in December of 1997. I was in my final year at university, St.Johns in York. This song was absolutely massive!! Played everywhere and you could guarantee it was always the last song of the night in clubs and bars. We all drunkenly danced, hugged and sang along. I have the most fantastic memories of this time in my life. Was also the last song of our final summer ball. ❤
Robbie was always a bit of a cheeky boy, girls, Mum's and even Dad's loved him. A great quote I was told from him....he said he had been in Take That and two of the Spice Girls!!!!!
Why this guy never broke through in the U.S. is just beyond me. Three consecutive shows at Knebworth, England on 1-3 August 2003. The three shows attracted a total of 375,000 fans, becoming the "biggest music event in British history"
Never was into the boy bands or girl bands (dancing around0, but when someone in the group goes solo career and are even more amazing, love Robbie (Mel C also) . Their apprehension and doubts on whether they have fans who will still love them must be unbelievable. My appreciation on their courage and talent .
Knebworth was special, by UK standards it was truly next level. Everybody was there for him, nobody else. This was just Robbie being Robbie and by Gods he pulled it off. They released this as a DVD, well worth it.
Hi M&J, Wasn't a Robbie fan but absolutely adore this song & this live performance.....He played 3 nights here to an overall crowd of 375,000, Love your Reactions 🇺🇸💚🇬🇧✌️👍

I think everyone in Britain knows the words to Angels❤ Also, a fun fact, Robbie has a tattoo tribute to his childhood heroes The Two Ronnies on his neck, their iconic glasses motif 👋

I was there (on one of the nights, there were 3!). I wouldn't usually arrive so early, but my sister was warned how bad traffic was getting in, so we arrived at 7am, for doors at midday. The only people in front of us were some women who followed him around Europe and used to hang outside his hotels... As they opened the gates to the field they played the Benny Hill theme tune (a very British reference), and we all RAN! It felt like a slo-mo scene from a war film as people shouted to their companions to 'Run! Don't wait for me! (Save yourself!)'. My sister and I made it to the front, and didn’t move (no food, drink or toilet) from that spot until he finished at 10.30pm. He started at 8. Then it took us 4 hours to get out of the car park! I couldn't do it again (I was 20 at the time, so my young legs could handle it), but it was so worth it. Having been a Take That fan of old, he was incredible. 4 years before, we'd seen him in a very small venue, a few months before Angels came out and made him massive as a solo artist. Whether it was in Southampton Guildhall, or Knebworth, or Wembley Arena inbetween, he always put on a great show. I'd really recommend watching the whole show if you can.
😍 Shivers down my spine and tears in my eyes- reminds me of an angel who stood by me through a desperate time in my life - I hope she knows - I will never forget her and what she did 😢
I first saw Robbie in a club in Blackpool with the band Take That. He was about 16 at the time after leaving the band he had many hits. His statement at the beginning could have been related to his well documented drug addiction. He made a comeback and got huge support, he's now married with children and homes in LA and London.
Growing up in the 70s and 80s with recorded cassetts from radio shows was the greatest. Sitting and waiting till the song comes and to talk about it next day in school. We all listend to the same stations. There wasn't many. And then to wait, sometime over a year, for a concert, with moderate ticket prices, was the greatest. And in summer mosley were open air. By sun, wind, rain whatever the weather was when that special someone came on stage it was magic. No phones. Maybe a camera with a shitty zoom. But it was fun. We had in the 90s a two day concert over the weekend from 12 midday to 12 o clock night. Sorr i'm german. We have 24 hour clock. There was Prince, Eurithmics, John Farnham, Joe Cocker , Tina Turner and so many more. A few years later it was a 3 day festival. 3 day in the rain and it was fantastic. I was in many concerts but that was something special. If you watch that again lock how the fans are focused on Robbie. No meddlin with phones. Robbie had a big sucess with Take That. He was the youngest and sadly the wildest from them. Drugs and alcohol and girls everywhere. They had fights in the group and Robbie got out. Thinking he can be sucessful alone. But the drugs and alcohol did him no good service. Angels was his break through. That too is why it is so amazing to watch Knebworth. If you want check out his swing concert and album. He really is a entertainer.
I wasn`t at this one but Knebworth is always magic. Its held in the grounds of stately home ,Knebworth House, Hertfordshire. Saw Lynyrd Skynyrd , also the Stones and a few more in the 70`s and 80`s
Angels is one of the most popular funeral songs in the UK.Also, British people, especially in crowds, love to sing along, especially to slow songs. Lovely to find a new crush- a girl can always dream!😍
You should watch Robbie doing "Feel" from the same event. It was so emotional. Guarantee Jess would need the tissues. Robbie was very vulnerable at this stage in life
Knebworth Park can certainly hold more people than any stadium in the UK. I saw Queen there the year after Live Aid so 1986 and apparently there were 250,000 people in the audience.
It's an absolute tune. A proper end of the party/wedding reception tune. Up & down the UK, you'll find us in a circle, arms linked, singing our hearts out, regardless of who you are or your musical taste. Everyone knows the words.
I just watched "Come Undone" from the same concert just because so many people in your comments section recommended it, and now I can see why, the song is quite good and the video is a must see, as are Feel, and She's The One from the same concert. Feel is a great song.
Robbie is so Diverse he is incredible, Part of Take That Group , then wen solo but so Diverse, check out Robbie in the the Royal Albert hall singing My Way awesome 💙❤💙❤
About time 😂😂 Robbie is a real cheeky chap . A uk icon true all round entertainer. If you get the chance you should watch his documentary he just made will tell you all ya need to noooo about him .. . Truly a great and must watch NETFLIX 4 PART DOCUMENTARY aired 2023
king Robbie!!!!!!!!! he's amazing! been to 3 concerts of him in 3 different countries. flew just for him! you must react to the FULL Knebworth concert! if you have to choose - let me entertain you / feel! from another concert - check him out at Live 8 2005! 15 min performance. if you want a different and classier Robbie you must react to him at The Royal Albert Hall 2001! he peformed swing songs only. MAGICAL! react to any of them but pls do! loved your reaction! and his smile and eyes are even more beautiful today. I LOVE ROBBIE. ps: the knebworth concert was held 3 nights with 125,000 people each nights! Robbie still holds the record attendance of 375,000 fans over three nights! it was never broke!
Robbie Williams - My Way live the Royal Albert Hall in 2001. That whole concert was great, all the Swing songs from Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr, Dean Martin, among others. I also recommend his cover of Irish singer Joe Dolan - Good Looking Woman from The Aviva in 2017. I recommend listening to Joe Dolan first, this song is played at every Irish wedding reception
It's always interesting when you get an artist who is so massive at some stage in a country and then others aren't sure if they've heard it or not, to many Brits of a certain age will have heard this song for 25+ years. Robbie was in Take That, a 90s (although like most boy bands they've reunited) boy band. Kind of like the British Backstreet Boys. Robbie was always in the papers for drinking too much, snorting too much etc. He's since commented that he'd probably have fit into more urban bands at the time. Anyway he spun off had some singles that never really smashed but Angels, was easily the most played song on the radio that year. You couldn't escape it. It's one of those songs that even if you don't really like his music, you know this song and the lyrics.
YES!! To the video and because you haven't gone away! So pleased you are still reacting. I must admit I got a little upset 😥when I saw your video a couple of days ago. Please do more Robbie live. I'm positive you will enjoy it. Thank you.✌❤🇬🇧
I was there on the 2nd (Saturday) night, and over the 3 days 375,000 people attended. I was quite a bit behind the 2nd screen, and turned around to see as many people behind me as in front. Of course, the support acts weren't too sloppy either. We had Moby, Was not Was and - unfortunately - the darkness. Definitely one of the better days in my life
When you watch and feel the energy and adrenaline coming off the crowd you can totally understand why rock stars fall into drug addiction and alcoholism. Imagine coming off a stage like that and the adoration to just your dressing room or hotel room is such a come down for even the most level headed person.
"SHE'S THE ONE" live at the same concert is a must also..
More robbie!!! An absolute legend. Famous all over the world. King of pop in the late 90s and early 2000s

