Love the video I . 6000 has better cut quality and my son make sure I know it . His is a 31 hp he bought this summer it has baffles The 4000 has minimal baffles it can cut taller grass better with the 35 hp it is impressive Review pretty spot on
When I used to mow professionally the blade edge difference only seemed to be noticeable when your property would let you mow at 12 mph and depending on the grass type there could be a slightly higher cut quality at your turnaround point but the speed was the most noticeable difference between the blades in my opinion
The Parker pumps are much more quiet. The 4000 5400 hydros are being tested now, 400 hours on 2 very quick but you can hear those 5400s wine. No complaints so far 👍
Been by there many times. Now that I know you are there, we're gonna have to stop in one day.The longer cutting edges do help pick off stragglers to some degree. A longer sail (lengthwise from end of blade towards the center hole) helps with a cleaner cut as does having a more upright or taller sail. Take a look at Oregon 91-638 blades for example of a longer sail or the 91-628 for a taller sail.
I hate how the manufacturers are so deadset on having something that looks cool rather than it functioning like it should. It's a mower and all I care is that it cuts grass well and is comfortable to run. You wonder why equipment costs as much as it does and there's a very good reason why.
The main differences between the 6000 and 4000 series are as follows. The 6000 series has a 80 ksi turbo force with the front flow baffle kit installed (better cut and discharge). The Parker HTG Transmissions do not have a planetary gear reduction (ZT 5400 does) means 97% less moving parts on the motor end of the transmission (roller motor in Parker vs stick piston motor in hydro). The Parker also run extremely cold. The 4000 has 50 ksi steel, does not have the front flow baffle installed and has smaller idler arms on the mower deck. Also small items such as bearings tend to be more heavy duty on the 6000. Both decks are sensitive to deck rake and level. Finally, the length of edge on the Exmark blade assist in the micro cut they hope to achieve with their front baffle design. Raking the mower deck is what causes only the front edge of the blade to be involved in the cutting process…
What are the prices? I was in a toro dealership a while back and they had a really nice looking 60 inch cut I believe Toro zero turn for around $5500. Is that one of these?
Love the video

I really like the tip about switching to the Exmark blades. That's solid.

4000 series why put gas gauge on opposite side of fill up ?
Because when you fill it up you will know when it’s full. It only holds so much
What model has rear discharge

These range from $12000 to $20000
Good video 🤠
How much for a total for 1000 HXD pro XL 60 inch deck
I use toro also and I use exmark blades on my toro and it’s a big difference in the cut quality the exmark blades cut way better the the toro blades
Like the 4000 better then 6000 mostly because of handling on hills and even lesser grades
It’s good if you’re land is small
6000 hangs hills better. Its planted
deere blades are best no other kind of blade made ran both and know
Deeres are trash
