Under the Hindu Law ,a wife gets an equal share of the assets of the deceased husband [ it means husband died ] divided between other Class I heirs ,the children and mother . This apply only if the husband dies intestate [ means he dies without making a WILL] I f there are no children and other claimants ,the wife is entitled to the total property .Thanks.
