Great to meet so many fans of the channel at the show! Thank you all for coming and hopefully see you at Newark on the 24th!🦜🐦⬛
…also, great to meet young Adam and his father once again at the show! Another young person coming into our hobby!
A beautiful and wonderful video. In fact, I was amazed by this huge number of bird lovers who arrived, and I was enchanted by the beauty of this place you have in the United States. Thank you very much for your effort. Good luck. Follower from Morocco. I hope for some canaries, mosaic receivers and cloisters.
The first Oriole in the smaller cage is a Golden Oriole. The one in the larger second cage is a Black-naped Oriole (Oriolus chinensis). This species is widely distributed in Southeast Asia. I’m fortunate to have seen both species before.
Very good . I use to keep canary in the past , great hobby .
Sehr schöner Vogelmarkt❤
The black-naped and golden oriole is a native in my country. They are difficult to keep and breed, so they're very rare in aviculture in my locality.
Lovely video keep up the good work Adam
For me this video is just amazing! Love to see how markets and exhibitions are in other countries ! 👍 👍👍👍
Glad you enjoyed!
I missed Stafford spring show😢 but am going to the show in June
Have you ever seen a Amercian goldfinch? They are so beautiful. Thank you so much I love your videos.
Love those pair

Went there many years ago Geoff Capes was there
Geoff still quite often is, he’s a budgie breeder!
Great video but u show next time prices please
Kenari warnanya keren, jadi pengen kesitu
bikin ngiler ya bro
So naic
Lets hope we treat them better
How often is that show on mate
Bro what is the best food supplement u use for ur birds plz guide me
Friend, I'm in Brazil, where is this place where you recorded the animals??
Uk West Midlands Birmingham
Those birds speak
Yes those are chirps of fear unfortunately
Great work capturing the occasion and the birds Ollie, well done!
Спасибо Оли за прекрасный репортаж,приятно глазу видеть работу людей неодного года.У нас пока выставки невозможны,смотрим ваши репортажи ,наслаждаемся!🇺🇦😎
Great video again. Nice to see different types of birds. Hope to go next year.
12:16 Hello, where do they sell these types of cages? I am Spanish
Great video Oli some lovely bird’s on show thanks for sharing
Did I see Kakariki's? I thought they were a native New Zealand bird?
Yes there are Kakarikis and originate from NZ. However they have been captive bred here in the uk for decades to appear in many different colours
Wow that's so illegal. They were almost certainly smuggled out
At 5:34 is that a gold finch I see in my garden ?
Yes they are goldfinches
However in the particular case of that pair, they are Siberian goldfinches which rarely occur in the UK.
In the case of this pair, they are colour variations.
Onthe left you have an agate male.
On the right you have a cinnamon whitetop female.
Just discovered your channel and its awesome. Can you buy crows, ravens or magpies? If so how would I go about doing so?
No. Do you think they would like it?
Yes, people do breed corvid species. However they’re not too common so don’t regularly appear at shows.
The last corvid species I saw for sale at a show was at Newark show in last October, a pair of European jays
You’d be best joining the ‘British softbill society’ group on Facebook and asking for more info on there as I don’t keep them
I didn’t see any Bourke’s parakeets in your video. Were any there?
Yes, often there are quite a few Bourkes
can please someone help me??? at 8.39 on the top there is a big bird in greenish can someone tell me the name of this bird? i am in love...thanks
It’s a turaco
@@OCAVIARY thank you so much
Einen Vogel dort zu kaufen würde mich sehr schwer fallen😊
I’m assuming the small cages are travel cages
Great little video Olli. Nice one mate.
Thanks mate, great to meet you at the show😁
Love this video, mate❤
Some great quality birds & products, I've never been but must make the effort.
Very nice videos but the music is unsuitable for this kind of this atmosphere.. Leave it as natural and normal sound... Thanks
❤️🐦❤️🐦⬛
Those pigeons in the beginning were cool. Looked like they had fur coats on. Cool bird market.
Really
Great show Olly. Thanks for sharing 👍 especially for the likes of myself that are unable to attend.
Where are you at
Thanks for sharing! Please no music!
9:05 were those birds ringed i couldn't tell
Yes
Do the birds get to fly outside of these small cages in your home?
Yes
These cages are only for display, if the owners are caring for them propely there shouldnt be an issue
So Ollie what did you bring home ?? Loved the video mate, its amazing to see some many different species in 1 place xx
great video , is there a schedule of dayes anywhwere of shows and sales as always seem to miss them until I see them on your videos
The bird you show at the end is a black-naped oriole not a golden oriole. Earlier in the video at 5.49 you can see both a golden and a black-naped oriole in adjacent cages.
Yes that’s correct, I made an error there. Both golden and black naped at the same table
Thank You for sharing olivier . Big fan
Top greeny hen that. Love the vids looking forward to seeing your breeding season, all the best .
Добрый день.Эта верхняя птица называется Турако.Очень красивая!
Show ,parabéns, falo de ibaiti Paraná, Brasil
❤❤❤🇧🇩🇧🇩
What those birds live up to 100 years
Poor birds cramped in small cages
Yeah how is this legal poor birds
@@benosa11just temporarily they will have or got better cages
@@benosa11do you really think they will live there for the rest of their life? It’s obviously temporary
Some folk are just thick as shit unfortunately
With everything that's going on in the world can't you think of something more pressing to worry about. Snowflake?@@benosa11
It's a menagerie.
African grey
I used to breed British birds as a kid
Thought now I’ve got a big plot of land I might get back into it but I’m enjoying seeing what wild birds turn up at the moment
Love seeing your videos though , amazed what people keep
Would be amazing to have golden orioles
I’ve only ever heard them in the wild but hard to see
You definitely should get back into it!
id love some golden orioles in the future, just need some big aviaries!
@@OCAVIARY watching your videos is tempting me back into it
Had decent amount of birds nesting on my land but don’t get the same insight as when your breeding birds in aviaries
Hi love your videos, was wondering how much Greenfinches are worth over there.yours are so good.over here in NZ i breed them show some and let the rest go as there is no market for them.If you want new birds you just trap some.theres dozens of them here.
generally £50 a pair for lower quality stock, good quality usually start at £40-£50 a bird +
Class mate
NICE
Im breeding my self 40+ but to many ist about money and not about the hobby..
Thosd birds live longer then man