I love this song and this video always gives me goosebumps. And I've watched it thousands of times. Robbies charisma is the size of a whole universe.

In Germany too❤😊

Drugs and alcohol and girls everywhere.
They had fights in the group and Robbie got out. Thinking he can be sucessful alone.
But the drugs and alcohol did him no good service.
Angels was his break through. That too is why it is so amazing to watch Knebworth.
If you want check out his swing concert and album. He really is a entertainer.
This was the last song at every wedding I went to back then!
Great song. I was always surprised that he didn't get a bigger American audience during his heyday.
Americans didn't 'get' ABBA, early Motown, Jimi Hendrix, many other black musicians etc, etc, etc.
Such an amazing entertainer. Huge in Europe, and could not get arrested in the US. "Feel" from the same show is great as well.
The whole Knebworth concert is worth a watch.
In 2003 at Knebworth House, Robbie Williams headlined at the main stage over a three-day period, drawing crowds of over 375,000
I was there, the atmosphere was incredible ❤❤
I wasn`t at this one but Knebworth is always magic. Its held in the grounds of stately home ,Knebworth House, Hertfordshire. Saw Lynyrd Skynyrd , also the Stones and a few more in the 70`s and 80`s
You both need to do him doing "Me and my Monkey" from this concert - you will luv it!!
He is amazing. I love him. Incredible voice.
Angels is one of the most popular funeral songs in the UK.Also, British people, especially in crowds, love to sing along, especially to slow songs. Lovely to find a new crush- a girl can always dream!😍
Robbie Legend ❤
I was there it was amazing
You should watch Robbie doing "Feel" from the same event. It was so emotional. Guarantee Jess would need the tissues. Robbie was very vulnerable at this stage in life
I just felt like I was 13 again watching that 😂😂😂 he’s so good looking yeah that smile ❤
Same concert ‘Me and my monkey’. 👍🏼
You really need to see more of Robbie at Knebworth. Great reactions. Glad to see you back.
Robbie is so Diverse he is incredible, Part of Take That Group , then wen solo but so Diverse, check out Robbie in the the Royal Albert hall singing My Way awesome 💙❤💙❤

MAGICAL!
react to any of them but pls do! loved your reaction! and his smile and eyes are even more beautiful today.
You'll never know how globally huge robbie was
Get down his rabbit hole especially live
cheers both.
Watch 'Come Undone' from this concert at Knebworth. It'll blow your minds.
‘Come Undone’
Definitely one of the better days in my life
A British hero, well loved
When you watch and feel the energy and adrenaline coming off the crowd you can totally understand why rock stars fall into drug addiction and alcoholism. Imagine coming off a stage like that and the adoration to just your dressing room or hotel room is such a come down for even the most level headed person.
The UK has some fantastic festivals like this
Over 3 days he played to just over 375000 fans
god bless you guys, thats all i can say. god BLESS you
