For the life of me, I don't get how people who grew up fishing right hand spinning reels, do not migrate to left hand bait casters. Instead they switch back and forth all day, casting with their strong right hand/arm, then switch back to reel in. No need with a left handed conventional.

I'm considering this reel (non line counter) as my first sturgeon reel. How has the reel held up so far?
The new tekota is flawless so far. Lots of Sturgeon, salmon, and bottom fish.
I caught a 53in sturgeon and pulled it up easily with the 501
LC measures in Meters?
How well does it perform in casting?
Hi Hugo. It casts very well down to 3oz. while Sturgeon fishing I can get the same distance as my takota non line counters.
@@pastimefishingadventures2091 how far can you cast and what weight size ? Have you tried it with swimbaits ?
