on a diesel, you should call it a charge air cooler, where the HD truck shops have real big ones, and that is the language. I guess you can call it intercooler, if you think little
Since the first time I saw this truck on TH-cam, I have wanted to see it run. We made it down to Byron that day. Absolutely beautiful truck but I have been curious to what failed?
The system normally operates at 12k-26k psi. Most traditional diesel engines operate at an average max of around 16k psi. The fuel pressure is critical to how a Duramax functions. They use micro pulses and multiple orifice injectors to control combustion and burn cleaner. It also has a lot to do with why Duramax engines run quieter than most diesel engines.
@Johnny M. Ritchie thanks I have always been curious because in my opinion the older step side's look much cooler and have seen a lot if old c10s with newer stepside bit never vice versa. Wouldn't a fleetside be better for aerodynamics
Very impressive. However I think it's sack religious to drop that Diesel engine in a c10. From looking at the bed of the truck it looked like it was off of a 90's step side Chevy
I'm ready to see some 7's outta this beast.👍👍👍

@@DanEvan what a throwback. That's badass, hopefully no more tragedies in his future. Thank you for sharing.
@@adrenaholic1 I felt the same way man! To see the new setup and result I was so stoked.

It's enough to make a grown man cry.. Very nice work, otherwise - thank you for sharing!
Thank you!
That's unfortunate, love the build.
I watch 7 second passes all the time but this thing is obscene! Nothing like a fast diesel.
Somethin’s cookin’! What’s for lunch?

Glad you were able to make it, according to Brett a fuel line under 28k psi failure was the culprit
Twenty-eight thousands pounds of fuel pressure?! Sweet jesus!

Whats with the violent clunking on the starting line?? Was that intentional?
Factologist it's called a bump box, it temporally disengages the trans break so it can stage at the tree without losing boost.
What model rear axle differential was he using?
if that was anything but a diesel it probably would have burned to the ground.

bitchin tube work.. very clean
Shit's on fire, yo. 😦
What kind of dmax was it ?
What happened to the original truck bed?🤔
twotwocold that's exactly what I said that 90s step box look is ugly
Why do people put those newer stepside beds on those trucks

As much as it sucks...
All that really matters is the driver didn’t get burned
What state is it legal to run 1 head light?
Most states. Daytime lol

what that mans name in the intro ?
You need to have your eyes checked Sir
fascinated by the visuals but extremely disappointed by the lack of narration.
No words are needed, if ya aren't stimulated then call your doctor lol
victoryredcolorado 😂😂😂 my abs hurt after that comment hahahaha
I could give you more than 1 reason why it is not street legal. lol
truck vs ozone layer ...ozone layer loses
You're aware diesel burns cleaner than gasoline right?
@@victoryredcolorado roger that
