I'm pretty jealous of Kinsi right about now. Not just her beaming smile, but getting a life full of experiences it seems, but all of them in a single day. And that's day after day with you guys. I have some regrets in my life but to live a little vicariously through y'all and Red', allows me to put them away... Just love it, you guys, Red and the always missed, Swab.
This was NOT a video. This was a art filled documentary. Ruth?!?! So beyond incredible. Stunning. I hope rail meat falls away. Can only imagine what she thought being called that? No comment. I couldn't possibly be happier for all of you. With HARD WORK, and the patience of a saint, you're handmade boat is getting us all there. Jeez I could comment a book. Linzey.... a sailor's daughter. And a diamond. What I took from this was live and community. The way boaters do it. The stress and struggles I am quite sure are very real. But with Garret and the community, I feel that your all "safe". For being in Mexico that's a relatively small comfort. I am so happy and proud of all of you. 💯❤️❤️❤️😊
Bin there. On a fishing trip with the boys just after high school (early 70's). Hot and the power shut off at 10pm nightly. Beautiful waters full of fish.
I’ve watched your progress through the years and loved every bit of it. I was also so very impressed when you boldly announced that you were going to quit drinking. I do think you were getting carried away with the drinking. It’s so sad that you seem to be heading back down the same path. You both seemed to be better when sober. I hope this doesn’t offend but I’m an old guy that’s seen that life is so much better sober.. enjoy your journey
Bit of advice to Kinsey. Do not get used to spicy food. Back in the days I had a girlfriend from Indonesia. Java. Great food and I loved it. Ikan pedis, mackerel with rawiet, red peppers completely dried, was my favourite in the end. To cut a long story short I ate my cheese sandwich with half a bottle of Tabasco. In a few years I killed all my papillae. My sense of smell and taste was completely gone. So, it was rehab time. One year later I was able to really enjoy food again.
Film time 21:00, gets my vote for best ever photo of Rediviva, thanks Alex🎐Honestly, this may be my favorite single report..perfect poetic dialog, super cheerful attitudes, sense of humor, camaraderie, body shots, beach cafes being taken over by Baja's bestest chefs, dramatic coastal footage, and a running dialogue that's beautiful, innocent, honest & cute..such as- 'foot-wetty'🎐
I totally understand looking for greener pastures. I spent 16 years in the Arizona desert, and while it certainly has its own start beauty, I am so happy to be in northern climes where water falls regularly from the sky, making things grow. I am looking forward to seeing you on the other side of the rain shadow.
What a beautiful tale of all that’s great about cruising and finding like-minded good hearts to make memories with. At the end, all I can say is that Garret has an unusual smile. 😂 Stay safe and well, sending hugs and fair winds from a wild wet and windy Cornwall, UK. 😎👍🍻
The culmination of videos like this is that, no matter the sailboat, as long as there is at least one loving and lovely woman there, the adventure, expense and and journey are worth it. You will not regret a single moment of it all.
panama canal right now is messed up, a draught there means less water for the locks, so less shipping, and they are charging more due to this, it already cost around 5 grand for salt and tar to go thru with guides etc
I went back to your first few episodes, I can't believe your overall integrity in getting this boat done. Mad respect ! I know a little bit about grit. I'm a second time divorced 52 year old guy putting up a 36 x 42 barndominium through every step with little or no help. I think that pails in comparison to what you did. Genius or crazy the jury is out, but again mad respect :)
What you need is a tops'l above the main set on it's own spar which you hoist aloft with the sail attached like the Falmouth Oyster Boats in Cornwall, England.
10:20 YES Ruth, spot on🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 And beautiful story telling as usual! Perfectly timed comments about the lighter boats as I'm currently contemplating what is best for my eventual buy, old and solid or new(er) and fast. 🤔 It was fun to see you enjoy a little speed and dexterity for a bit! I'm actually on my way to crew on a 100-year old wooden gaff-rigged boat! First time on a boat like this. I'm very excited!!!
