Thank you. This was amazing. I have 7 of these reels and finally needed to tear them apart. Perfect video.

    Hi Dennis,
This reel certainly has a large amount of twists and turns to it !?! Fine effort to complete it successfuly, Capt.

I have a tekota 400HG LC and when the clicker is engaged, when I reel it sounds like a coffee grinder…but when line pulls off the clicker sounds like it’s working properly. Any suggestions?

If I were to guess, I would think that the plastic click drive on the back of the spool is worn. It the click is always on when reeling, it could wear down one side of the point more than the other. Since the bait alarm is going in the opposite direction of the reeling, the one side may still engage better than the other and make more noise - Just a guess. I would replace that part on the back of the spool

This is probably a stupid question; but I assume you need to respool your line onto the reel to sync the line with the guide following the servicing. Is that correct?

Not a stupid question at all! In fact, most folks would not think of the out of sync condition.
You can do this two ways without re-spooling. First, you can manually sync the spool to the line guide by keeping the spool out of the reel and then moving the guide to the center before putting the spool in. Make sure that the line coming off the spool is also in the center before reinstalling. You will also need to check whichaway the line is moving and which way the linguine is moving to make sure you are on the same cycle. The second way to do this if the spool has already been installed is to loosen the line guide cap and remove the pawl, then slide the n]line guide into position before reinstalling the pawn and cap. Again, check which way the line guide is moving - back or forth and which direction the line is moving on the spool - Thanks for asking - Dennis
