This video has pushed me past my doubts about fitting in general, and encouraged me to reconsider PXG. The fitter (Jasper?) was a a fountain of understanding and lucid communication.
What an amazing fitting, Jasper was incredible about getting the right combination of forgiveness, distance and feel. PXG is just the best there is on market. Can't wait to see Bret continue the journey to single digit now he has the perfect clubs for his game. Well done guys and God Bless.
I love this series !! I don't comment very often but i felt like i had to on this one, for a 34 min video it felt short and wanted more. I've been watch for years and have always loved the channel . this is a welcome change to the cheap golf club reviews that i don't really care about. well done james. i can't wait for the next one.
You should have told us the price of the fitting James as I’m sure a lot of viewers would be interested in getting a fitting session after watching this video.
I was hesitant to watch this, fittings are not very interesting and I admit I’m not a PXG fan. But, I did watch and was very pleased to see an excellent complete fitting, well done James! Again, not only a good fitting but a very enlightening video.
I must admit James I’ve never been a fan of PXG and the ra, ra, rar! and military vibe, but I recently hit some irons I don’t know what Gen they were but I was very impressed with how the performed and the feel. I have watched a few fittings they have done and the detail they go into I was very impressed with what they do and the end results!! I might have to book a fitting and see what the can do for a sixty eighteen year old single handicap’er with a knakerd back!! 😂 It will be interesting to see how Bret progresses. Good luck Bret and enjoy the new sticks!!
Great content again James been following for a while now & never comment but had to this time as it was PXG I’ve been looking for a few months at getting a set myself & after watching this I’m definitely gonna. Keep up the good work
I “think” I heard James say, “Whatever you want.” But whatever the case may be, it was incredibly kind of James to set this up for Bobby. I really enjoyed the video👍🏻
Been awhile that I commented. Just love this type of content. Second to your top second 100 series that I watch every week. I am 72 and just dropped 6 and 7 irons for 7 wood and 7 hybrid. Hopefully lucky 7s. Taylormade Stealth driver red Ventus reg Velacore 5 7 woods black Ventus reg stock. 345 Mizuno hybrids Tensi blue reg. 7 Fli Hi 7 and 8 9 pw gw Mizuno with reg Recoil shafts. Mizuno 54 58 T22 S 400 shafts. Who knew this is what could work at my age. Thanks for great content keep it up. Following for years. Hope family wonderful. Lost my golf playing dad last year. Lots of good memories though.
He must have come into some money, a full bag fitting, including clothes and carry bag, as a PXG iron user for some years, I know the costs. That new putter is awesome and a contender for the L.A.B putters. Watch out James, ready for some serious competition now! PXG offer one of the best own brand bag fittings.
Nice selling trick with the tube. I'd expect almost any toe-balanced putter to rotate like crazy in it. The Zero Torque putter stays on line even if your hands don't, or in other words, it doesn't respond to any rotation you have. Which is a little different to simply "massive momentum" Granted, I know someone who putts awesomely with a LAB zero torque... It definitely works for him.
What I'd like to know, which no one seems to mention about fitting is the overall cost. They tell you the cost of the actual fitting process, but not the price of the clubs after you've added the custom settings. eg A standard set of ping G425 irons is approx £700- £800, so how much would they cost after the custom settings are added?
I’ve always had the same question man. I just never asked anyone because I felt like it was one of those “if you have to ask, you can’t afford it” type of things. I appreciate you asking a question that probably a few people wanted to know. I’ve been out of the game for a long time now, so prices are totally different than what I remembered paying of course. I’m sure fitting costs have gone up as well.
I just had a full bag fitting, travelled to PXG London. Booked 2 hour full bag fitting. Walked away with iron set and hybrids. There was no charge for the fitting. My mate did the same, but just bought 7 irons, even though had a full bag fit booked, again, no charge for the fitting. Treated us like Kings and Queens. Connor was superb
Nice review. Surely though the distance gain is mostly (if not all) to do with modern vs traditional lofts, especially with the power bats? I recall his current irons were old, so likely up to 6 degree (1 1/2 clubs) difference?
Great video as always but there's only one reason the brand new black ops was put in a 12 handicappers fitting and it wasn't to try and get him to single digits 😂
I'd love to have a full fitting to see if I've got the right clubs including shafts and I'd be interested to know just how much the whole experience costs.
Well he got 3 sugar daddy 3 wedges. Those are $319 a piece. Irons are $1200. If he buys everything he’s fitted into, he’d be out a touch over $3000. But usually PXG will give you the fitting for free if you buy something
Living in Northern Ireland, we have nothing like this in depth fitting experience. Yes the PXG rep goes round the clubs but all it is is a guy with a trackman with a suitcase of heads and a few shafts and you get on average 20 mins time slot on each "fitting" which is nowhere near enough.
Great video but I don't agree with choosing the grip at the end me personally think he was fitted into the wrong irons cbs or something on them lines would be better distance is not everything
When hitting the ball off the carpet the resistance is virtually zero. When hitting out of a lie buried in the rough you need a totally different kind of club. Fittings are no substitute for experience.
Save your money mate you will get fitted for your performance now give it a couple of months change, bad players should practice first and if serious about golf then get fitted. I was fitted but I listened to myself, used ladies shafts hit 20-30 yards further, look at golf life and what Jimmy Bullard said, he's so right.
As a LAB putter owner, I am a believer in the tech of the Allen putter. But putting a blade putter in a free spinning tube is ridiculous. No one holds their putter so loosely that it spins out their hands....
My PXG fitting experience consisted of a bored guy sitting on a couch watching me hit balls, then handing me shafts to try. He was slightly annoyed when he had to go to his car to get a x stiff shaft. Never looked at numbers, just waited for me to hit a few straight. He was medium surprised that I bought a set of irons and did give me a slightly bigger discount than what I came in for. I think his annoyance came from the fact that I was going to buy Gen5 irons and he couldn’t upsell me into gen6 Keep in mind this was NOT a PXG fitting center, but a PXG partner site. I gamed the irons all summer, and will be making a 4 hour drive to an actual PXG center to have the fit looked over as they don’t quite feel right
@@JamesRobinsonGolf excuse me clueless? ok so I want a car and I go to say Tesla ..I buy a comfy car that they sell .I get home to my cabin and no electricity for miles it was a good fitting no it was a sale ..I go to golf town and say I want to be fitted for a set of irons ..the guy pulls out one brand four styles and says oh this is a right set? nope. a sale

