Was watching this movie with my mom and we couldn't stop talking about how her Pinhead was so oddly beautiful and horrifying at the same time. She did amazingly. She took over ever scene.
Yeah I have to agree. I'm not in love with this new film, to me I'd give it a 6 or 7 maybe, but I feel like she really stole the film in the scenes she showed up in.
I knew as soon a I read that Jamie Clayton was playing the Hellpriest this movie would be PHENOMENAL! Because, there’s NO replacing Doug Bradley’s legacy. Making pinhead a female like they did in the comics with Kirsty was the only way to reverse the cinematic suicide the sequels had become and Jamie was just an absolute EPIC pick! Because, she’s as hot as she is talented. This movie was beautifully shot and I’ve watched it 5 times already. Time to make another..Chop, chop!

The Hell Priest was absolutely the best part of the new Hellraiser. I found this version to be a bit more intimidating, even with the more subtler moments. I just hope that there’s a chance to see more of this version of the Hell Priest

I absolutely LOVED this new Pinhead. She is so stunning (never thought I'd say that about a cenobyte) and her voice was so beautiful and commands respect. I wish she had more parts in this movie.
Her performance was so otherwordly and ethereal. She could make or break the movie, and for me, she absolutely made it worth watching. The cenobites in general are very well designed, different from the original movies but in a good way. I love that they did not oversexualize Pinhead. I liked the tone of the movie as well. The original pinhead can not be topped, but this depiction stands right next to it.

As a massive Hellraiser fan, I must say that this movie surprised me with how much better it was than I thought it was going to be. Now, I didn't go in to hate watch it, I was just cautious and not expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. The cenobites, particularly The Gasp, The Weeper, and of course The Priest, were superb in both performance and design. This film did a wonderful job of making me root for the "bad guys," and seeing the cenobites finally go to work brought a wicked smile to my face.
I just wished we saw more Cenobites and less of the retarded friend group, bit more flaying would have been nice but for a reboot/re imagining of a dying franchise Im more that happy with it, hopefully a bit more blood and torture in the next film though, if there is a next one.
I've never been familiar with Jamie Clayton's work prior to Hellraiser. So it's nice to see what she actually looks and sounds like outside the makeup.

A great interpretation and played very well. Very intelligent, the makeup let you emote and act very effectively, and the story served the character well. I wish the suit portion was a tiny bit "gooier" but that's very minor. Wonderful work!

This movie genuinely should’ve had a theatrical release. Imagine seeing it in a theatre?! Big fan of the two first original movies but this really took it to a much more dark, gloomy yet beautiful tone the franchise deserves.
I felt the same way about Prey. I'm glad these movies are more accessible but I definitely would have enjoyed being able to see both of them in theaters.
It's nice seeing people giving Jamie Clayton her flowers, she deserves more big roles for sure. It can't be an easy thing to have to take on such an iconic character especially with how beloved Doug Bradley is, and she knocked it out of the park.
Just saw the movie on Hulu, her look reminded me of a cross between Nebula and the engineers from the Alien franchise but she had much more depth to her character. The priest is cold, wise, yet so calculating you never know what she would do next.

This version of pinhead was PHENOMENAL, idk if I feel like this because I straight up went in watching this with VERY hope for the franchise..... but after some time, I was all in, ESPECIALLY that brutal line to the patient with lung problems "Save your breath......... for screaming" 😱🥲😱🥲

As a huge fan of the books and the earlier movies, I was really skeptical, but my god she was amazing. This whole production was miles better than it had any right being, please keep making them.
She did such an amazing job portraying that character (granted, I feel like all the cenobites did an amazing job portraying such alien beings). I also feel like it's a great contrast with her Sense8 character (really shows quite a range). I feel like she's one of those actors where I really don't see "the person" in the performance, I only see the character. By a similar token, I feel like every time I've seen a Tim Curry performance, I very quickly forget that it's "Tim Curry" and mostly only see "the character. I feel like Jamie Clayton has that skill too, and it's a pleasure to watch her performances. I really hope that this 2022 Hellraiser film (with behind the scenes featurettes like this) gets a bluray release in the near future.
Also, I feel like there are lots of small ways in which she made the role her own (like how she said familiar lines in a way that "didn't make me think of the earlier films," but rather it felt very organic and natural that the character would "say that" in that moment and in that way.
Excellent, cant wait for the sequel! Would be great if they did a followup to the original story somehow, like guest appearances from characters in the first movies or something.

I just wished we saw more Cenobites and less of the retarded friend group, bit more flaying would have been nice but for a reboot/re imagining of a dying franchise Im more that happy with it, hopefully a bit more blood and torture in the next film though, if there is a next one.
I've never been familiar with Jamie Clayton's work prior to Hellraiser. So it's nice to see what she actually looks and sounds like outside the makeup.

I just watched the film last night and she stole the show. She was so good as the hell priest. She was very creepy and oddly mesmerizing at the same time. She really knocked it out of the park. Hopefully she returns if they do another.
I really enjoyed that they went a completely different route while paying homage to the original. Not a bad remake at all but damnit it needed more kills 🤣

A great interpretation and played very well. Very intelligent, the makeup let you emote and act very effectively, and the story served the character well. I wish the suit portion was a tiny bit "gooier" but that's very minor. Wonderful work!

This movie genuinely should’ve had a theatrical release. Imagine seeing it in a theatre?! Big fan of the two first original movies but this really took it to a much more dark, gloomy yet beautiful tone the franchise deserves.
I felt the same way about Prey. I'm glad these movies are more accessible but I definitely would have enjoyed being able to see both of them in theaters.

It's nice seeing people giving Jamie Clayton her flowers, she deserves more big roles for sure. It can't be an easy thing to have to take on such an iconic character especially with how beloved Doug Bradley is, and she knocked it out of the park.
Practical effects will also reign Supreme and will always out last pure CGI. Awesome movie and Jamie was excellent.

Just saw the movie on Hulu, her look reminded me of a cross between Nebula and the engineers from the Alien franchise but she had much more depth to her character. The priest is cold, wise, yet so calculating you never know what she would do next.
My family and I loved this remake, we hope to see her again in a sequel.

This version of pinhead was PHENOMENAL, idk if I feel like this because I straight up went in watching this with VERY hope for the franchise..... but after some time, I was all in, ESPECIALLY that brutal line to the patient with lung problems "Save your breath......... for screaming" 😱🥲😱🥲

This was such a good movie that beautifully honors its source material and original film. It's a new take on a film that doesn't ever need another clone attempt. I cant wait for more like this

As a huge fan of the books and the earlier movies, I was really skeptical, but my god she was amazing. This whole production was miles better than it had any right being, please keep making them.

She did such an amazing job portraying that character (granted, I feel like all the cenobites did an amazing job portraying such alien beings). I also feel like it's a great contrast with her Sense8 character (really shows quite a range). I feel like she's one of those actors where I really don't see "the person" in the performance, I only see the character.
By a similar token, I feel like every time I've seen a Tim Curry performance, I very quickly forget that it's "Tim Curry" and mostly only see "the character.
I feel like Jamie Clayton has that skill too, and it's a pleasure to watch her performances.
I really hope that this 2022 Hellraiser film (with behind the scenes featurettes like this) gets a bluray release in the near future.
Also, I feel like there are lots of small ways in which she made the role her own (like how she said familiar lines in a way that "didn't make me think of the earlier films," but rather it felt very organic and natural that the character would "say that" in that moment and in that way.
Excellent, cant wait for the sequel! Would be great if they did a followup to the original story somehow, like guest appearances from characters in the first movies or something.
