nice video and I'm sure your channel will grow a lot. Small suggestion, in this type of video it would be helpful to show also if the game is for PC, PS4 etc.
I enjoyed Jusant but it didn't grab me as much as i was hoping. It's definitely worth playing but I was just expecting more from it. The climbing mechanics are quite simple and I was hoping climbing the mountain was going to be more challenging. The sections when not climbing are surprisingly clunky too. Still, it's nice and chilled, oh, and art style and music are gorgeous!
no American Arcadia, Dave the Diver, Highland Song, Hi-Fi Rush. Surprised. One game that nobody is Sludge Life 2. While I don't think it's GOT, it's definitely a great game.
Highly recommend Small Saga. Quite possibly my game of the year. Pseudoregalia also hit my childhood nostalgia button better than any other game I've played.
@@larock0wns yeah, clarifying indie games is hard, hifi and dave are not considered indies but you coukd make that point for a few games here. I need to try american arcadia
Congrats on growing success. These rapid-fire reviews are popular but still leave you feeling a bit empty. If you don't slow down, pause and let everything soak in, it sort of just all washes over you. That's not a criticism, it's an observation about style and intent and expected audience maturity. Off course if someone has played the game themselves already - none of what I have said matters. I'd love to see some in-depth individual reviews exposing the heart and soul of some of your favourite games. What makes them so special in your eyes? Why not try to do this for a game like Outer Wilds?
Great Video, keep it up you have got some quality, high polished edeting skills! I thought oh wow another random around 500k subs channel but nope, but Like i said you have already a great quality 😁 I subscribed! 😆
How do you find time to play all of these games long enough to know this much about them and also write the scripts for all these videos? I'm sure you have a regular job as well. Your time management is off the charts.
@@PHIZZI I watch a lot of these, and id say 80-90% of games I know. (A ton of these lists are unimpressive rehashes) So yea pretty much lol. You chose some good games though, and now that I can see which ones I am missing, I am actually returning to watch more! I actually think youre much better than most, but yea, hope you can see my predicament. didnt mean bad by it. I treat all of these the same way, but yea I watched yours for a good bit now. But yea i bet it goes both ways, gl with the balance!
Pizza tower is just mean as hell. So image playing super Mario the lost levels but you have to play it backwards when you get to the end & your on a time limit. That's how hard the game is
Don't Nod is the definition of independant in many ways. But they are a large studio at the same time. It'd help if there was actually a concrete definition of indie these days
@@PHIZZI They've been published by Square Enix, they had 5 game projects going at once. If Don't Nod is an indie (and by the way they're one of my favorite ever developers) then I think we should just stop using the term "indie" entirely. :-)
Yeah It'd be nice if the industry could define Indie- Double A and Triple A clearly, not going to lie. Jusant in particular was entirely developed and published by Don't Nod in this case so- I included it. Mostly cause I also wanted to talk about it@@johnblanco9674
Yeah, half the outlets say it is, half say it isnt, I was on the fence and don't really think it is but- I wanted to talk about it mostly even if its not quite indie
the addition of the subtle humor and great coverage of indie games makes your videos so great. cheers
Thanks for watching!
you definitely have the voice for these type of videos
Im sick atm this video took so many takes thanks to good ol' throat struggles haha
But thank you, I appreciate hearing that!
Best year for indie games in a looong time! Viewfinder Sea of stars and DREDGE were all out of this world
It was a big year
Bought one and added most of the rest to my wishlist. I love the rise of indie games and happy to support their developers.
So many creative/amazing indies this year!! Your videos are amazing! Keep the great job!
thank you! I'll try.
Struggling on the time front
Venba was sucha breath of fresh air, the music the characters oddly satisfying
Your writing and commentary are phenomenal. I'm so glad I discovered your channel.
Slay the Princess is an absolute gem of a game. I finished it in one sitting and it instantly became one of my all time favs

I'm sure too. His voice and narrative style is so good.
