Do you hear that noise while running. I’m hearing a quiet rattling noise from the front of the engine. I’m trying to figure out what it is I thought maybe the water pump or timing chain tension but from videos the sound my car makes isn’t as bad as the ones in the videos. I’ve got a 2016 Camry with around 50kmi

It's the air bypass of the thermostat thats makes that sound.
It's a small 1 direction flow little hole with a pin on the top of thermostat.
It keeps the waterpump free from running with air.

Now we all know the sound of a working thermostat makes. If it doesn't sound like this....then that means it's not working. So im checking my thermostat rn!! And by the way tht ain't the pump my friend.