😢
I knew it !!! There was no way you would come home without a new bird, you just can't help yourself 😂😂😂😂😂
Ilove canre finch bro ❤..im from India 🇮🇳
Thank you😁
How bloody cruel, keeping beautiful creatures born with wings in cages just to look at, and say don't they look nice. They are born to fly. What is wrong with these people. Should not be allowed
These birds are only in these cages for a small amount of time, whilst at these shows for their own safety and reduced stress. If kept in larger cages or even aviaries they would be at risk of more stress and possible injury.
Outside of the show, they are all kept in much larger cages or aviaries
@@OCAVIARY obviously m8 . Most people would realize that don't you think. But its still cruel to breed birds a creature born to fly to live in cages or aviaries, where they are not really free like a bird should be. Many people still keep them in cages and not all aviaries are Zoo size. It's not fair.
I’ve seen Uk wild birds in those cages I thought that is illegal to keep them in cages or am I missing something. Even so they shouldn’t be in cages and I think it’s cruel. I didn’t watch all of the video tbh as it pissed me off when I spotted the gold finch.
@@Warrior6504 Yes goldfinch, they breed them in captivity legally but I'm sure there are those that capture some from the wild. This hobby also encourages other exotic species to be poached from the wild and smuggled in from around the world. It's so wrong, just so people can make money and just look at the trapped beautiful Bird in a cage.
@@Warrior6504 native birds are legal to keep and sell providing they are captive bred and closed rung in accordance to the wildlife and countryside act 1981
wonder what likes of macaws and african greys sells for at these markets compared to shop
A lot cheaper as you’re buying direct from breeders
@OCAVIARY what's An average price of an African grey there for example
@@user-wm6bk3in3h honestly not quite sure as I haven’t really taken notice. That said there was a pair for £950 there, but they’re breeders/aviary birds not silly tame pets like in a pet shop
@@OCAVIARYin my experience birds from pet shops arent even propely tamed, and of terrible quality bc many come from mills. So shows are much better tbh
Too many canaries and budgies in my opinion. I went to the show not many other species of birds as it has been in previous shows but nice video keep it up.
i'm pretty luck i get to see a ton of these birds flying around my house a lot
Finches are just birds with ADHD ..They can't stay still😂
Canary ❤lover
Some birds alright 😂
What is the price of macaw
Birds are not commodities, they are living and breathing creatures just like us. Let's hope that none fall into unscrupulous hands for they are precious gifts given to us by God!
Are u veg😂😂😂
Birds are given wings, wonder why? Not given to YOU, where did you get that from. Are Lions also given to you check them out then you'll understand if you have any intellect.
These people care for their birds, they sit in these show cages only for a few hours until they return to their normal homes, or new homes if they have been sold, where they can fly. The bare minimum of bird care requires for them to be able to stretch their wings. And i dont see why its any different from keeping a dog, and they are often kept even better than dogs with exotic and fresh foods to satisfy their diet, while many dogs get leftovers and are tied to a fence, not able to stretch their legs.
Humans commodify beauty. We just do.

Out of order the size of them cages tbf
Birds should not be caged they should be free
Agree ❤
Yes Ofcouse!!!
But all the Birds in this video have NOT BEEN TAKEN FROM THE WILD. They have been breed for hundreds of years and if you Let any of these BIRDS go. They will die. I am HATE! People who Catch Wild BIRDS, This is a very sad thing that sadly is happening across the world!....😔😔😔😥🤲🙏🤲🐣🐣🐦
Seeing birds in cages makes me angry.
if they don’t be in the cage, you will can’t eat fruit and vegetable, although it’s safe for them.
no bird should be in cage, they have wings for a reason.....
Turn off the music. only natural sounds.
Music is nice
@@worwor1721 natural sounds of bird are far more superior and nicer.
@@xaqudirir4585 Maybe natural sounds of birds in the wild would be nicer, but I’m sure if we could understand them they’d be pissed that they are stuck in cages and being sold in markets
@@worwor1721the birds are well cared for tho, these are just show cages (how else are you supposed to exchange bloodlines and find species that you want?) and in a proper setup they can fly and flap around, if this happened for fish nobody would complain but its easyer to romanticise birds
Need prices
How many of them are poached... and they’re
not commodities. I have a room full of them, all adopted, some were recycled half a dozen times.
Wayyyy over priced lol
Free the birds
How is this even allowed? What guarantees are there that these birds have been bred in captivity and not taken out of the wild. They are being displayed in such tiny spaces, I hope not too many of them perish in transit. I prefer birds in the wild to caged ones. There are an awful lot of men looking at these ‘hobby’ birds.
horrible crampt cages
Yea I know
Birds should be free and not traded. So many are illegally caught and their habitat as and wild populations destroyed.
Isn't this encouraging poaching of rare wild species
No, as there is a restriction on imports to the UK from other countries so cannot get in without legal paper work and/or approval