You've have had the pride & pleasure of building your own boat from the keel up and sailing it. Maybe next you might put your skills to work resurrecting a "Shannon, Cape George" or other aginging world cruisers worthy of a second life. That can take you anywhere
This may have been your best video ever! You captured the beauty of sailing with the rail in the water. The fun of companionship. The wonderful difference between boats. And the beauty of the baht! Congrats!
Garrett and Ruth, Great episode. Redivia sure looks awesome under full sail. Thank y'all for sharing. Cheers. Blue Skies and Fair Winds. Faithfully, James
I spent a couple days at Bay of LA while on a motorcycle journey. Fresh fish tacos, Borja Mission and then south to SanFrancisquito and Arco. You should get a small scoot or electric bikes to make forays inland. The flora was amazing on the road to Borja, and a cactus forest south of BoLA was fascinating.
Hi. I live on Maui but dream of Baja and the sea of Cortez, my former winter home. I will be back. Soon. And in no small part to your videos - many, many thanks to you both. Aloha 🤙
You 2 put in some *honest* days building Rediviva, not to mention some Soul-crushing frustration with her main. It's Nice to see you enjoying the fruits of your labor. Good Job•GOOD JOB! ⛵🏝️ 🦃
Really loved your music choices from beginning to end.. Thanks 😊❤ oh and the video segments (I don't use references to shooting anymore) are always exceptional with smiles and long hair blowing in the warm wind.. all so fine. Yes Garrett yours as well...😂
Hi Ruth when you mentioned going through the canal i though oh that would be a bit of a hit to the budget. The last cost i have heard was $1600 for a small sailboat. The previous was $800. Sad that it had doubled in one jump. Have a nice day. Tom up in Canada in the Maritimes at the NB-NS border
Great episode. I love your little pirate ship, character out the a.., my favorite is the legit climbing rungs. thank you for the youtube escape, you guys are great :)
Wow! Beautiful photography aesthetics especially at sail. You are a favorite (sailing channels.) Congrats on your success. Saw that this video was viewed 1.1k 20 minute after posting
We really enjoy your show and all your exciting adventures and travels even though we are not sailors but we have owned a few power boats over the years. Nothing like being on the water 💧 Hats off to you guys for achieving your dreams and building your own boat 😊 Blessings from Vancouver Island BC Canada 🇨🇦 cheers 🍻
There is a channel with a boat currently in the Atlantic with a name pronounce Sershia but its spelling is something I can't tell you. I did take a close look at the spelling on this boat and I believe its the same ! Seems like the channel is named Beau and Brandy ? Not sure. Yes, we watched hurricane Norma absolutely crush La Paz and Cabo , and another crush Acapulco ! I watch these closely because we give out weather every morning on the Chubasco net 7.192 !
Rediviva might do 2.3 in 8 knots but it smells like real wood and feels in a way that fiberglass will never understand.... its a give and take, just gotta decide which flavor suits you... I dig rediviva and her personality, big time!!
Wowsa dudes! Excellent content. Remember an AC40 would circle you both on this wind level. But tacos not really feasible on the AC40's. Sail on dudes.🎉🎉
Would it be possible to post the recipes of the food you guys make?? Either with the video or your website. :) Thanks. Everything you guys eat looks delicious.
Kinsey is such a sweetheart, but no brainer. Beautiful people attract beautiful people. Alex is a total Legend as well, happy you have quality people to buddy boat with.
So nice to hear an American who knows how to pronounce Saoirse . She must have originally had an Irish owner. Greetings from Ireland - challenge you to pronounce my name ??
Wow. That looked fun. But is it as much fun as leaving home at 6am and fighting through traffic to work. Clocking in at the office. Doing accounting for 8 hours then fighting home through traffic to a ready meal and rubbish on tv. The do it a agai next day. Sigh. 😢
Awesome episode, guys! Quick question... isn't it hard on the mainsail on downwind when it's hard up against the topping lift? It really was apparent in the aerial shots. Maybe no big deal.
I'm pretty jealous of Kinsi right about now. Not just her beaming smile, but getting a life full of experiences it seems, but all of them in a single day. And that's day after day with you guys. There is only one thing more obnoxious than a reformed drinker, and that’s a vegan.
That impromptu cruiser gathering looked really fun. Very cool.

