I hate that she’s gotten hate. Sure, Grace has been given some awesome opportunities…because she’s a once in a generation type talent.

She's really not all that good a player, certainly nothing special.

I’ve been playing guitar semi-professionally for 40 years. She is better than me! Wow she is really good and unique

Seems just yesterday she was just posting little clips noodling on reddit. Her playing's come a long way.

Following her for a while now, she had more of a brownish hair when I first started to follow her. Alright blues guitarist. Rocks? Yea, definitely.

I hate, that you hate, that she's gotten hate... but what do you expect from a Bonamassa that's got a gash?

I don't understand the attention and adulation flung in this girl's direction. From what I've seen, she's nothing but a mediocre blues guitar tyro. If you want to see and hear something special on guitar, albeit in a different genre, check out Hal-ca in the band Asterism. From the age of fourteen or so, Hal-ca was far ahead of Ms Bowers in chops, feel, composition, performance, the whole deal. She was amazing right from the start and has only improved upon what might have been the pinnacle of achievement for far too many artists. Bowers has got a long way to go to match the virtuosity of that fourteen year old and I have my doubts she'll ever make it.
P.S. Check out young Li-sa-X, Esani Dey or Ayu Gusfanz as well.

You‘re comparing two different guitarists playing two different styles: Hal-Ca is more metal, Grace Bowers is playing blues(rock). Guess that both ladies will not even meet each other once in their lifetime.
And if you talk about feeling, remember that it is you „feeling“.

Genre doesn't matter. It's about mastery of the instrument, no matter what style of music. Your inability to appreciate that fact renders your opinion on the subject invalid.
Stephanie Jones is a technically more proficient guitarist than David Gilmour (and any professional studio musician has it all over the vast majority of rock musicians). Cassandra Wilson is a better singer (and songwriter) than Taylor Swift. Wang Yuja puts Billy Joel to shame on piano. Styles don't matter in the comparison.
Hal-ca hit the ground running and has only improved. Ms. Bowers should still be in a bedroom somewhere posting vids to Instagram for the next decade or so.

The girl knows how to play. She can jam with the best of them. Mediocre? I do not think so.

This is ridiculous. Grace is just an okay guitarist. She has a handful of licks, and likes to noodle around. Elevating her at this young age is a recipe for disaster... If she doesn't improve dramatically in the next 6 months, she will be yesterday's news. Grace needs a great teacher, and needs to get out of the spotlight, and practice, practice, practice....She has potential, but doesn't have the skills, and experience to match the media blitz they are giving her. TH-cam does not create world class musicians....
