Ruth the effort you put into editing and commentary shows in the end result. I don't know if you hear it enough, but I appreciate your work. Thank you for what you do.
Don't sell yourself short, Ruth. You really do a great job of describing your experiences. Every episode has a beginning, middle and end as you weave a story through the beautiful video sequences. Absolutely wonderful story telling. Thanks for sharing.
Ruth I started watching you just before the concrete was pored not knowing it would take so long. But every week I watched & was so impressed by the effort going into the project & those that help with advise & some with their skills. e.g. Garret learning to weld. But lets not take away from what you have done. I'm in awe of you both. Especially how you worked together to achieve the goal. So to see you enjoying the beautiful company on board, and enjoying the fruit of your labour is nothing more than adding wow facter. Lov U guys.
Another great video and a great analysis of boat life in the Sea of Cortez. Yep, lots of work and I know there are rough days but, oh, the rewards ! Great little beach family and good food too ! Happy sailing..... and, thank you for sharing your adventures.....
You should be concerned at the state of the pre filter. Have a look in your tank(s), they may need a clean out and possibly super chlorinating - something is a growing in there!😳
Watched you through the build, during Covid, then took off on my travels in a little Airstream West and then Northwest, two years later I'm checking in! Glad your in the Mexico, Travel on, Sail on!
I Have sought out that light at the end of the tunnel . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . realized it was a train headed right for my a** . . . . . . ! ! okay, thanks for another very enjoyable video ! ! take care, rh
Sweet Ruthie, thank you for all the creative ways you keep us informed, your kindness comes thru the shots and the words you string together. Garrett buy spray foam, and fill the dinghy ... it will never deflate again ... even if you want it to. Fair winds dear friends.
I'm right where I want to be, planted firmly on the beautiful ground and building a regenerative farm. But... this world can be a real heavy place, especially these days. Salt & Tar is my go to for lightening my heart with a weekly shot of beauty, joy, and a worthwhile struggle. Keep up the good work S&T crew and know that you're loved and appreciated!😍
Found your channel this morning while drinking some coffee in Portland, Oregon SW Hills... Thanks for the great content, commentary and overall fun. Fair winds and following seas. Peace
You cheered me up again! We just had a solid day of Storm Bibet lashing us at our moorings, luckily very good ones. It'll take days for the river to settle down again, so what better thing to do than hunker down in the cabin and watch you guys! Thanks yet again 🙂
When I lived on my boat (10 years) I was given a conk and used it as my "ships whistle". When I moved off I took it with me. Now it welcomes the New Year every year. Takes time to learn to play it like a trumpet.
This episode was one of the best in a long time. While it's slowly getting colder and darker here in southern Germany, you took me into the carefree sun for a few minutes.
Keep living L.I.V.I.N. y'all deserve it. I remember picking out your channel deserves you were doing it. I'm not here to harsh on anyone but out 7 or 8 sailing channels in down to 4. You guys2 more young family's and another with 2 English people and 2 More boats. Both gambled on fixing a boat.
Nice. I'm many years off from cruising. My $1 wooden Tahiti Ketch, Maverick needs a partial rebuild and a full refit before she can put in and set sail. Going to see her today to prepare her for her move and to gather footage for an intro. SavingMaverick is the channel if anybody is interested in my project.
Just subscribed. Sub to Calico, Delos, Parlay and others. Look forward to your back catalog of vids. People get to live through you guys. And I know editing and filming while your doing this is a whole other element of stress and mental fatigue. Even with a proper office on land; this is not easy and you do it on a boat while conserving electricity/batteries/solar, etc. Everyone's (sailing channels) have been really amazing editing and production. Which doesn't have to be done but you do and it doesn't go unnoticed FYI. Fair winds and following seas! Cheers!
Wish there had been some sort of conclusion with the Generous Family that invited you to there Home for what looked like a Wonderful Evening??? But... No Reflections or appreciation of their Welcoming Generosity... Awkward!!! Otherwise... Wonderful Video... Thank you for your Efforts!!!!
We had a great time and we paid of course. It was dark when we left so hard to film but it was a great evening and a welcome surprise to find a restaurant in the simingly middle of nowhere. R
Hey thank you vor all this god contend, i look from the start oh. A question: how du you do the upload with starlink? I have starlink as well an make youtube but it takes days and the curent consumation is to big….regardas RoM

No matter, in life, the places you go.
Strangers are just friends, that you yet, don't know.

Man all is need is some cool buzz and some tasty waves. And I'm set. Well if we're me I'd add some cool tunes
I think “Kinsey” might be the Mexican word for “Hooligan”. What a riot, love her.
Haha I’ll take that as a compliment, thank you. Happy to provide some laughs!
@@Kinseythevagablonde it was a compliment, you’re one of those people we would enjoy in our backyard. Keep having fun and making merry.

I like to hear about the technical stuff, like the filter thing.
Happy to have as an honorary Australian Ruth (and you don’t need to grow up). Hope you make down here to Oz one day

Word of caution, NEVER MAKE CHICKEN CEVICHE 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love ur channel!!!
The only time I have seen Ruth look scared was when they were surrounded by thunder and lightning. I think that I would have been scared too

Haven't seen/heard Garret playing guitar in quite a while.
Oh be careful!
The "wrong pants"?
That shear white wispy thing is pants?
Looking good!
I so want to have me some fish tacos! Cheers
Those tortilla's were not fresh. Here, I'm lookng at them because they are dated , but a dead give away is when they don't flop around.
👍
kinsey !
What are those plastic bags you were using? Another great episode.
What happened to the wagon? Did it crash and burn???
Im curious, when locals invite you to dinner, is there any compensation, gift exchange, etc?
Yeah, we paid of course 👍
So delicious 🤤
R
@@SaltandTar ive always been so curious of how cruisers take care of the wildly generous locals / families.
*thanks for the reply.
Would y’all build the same boat again or use different designs if money wasn’t issue? Thank you.
Looks like you guys fell off the wagon..
So when does the baby factory open?
Just to put realism in your vids, we watch them for butt. Keep it up. Sailing is good too.
4:04 I think I can tell the difference between kaitlyn and Bruce now
