Really interesting and informative..currently planning on building an aviary in my back garden and going to keep finches .as a complete novice your videos are helping me understand everything I need and what is best . Maybe one day I'll start a breeding shed but happy to start of with a few birds that get along and see how it goes

I'm sure it is difficult but how can you breed macaws that are a pair living together for 3 years. Do I need a big flight cage and a barrel and lots of plants ?
You need an aviary and very large nest box
What about goldfinches? Don't you breed goldfinches?
I don’t really keep many goldfinches to be honest, I much prefer other natives over them.
I do have 2 Siberian goldfinch males but can’t find a female for them sadly

There is a parrot society show in July at Stafford, then the next big sale is National exhibition in October by the parrot society at stafford

No they went to someone’s backyard aviary before the breeding seasons, I’ll be trying something similar this year tho!
Ahhh ok I was very curious since they were clearly a hen and a cock if they were fertile it'd be very interesting , Ive heard lads claim to have fertile crossed between siskins and canaries but can't confirm it myself.

@@OCAVIARY They are some of my favourites. Quite stroppy on the birdfeeder in the garden and getting more so as the weather warms. We have had some siskin visit recently as well. I haven't seen wild redpoll in years. I used to see them in my garden in winter as a kid.

They're not cheap now,pair goodies and bullies £100 plus for natives,siberians£300 plus,,would suggest you go to newark emmba bird sales this Sunday am 24th March have a good look round and get genned up they earent straight forward if you've not had britisjh birds before,