Really appreciate you watching and commenting Wes. Lovely car as well!
Cant wait to see you towel Jim bob, Brett. Congrats on your new tools. Pleasure to watch. Well done James.
Great series so far Robbo. Looking forward to seeing more of Brett's journey. Great fitter in this video too!
Loved thr part where Jasper said on your journey with James really enjoyed the fitting best of luck
You should have told us the price of the fitting James as I’m sure a lot of viewers would be interested in getting a fitting session after watching this video.
I got fit by Titleist. The cost was $100, which could be used towards my purchase. The fitting was essentially free.
I did a cobra 🐍 one in Australia and they are Free , full bag fitting
Could you not call PXG yourself and ask if you’re interested?
@@MrCraaazzy no
Pxg is free when you purchase the clubs.

What a fantastic fitting video the knowledge jasper had and the way fitted every club to his swing 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻there’s always a but the cost 🙈
Getting fitted is a good thing to do Well done James 👏 😊
That was fantastic one of the best fittings i have watched
Loved it, very intriguing 😳😁😁
I’m sure Jasper used to work at Golf Principles in Basingstoke, awesome club fitting video
What a great video, pxg look amazing
He’s like a kid in a candy store! I’m happy he got a fitting and enjoyed it.
AWESOME video well done now ya have me thinking about that putter thx alot lol cheers guys
lets PLAY then!!!! cant wait!
I would love to see a follow up video with how these new clubs have affected his game and his handicap over the next few months.
That’s the plan Thomas. A full series including lessons and advice

On the US site the clubs and bag alone are at least $4200.....
Its all free, as the series is sponsored by PXG

Very interesting fitting
I would LOVE to see what would happen if I got fitted for something. It’s like the fitter just changes ur game completely 😜
Great fitting, I think James could be able to get him to about 5 handicap, you can do it Bret 👍.
My name is cooper as well and i do need some saving too
Wish I could afford to get fitted for a full bag like that, must be such a great experience. Sucks to be poor
Nice review. Surely though the distance gain is mostly (if not all) to do with modern vs traditional lofts, especially with the power bats? I recall his current irons were old, so likely up to 6 degree (1 1/2 clubs) difference?
Hi James loved this video was wondering what was the cost in full and how easy is it to get one

Google ROC Golf pal im heading overom Wedensday for my sons new driver fitting, it looks the business.
I don't get the PXG hate in some quarters of the golf fan world. I would love to try those Black Op and Gen 7 irons.
Can we get a breakdown of the price ? 🙈
Nice video …. My only question is with the cost of clubs what is the total prices for the whole set up ? I say around $4,000 😬
great experience...what would it cost though? and I play a pxg driver
I have found fittings are helpful, but it isn’t always the fix for bad swings!
Great fitting , but dare to see the final cost of the bag !!!!
Just to let you know I scored 8 putts in a row from one Brett to another but did buy putter
Great video but I don't agree with choosing the grip at the end me personally think he was fitted into the wrong irons cbs or something on them lines would be better distance is not everything
James you look like the Richard Gere to Julia Roberts here 😂
Was that club fitter the secret love child of Gordon Ramsay?
Regards,
Dazza. 🇬🇧
Your in for a game now James. What was the price difference

The Allan is a good putter, but it's not to be confused as a zero torque putter like the LAB 👍🏻
Didn't Brett have a fitting at Titleist??? Or was that just for driver?
Just a driver mate
he also had a fitting for wedges.
“Modernise the wedge setup”…is that only because the lofts on the irons are somewhat punchy…especially compared to previous irons?
