Bonjour admirable organisme et immense virtuose
In those nimble fingers and flashing feet, I could just imagine the swelling tide as it rushed into the confined space of the cave and blew out through the blowhole and then receded, to repeat once more........what a truly electrifying experience! Jonathan, you're a legend!
brillant! DEcades ago I did restore a self playing "Aeolian orchestrelle" big reed organ and one of the paper rolls was that ouverture and that reminds me to that instrument
One of my favorites by Mendelssohn! Bravo! Thank you for the hard work to make this music come alive!
BRAVO! BRAVO!! BRAVISSIMO!!!
The organ playing of this masterpiece is irreplaceable , and wonderful , and full of admiration and emotion

Magnificent registration and balance. Absolutely brilliant ☺️
Sublime - I would love to visit Staffa's cave with this music on my headphones!
There used to be a version of Fingal Caves on TH-cam that was absolutely supreme in its imitation of the orchestra sound and now it's gone
Talk about control of the organ. Jonathan really practised his scales. Thoroughly.
What is there not to like about this?
Marvellous!
Absolutely love that roar from the reeds starting at about 9:15. Just enough to raise the hairs on the back of your neck.
A truly masterly transcription, played on a fantastic instrument - what a sound!
I agree about the amazing sound from that instrument and in that building...wow!
My all time favourite piece of music, thank you!
Merci beaucoup, and have a wonderful day and Year ahead, with more musique to come!! Bonjour to All!!
Non è solo questione di fare commenti con più che meritati aggettivi di merito, per me si tratta di ricevere......molto. Ancora grazie.
This melts my heart. It removes bitterness, fear, sadness, hopelessness.
What a wonderful way to be purified by the sacred fire of music!
Fingals cave is a nice piece! Very evocative melodies that resonate in the soul. And so musical, engaging. Have always loved it! PWG
grandiose !
thème très bien transcrit pour l'orgue qui dechaîne les elements de ces lattitudes nord mas aussi en chante le calme revenu braviii pour ce grand travail beau !
Great work
Great music and fantastic organist !
Thanks Jonathan and Tom.
Great idea to separate out individual items from the concerts but please please keep the concerts coming!
WOW! BRAVO!
I'm visualizing that cave as I listen. How relaxing. How lovely. Thank you Jonathan & Tom.
Just stunning is every which way I can imagine. Bravo 👏🏾
What a grand performance on a beautiful instrument- expressively played to it’s potential while the physical beauty of the instrument and its surroundings wonderfully captured. Phenomenal teamwork!
Amazing! Fleet fingers and feet making beautiful music>
Wow... how good was that, spellbinding thank you
An Incredible Performance!! Thankyou so much for this! Your feet move so fast! x
MORNING THANK YOU
my grandfather arranged this for an accordion symphony orchestra (family based with students i have a recording from about 1964 and it was awesome i have it on mp3 now :)
Absolutely BRILLIANT!
Wish I could have been there to hear it live. Excellent.
Truly fantastic. Jonathan, I don't know how you do it. You certainly take advantage of every instrument in the orchestra and you are a master conductor. We do love you! Many thanks for keeping all of us richly entertained during this difficult CoVid time. Be safe and stay well.
Fantastic!
I’ve always loved organ music and this is amazing and your footwork is outstanding Jonathan...
AMAZING!!!
Mendelssohn's most beautiful and haunting composition, in a stunning arrangement. Hope it will be published!
The score is available on his website. Link given at the top.
Loved that. Special
Absolutely incredible. This piece is so beautiful, vibrant and dynamic. (I even named my son Felix who I had in 2020)
Fantastic! "For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them." (Luke 10:24)
Jonathan, your transcriptions of orchestral pieces for organ are always just BRILLIANT! Thank you!!
So many notes in 11.06!! Wonderful playing as always. Many thanks again.
Congratulations ! That's excellent work. You truly have talent for arrangements.
A fabulous piece, beautifully played. Thank you so much Jonathan and Tom. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Yet another fantastic rendition of a great work, using perfect arrangement of stops, the amount of effort from both of you is really appreciated.
Watching and listening to these, with your wonderful talent, brings joy. Thanks
an arrangement of great skill. beautifully played. One of many stand out performances from the 2020 series and an inspired choice to take us foward into the new year,
Thank you so very much. Although I love all the wonderful uploads of Jonathan's, I have been hoping for Guilmant's March upon Handel's "Lift up your heads" from Évreux Cathedral. Love that piece. Who knows? Maybe next? :))
You spoil us! Thank you!!
Beautiful interpretation!
WOW Jonathan superb piece on an extraordinary Quoirin organ, greetings from Spain.
If you haven't yet watched the whole concert from Évreux you should as its an absolute wonder.
@@epincion Thank you for informing me. I will try to see the entire Évreux concert. I was really impressed by the wonderful sound of the organ Quoirin Thank you and a big hug from Spain.
This is such a marvelous instrument. If I was rich and immortal, I would own a church and an organ. Hehe
PS My family is from Scotland, so I love anything to do with our homeland.
😍😍😍
A great boost in the covid chaos.
How does one get allowed the play this organ?and great job!
I think he also gets hired to service the organ.

Top skills, but robotic in nature. It lacks the reality of a live performance. Over engineered and over produced. You've done so much better, don't become another CC. I'm sorry, but this one gets a thumbs down.
Blow it out your nose
My first though was that was a major orchestral piece, this will not work. Then I remembered this is Mendelssohn, yes this will be amazing on the organ
Fantastic!!!