Ruth, your writing has become so very good. Your story telling are a perfect accompaniment to your accomplished video editing. Thanks for sharing.
Really love the drone and boat to boat shots. Whole new prospective on your beautiful boat.
After that "Hot " and spicy dinner! It looks like you will need snowballs to wipe with in the morning!
I was glad to see you all. Hurricane Otis tore up Acapulco, I was worried. Otis went from Tropical Storm to a cat 5 in a couple of hours.
Kinsey has one of the most beautiful and natural smiles you feel the moment great video guys
Good to see all is well, we were beginning to worry about you! Thanks for sharing.
Makes me remember my mama. She loved seeing a lady running a boat, as she often did. Cheers, y'all!

I have lived in AZ for over 20 yrs now, I love my heat, hate the cold and would love some greenery and waterfalls.
What a beautiful tale of all that’s great about cruising and finding like-minded good hearts to make memories with.
At the end, all I can say is that Garret has an unusual smile. 😂
Stay safe and well, sending hugs and fair winds from a wild wet and windy Cornwall, UK.
😎👍🍻
It’s been amazing to watch your story unfold! It’s even cooler to see her sitting at anchor after sailing into the anchorage.
Well done!
Salt&Tar! “Kinsey” Bueno!! ⛵️🔥😎
OMG, some of your narrative wanderings are just beatiful. Almost bring me to tears sometimes. Happy tears
Soooo glad to see this post...I live vicariously through your channel. Glad everyone is fine. 😊
The culmination of videos like this is that, no matter the sailboat, as long as there is at least one loving and lovely woman there, the adventure, expense and and journey are worth it. You will not regret a single moment of it all.
Great video. Was a great night. We miss all your smiling faces. 😊
Love it every time I see a new episode! We’re cruising on different sides of the world but can’t wait till we meet!
If you want to swim with whale sharks, mantas, sea lions and hammerheads….gotta spend some time in La Paz, Bahia de La Muertos and Gordo Banks!
panama canal right now is messed up, a draught there means less water for the locks, so less shipping, and they are charging more due to this, it already cost around 5 grand for salt and tar to go thru with guides etc
Poetry, as usual. And wonderful dreams ahead. Meanwhile … live the moment! 🎉🍻💯🤙🏽

You both have had the courage to follow and live your dreams, very rare.
Thinking back to when I really sailed, in my late teens and twenties, I loved sailing with the gunnels awash!
Thanks for so wonderfully sharing the Beauty in your life.
Out freekin standing!!! How smooooth it is.
Kinsey rocks!

A cool video, I really enjoyed it. I think your boat is more romantic than the average boat. Thanks
Such a beautiful ship! Sail away come sail away!❤
She looks good with her sales up

Amazing shot of the Falcon 9 launch!
Actually was Victrix Knox launch.. part of US Space Force. But it was very cool to watch.

A change to anything over-than Desert Brown would be really, really nice.

I smiled for over 25 minutes today. Thanks!!!
Groovy episode. The food on the beach looked mighty tasty.
A nice episode with no drama only musings on why you sail great job.
Pure bliss. Thanks y'all!
Your boat never looks better than when all sales are up and full of wind.
Beautiful photography on this video!
We really enjoy your show and all your exciting adventures and travels even though we are not sailors but we have owned a few power boats over the years.

Nice prose Ruthie.
She sure is pretty from above!! ❤😊
So nice to hear an American who knows how to pronounce Saoirse . She must have originally had an Irish owner. Greetings from Ireland - challenge you to pronounce my name ??
Dang it, Ruth, I'm running out of superlatives to describe your videos. Thanks!

Cool boat, whose design is it? Great videos.
