Don't understand why so many keep saying 2023 was a monumental year for gaming. There are a lot of indies that look interesting but most don't seem my cup of tea. Most aaa sequels to and remakes of games I don't care to play again. At least someone enjoys it I guess
I’ve been loving Cassette Beasts and Darkest Dungeon 2! Im going to keep an eye out for spiritfall. I’d also like to add some things you may not have checked out yet! Luck Be A Landlord - Deckbuilding roguelike Sea of Stars - Pixel art Turn based combat JRPG (one of my favorites of the year so far) Lil Gator Game (technically released mid December of last year but still) - Casual adventure 3D platformer I’ve been obsessed with all 3 of these lately
Dredge was definitely one of the best experiences I've gotten this year... After playing the demo during halloween the year before I was more hyped about THAT game than Baldurs Gate3 (in part probably because BG3 was still so far away at the time ;)
Oh man, finally some love for Bramble. Me and my kids had a blast going through that one. Also shout out for Shadows of Doubt. That one doesn't get enough love. You actually mentioned a game I'm not familiar with. That doesn't happen too often as I'm super in the loop when it comes to gaming. But Meatgrinder is one I'm going to have to look up now. Thanks!
I definitely recommend dredge it was a blast. The game play is great and the story is even better. 10/10 storytelling and definitely invokes that sense of fear without making it a full fledged horror game.
Blasphemous was amazing, I love pixel art platformer games !! I also loved katana zero when it came out and I and really think that we need more games like those. Right now I'm waiting for Anomaly Agent, hope it will entertain me for a while. Bramble the mountain king was phenomenal, best atmospheric inside-like game since little nightmares series!
viewfinder was an awesome experience for me, i fell in love with this game. its atmosphere, visuals, soundtrack, mechanics, storyline, its just stunning. highly recommend it to literally everyone also you're so underrated! you deserve much more subs!😮😮
Hello, the indie game named Compass of Destiny: Istanbul, which is currently in early access, will be released as a full version on December 14, 2023. We would be happy if you include it on your channel.
Thanks! Viewfinder, Humanity, Killer Frequency are absolutely going to my favs as I'm looking for an unusual gameplay without violence and dark. But nevermind that, I will try Meatgrinder as well :D
Hey would be really convenient if you added sections per game and list of games with timestamps on the description. Had to rewind few times to jot down the names of games that seemed interesting. Other than that great video!
Having loved the hell out of DD1, I could not get into DD2. It feels like a massive downgrade in everything other than graphics and I don't understand the praise the game is getting when it feels the devs seemed to fundamentally miss the mark on so many things that made the first so great.
"Dave the Diver" is not considered an indie game. It is a casual, single-player adventure RPG developed and published by MintRocket. While it is self-published, it has the backing of MintRocket and Nexon, which makes it not independently published. On the other hand, "Hi-Fi Rush" is also not considered an indie game. It is a rhythm-based action game developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda Softworks. Although it may have a smaller budget compared to AAA titles, it is not classified as an indie game.
One I feel people are sleeping on is Afterimage. Very pretty metroidvania with good movement and a world larger than any I've seen in the genre. Writing sucks, but everything else is pretty good.

If you read reddit your country is a literal warzone, the funny thing is that those people are probably the ones destroying it with their ideology, like here in western Europe
Dave The Diver is definitely NOT an indie game. Mintrocket, the studio that created DTD has 30 team members, which makes them a AA studio. On top of that, they are a division of Nexon. Nexons 2021 revenue was $1.8 billion USD! It’s unfair to all the other indie studios to call DTD an indie game.
Talking about "indie" games, yet put Dave the Diver in the list (even the first in the list). Seriously, just because Dave using pixelated artstlye doesn't mean it's indie. Just looking at its cutscene is already enough prove how their budget is bigger than your usual indie games. MINTROCKET is NEXON. And there's no way you call NEXON an indie company. The game's still great tho, definitely worth even at full price
Or to be more accurate, much like modern day big city America (run by radical liberals). Cities and town that are run by anything by radicals seem to not have that murderious problem...

Indie games are fuckin yonks old and we still can't get this right?
Hi-Fi Rush is from Tango, the creators of The Evil Within and GhostWire Tokyo. Its most definitely not an indie game
