Those knife grips are really interesting, and I'm glad you showed them. For modern folding knives we EDC, like the Katana or Desangut, I think grips 1 and 3 will be the go-tos.
I don't think i like those grips whereby the knife/cutting edge is facing me and especially at times the fight could end up on the ground and my arm/elbow be twisted/force to the knife point/thrust against me. I will always use a fixed blade not a folder for offensive use even one with a 4" blade not a folder for quick deployment.
